Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

My mother. She is the most amazing person ever. I have seven siblings, and she somehow finds time for all of us.
I’m going to tell you about my sister, who is relentlessly hardworking and giving and spends her spare time and spare money on the differently-abled children in her preschool rehab program. I’m not much of a purse person so if I were lucky enough to win this clutch it would go straight to her.

My hubby rushed downstairs before me (after only an hour of sleep) just so he could stand beside the table where he had set up the gifts & handmade card he had gotten me! As wonderful as his gifts were, the best part was his smiling face & knowing how much he loves me! He is and always will be my favorite Valentine!

I have been blessed by family and friends with loads of love lately. We have had so many little sicknesses…yucko! My wonderful mom even dropped by with a balloon for each of us and cards for the girls, which really brightened our day!

Oh my goodness, so much sweetness in this post! I love the cha cha chocolates, the wrappers and the sweet clutch! I always to something special for my 7 guys on Valentine’s day which is to make them sugar cookies with royal icing. I also made my sweet husband (who just bought me an open heart necklace for our 19th anniversary which was yesterday!) a candy jar etched with his name and little pieced of candy on each side of it. I filled it with his favorite chocolates because I am so sweet on him!!!

My daughter (5 1/2 years old) made me a card this morning that said- “I love you, even when you’re mad at me”. For her brother (nearly 2) she made a card that said “I love you, even when I’m mad at you.” It’s great to have a kid who really understands that love is not just gifts and gestures, but just something that can be there all the time, unconditionally. <3

My two year old melts my heart each afternoon when she asks me to cuddle and sing to her while she’s going down for her nap. When we “cuddle”, she grabs me around the neck and hugs me tight while I sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to her. It’s absolutely one of the best parts of every day – even when I’ve had a long night with my equally sweet 10 month old.

These are so cute! I love the fact that they can be personalized with home-made candy wrappers. I stumbled upon this site in the past month, and have already made cake balls, and Oreo balls multiple times since. I love making them, taking them to parties, and most of all, I love eating them. Everyone in my life is my valentine because I love them all very much, but my very special valentine was my boyfriend. We’ve been together for a little over a year now and we’ve been through so much together that it has made our bond/love stronger. Not a lot of people had faith in our relationship and even through all the hardships people still doubted us. We love and appreciate each other to the point where we don’t even care what others have to say. We’re young but we’re in it because we want this to work. He’s my best friend and he’s my shoulder to cry on. Wouldn’t change my babe for the world.
my daughters are the most wonderful girls ever. they put a smile on my face everyday and i love them for that because i have way too many crazy things going on in my life right now.

Being Valentine’s Day, I was going to say something lovey about my husband, but I’m thinking about my mom instead. We live far apart so I don’t get to see her as much as I’d like. She’s the best mommy ever. No matter what, she’s always there for me and I’d be lost without her.

My special valentine would be my baby sister. She was born last year and this is her second Valentines day. We have this little tradition where my mom will go out to a store and buy us little treats and when we wake up we go to our dinning room table and where we sit for dinner is some candy for us. This year I got some baby ruths for my treat! YUMMY!!
Kate spade is good but really expensive so I would like to have this because I could actually say that I own something from kate spade.
Also if I do win it would be pretty awesome if I Bakerella put a piece of paper in there and autographed it! It would make all of my dreams come true!!!
My wife makes nutritious, but tasty, food so I can lose weight and get healthier. She puts in a lot of effort for me.

Now my Valentine is always surprising me. He can go several years without even acknowledging this day of love however this was a ‘pay attention’ year. I’m with ya! I am a total sucker for Kate Spade!! Someone special….hmmm…I can only pick one? I think I’ll pick my Grandma! Sometimes I think I love her more than my DH!! She is always so calm and full of great advice! She’s ALWAYS there when you need her and that one person that truely understands me. I love my grandma!
My valentine is my 26 month old grandson, Charleston. He has a terminal neuromuscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. We were told that he wouldn’t live past 24 months, but today he is at Disneyland with his mommy (my daughter) and daddy!!!!! I would love to win this purse for my daughter, to give to her for being the best mother on the planet. She is by Charleston’s side literally 24 hours a day, caring for him. She even sleeps with him on her chest, to make sure he’s breathing. It would be a wonderful treat for her.
