Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

I love this idea! My special Valentine is my middle daughter-Leah! She loves chocolate but is allergic to caffeine, so this idea will fit using white chocolate for her. When her whole 3rd grade class gets brown chocolate, I will have these for her, which are even cuter. I’m sure my other Valentines (daughters- Makayla & Shea) will have some too.
He’s been my lover for nearly 32 years, and I can honestly say I love him more today than ever. He’s the best ( now I didn’t say he was perfect.. – just the best) . And the purse – way toooooooo cute!!

NPR put up some valentine-ish cards today, i sent one to my sweetheart, it pretty much sums us up. We love NPR and I’m pretty sure we love each other! hahah! I received my first Kate Spade bag last Christmas. I have always loved their designs! This is just too cute! fingers crossed!

I have something sweet to say about my sweetie. Today is the fourth anniversary of the day he gave me my post-wedding engagement ring since he couldn’t afford one when we got engaged. We were sitting in Applebees and he pulled out this little white box and inside was the prettiest and most unique ring I had ever seen. Everyone in the restraunt thought we were getting engaged…and we were…again :)
Our son is my other Valentine. At three he is into everything and is everywhere all at once…but in those quiet moments just before bed….he makes my heart melt and I forget (for a minute) about all the crazy we went through getting to that moment!
And to you Bakerella. Thanks for sweetening up my life. My manager and I were talking about you today when she brought in cake pops for VDay. You are so amazingly great!! And such an inspiration!

i’m gonna post anyway.. because i want to share something special done to me by my fiance.. we’re living in jakarta, indonesia, and that means there’s traffic jam everyday.. the distance between his place and mine is about 1 hour driving, trafficless.. (with traffic, it’ll be 2 hours min.) and so this one morning, needing a few stuffs to baked my brownies, i asked for his help because i was carless at the moment..
what’s special about that you might ask.. what makes it special is because, that day is actually holiday.. a day where he could woke up later and did his things.. but because of me, he woke up early (same as his office hour), get me all the stuffs i needed, drove all the way to my place, wait for me to finish all the baking and get the brownies delivered to the ‘owner’.. that is just the sweetest thing a man can do.. i love my boy! :)

My husband is my special person. We have been together for 10 years, high school sweethearts, and he is my best friend. Often i catch myself smiling for no reason, and then i realize it is because i am thinking of him. He’s everything a girl could ask for in a partner in life!
And my other special person is my little Memphis, our Boston Terrier. Best thing that has happened to us. We brough him home at a ripe age of 10 weeks and he was no bigger than a can of soda. He greets you at the door and knows no stranger… there is no purer of a love than that!

I have multiple special someones. Their my little brothers and I love the more than anything and I would give up my life to let them live if I had to. Even though they can me a little tuff to handle sometimes, I wouldn’t change them a bit.
I am 18 years old and the person I love most in life is my mother.
She is encouraging beyond belief, believes in everything that I do, and I whole heartedly know she will shower me with love until the day she dies.

The prettiest little chocolates! This Valentine’s Day I am thinking about my Mom and Dad. I lost both of them last year, they passed away 19 days apart – they knew each other for 70 years and were married for 65 – they were true Valentine’s, best friends, wonderful parents and grandparents, never spending time apart and very much in love. I think Dad must have planned a date for them in Heaven for Mom to follow him so quickly. Happy Valentine’s Day Mom and Dad, we miss you dearly.

My father was my biggest valentine. He would always give us a card and flowers on this day. I miss him, but every valentine’s day, reminds me of his sweetness. My parents are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary today, so my sweet comment is about them. They’ve recently undergone a few big financial changes and it really inspires me to see how strongly in love they still are, even after being married for such a long time and during such trying times. True love is sometimes considered a myth but I know that they will be together for years and years to come.

I’m very excited to spend today with my husband. First I have to get through the exercise class that he is teaching, which I’m sure is going to make me sweaty and smelly. Then I get to make him his favorite steak dinner and strawberry shortcake sushi for dessert. I’m so blessed to have a wonderful man like him in my life.

I have the best hubby ever. He told me I’d already given him his valentine gift this morning and I shouldn’t get him a thing. We’re having our first baby in a few weeks and he is over the moon.
My special someone is my husband. I can’t think of just one thing he does special because there is so many wonderful things about him. He stands by me through thick and thin. Though we disagree like all couples do, he has never once yelled at me. He calms me when I get upset and is my protector. He is also a great father to all 4 of our kids and makes sure they all get one on one time with him so they know how much they mean to him. I’m proud to call him my husband, best friend, and the best dad to our kids.

My valentine is my amazing husband (of 6 and 1/2 years). He calms me when I’m stressed, and just wants to see me happy. He does most of the cooking, laundry and cleaning (yes, I know I’m spoiled). He helps me with my baking projects and makes fabulous filled chocolates, chocolate covered oreos and is a willing back up mixer when I need the extra help!

As always – the cutest things are here at Bakerella! I love checking out your place! There are many I love – all in my family. Particularly tender in my heart today are my nephews (one serving a mission for my Church in Mexico and the other who makes poor choices is serving something else) and my niece (who lovingly serves everyone in her family without complaint). I live a blessed life because I get to be the Aunt to these three. All are adopted so I also have to give a shout out to their birth parents who so lovingly made my life complete!
If I had that purse – I’d have to use it as a pass along. I’d fill it with the chocolates and then pass it along to someone in my family. The instructions would be for them to enjoy the chocolates and purse. When they are ready, they can fill it with their own chocolates and pass it along to the next deserving person. It would start a fun tradition!

My hubby BigDaddyRob is my Valentine lover for the 17th year in a row. This year he is extra special because not only is he an amazing dad to our 6 kids, but he also taken on being Dad to my niece&nephew after my brother committed suicide 6 months ago. Watching him take 2 more kids into our home so lovingly has mad me love him like never before! We are blessed beyond measure!!
