It’s been reeeeally hot outside lately, so I decided to try out a cool looking recipe that I’ve had lingering around for a while (since 2005 to be exact…man, I can’t believe it’s been that long).
Here’s the recipe:
Chocolate & Peanut Butter Ribbon Dessert [2]
It was perfect after a long, hot day… cool & creamy and easy to eat.
Next time, I’ll layer this in foil-lined individual ramekins [4] instead of one 9 X 5 pan though. That way I can just pop one out of the freezer as needed. The loaf pan size is pretty, but I should have served it at a dinner party or something, because I still have half of it in the freezer. I think cute layered cups of cool desert would be more fun to eat.
The recipe is from Kraft’s Food & Family magazine. You should check it out. The subscription is FREE and includes 5 issues each year. One for each season, plus a holiday issue. I love getting this in the mail. Lots of quick and easy meal ideas and great photos, too.
