They are partnering with authors, artists and blogs to encourage people to give books for the holidays and I’m helping them spread the word. Books are a perfect gift don’t you think. There’s one for everyone. For every age, for every interest. They are personal and the right one can really show the recipient how much you care. They feel good to hold and they make you feel good to give.
I know because I’m giving away 10 books courtesy of Chronicle Books.
I stuck with all cookbooks and I tried to find a good mix for keeping or gift giving. It’s up to you.

The agony of choosing between the Sweet & the Savory. I think I will go with Savory after all, I’ve already given the Cake Pops Holiday book as a gift and it’s on my own Christmas list. So Savory it will be. And I’m jumping right over to Chronicle Books. I’ve actually been to their San Francisco store and love, love, love that Publisher.

I was certain that I’d want to win the Sweet set, until I saw the Savory set!! I’ve added many many of those books to my wishlist, but I’d definitely like to win them so I can save all that money (and get them far sooner than if I had to pay for them myself!!) I’m particularly excited about Plenty, Keys to the Kitchen, Pasta, Chicken and Egg, Eat Like a Man, and The Newlywed Cookbook!!!

Oh they all look so scrumptious! I’d love them both but I suppose I should go with the sweet because it gives me more options in my arsenal of sweet things to make for others! That TrueBlood Cookbook is on my list though!!! My cousins and I watch it together every week during it’s current season and each week we make a different dinner and dessert based on what we think will happen in the next episode! I agree, when toys got out-of-control for my nephews as they got older (meaning I can’t afford what they want), books were the way to go.
