Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

I absolutely love my parents. There is no other love in the world I cherish the more. No matter what I do, their love is there for me. The one word I think of when I think of their love for me is UNCONDITIONAL.
So everyone is so excited for flowers and chocolate today but I am excited to receive the crib for my first child’s nursery!

My mom used to always color in pages of a coloring book for holidays and leave them on the table for us when we were children before we went to school. usually valentine’s day isn’t a big deal for me and my husband, it’s a cute occasion but we don’t typically do much or anything except acknowledge it verbally. but this morning i woke up and my husband had stayed home for the morning to make me a surprise breakfast-with-all-the-works-in-bed (pancakes, cheese omelet, sausage, tater tots, orange juice, and coffee). i’m so lucky that i don’t really deserve to get even luckier but if i win the clutch i will give it to someone to make them feel extra special and lucky, too!!

My boys ages 8 & 5 are my Valentines. They help me create decorations for the house, make and frost valentine’s sugar cookies (thank you for the recipe, by the way) and make valentines for their friends and family. It helps to have non-commercial ways to celebrate the day! They’d enjoy the bag too – they call me a princess and I am honored!

I have two special people – my mom and dad. They each help me tackle life/give advice/etc for different things so I would say together they fill that role of a “special someone.”
At school, we do this cake pop “rose” thing where we can fill out a form and send a rose (yellow = friend, pink = like, red = love) and we can send it to anyone we want (it can be anonymous too). My friends and i sent some funny ones to each other and said that we were madly in love with one another (red, of course)! everyone was asking “who sent that?” My brother woke up early today and made me blueberry pancakes. although they were slightly deformed and burnt, he is my valentine today!
My Dad. He is the best valentine ever, because he was worried he would have to work overtime tonight he had roses waiting for my mother and I last night! The yellow roses were a perfect addition to our breakfast table.
I love that my soo-to-be husband “gets” me. Despite many trying times in the last two years, he was beside me every step of the way. I am so thankful to have such a loving, amazing man by my side. I love him more each day and can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
Oh how I love your website…Since owning a Candy Store many moons ago….I live through your site and remember how my Mon and I loved to make Candies…Some of our recipes we developed are now at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The smell of Chocolate melting in pots at 6:00 a.m. in the morning for fresh Fruit Dipping, and making Barks and various other fun candies….When I see some of your recipes the smells all come back it seems like your site has scratch and sniff LOL. I don’t know which is cuter, the chocolates or the purse. And my valentines this year are my parents. They mailed me some chocolates for Valentine’s Day. It was so sweet!
I must just say that my mother is a sweetheart – always thinking of others before herself and always willing to lend an ear. I’m blessed that she was my first valentine.

This clutch is a must have! This valentine’s day I am celebrating my husband by making him some delicious espresso cupcakes! He is in medical school and always so busy and tired, I thought espresso cupcakes would be perfect to wake him up on-the-go! He is the best thing that ever happened to me and I am so grateful for his love! I hope he knows just how wonderful he is!!

These are super cute, i wanted to make homemade things this yr and didn’t get a chance but there are some hours left in the day so who knows.
This yr I have a valentine, my lovely bf. He makes every day super special so valentine’s day is just an extra special day. He surprised me with chocolate and a mickey mouse doll and a crown ring that i’ve had my eyes on. I loves him.

I am very proud to say that my “Special” valentine is my husband of 30 years, I love him so much – seems in this day and age 30 years could be setting some kind of record :-) but I think I love him more today then on the day we married.

I want to wish my parents a wonderful wedding anniversary today. They are a true inspiration to all. They met at age 15, married at age 16. Had two babies by the time they were 20. Today, they celebrate 42 years of marriage and I am so proud to say they are my mom and dad! A true love story!

MY husband is the sweetest. He’s off training for deployment #4 and sent me a picture holding a cardboard love note that one of his soldiers took (which he has never done!) He knows how to melt my heart! Thanks for helping us remember how special our loved ones are!

Most men marry their wives at their best – the prime of their lives… mine met and married me as I still struggled to recover from a severe car accident that nearly took my life, and did take my health. By the time I met him I could walk again, but still had many health problems. He has lifted me and loved me through all the bad all all the good. He is an incredible inspiration to me, akways thinking of others first. I couldn’t say enough good about him!!!

My boyfriend is truly the most patient man I have ever met — it’s amazing to receive unconditional love on this earth! :D We have been doing long distance for 2.5 years (pretty much our whole relationship), so I’m super excited he will be moving nearby next month!

My husband and daughter did some last minute Valentine Day shopping last night. I got to open one of my gifts this a.m. (I happen to know some chocolate is waiting for me after dinner- YUM!) and it was GORGEOUS charms to add to a necklace they gave me last year. My daughter picked them out because I mentioned that gray would go with a lot of the outfits I wear to work.
She is the most thoughtful ten year old (and stylish!) that you can imagine!

That purse is adorable! I’ve got a new job with hours that never allow me to see my sweetheart awake until the weekend. I work 4:30pm-1:00am M-F while he works 8am-4:30pm M-F. It’s been a little hard but he still hugs me each morning and kisses me goodbye before he leaves. He stays up late on Friday nights so he can see me. He’s a little sweetie. Happy Valentine’s Day!
