The book is now shipping. I’m nervous. And excited. And nervous. I really hope you guys like it.
That is if you decide to pick one up and flip through it. Or buy it. That would be cool, too.
To help promote it, my publisher asked me to do a little video. A video with motion and sound. Scary stuff.
I think they wanted a quick author bio type thing, but they said I could do what I wanted.
So I decided to take the opportunity to make a little cake pop how-to for you guys… an overview.

This is Micah. He came out and spent the day with me while I messed up about 4,000 takes. He was cool. And patient.
I think he may have even had fun.
For the record, this was much harder than I thought it would be. Looking straight into a camera when you’re the only one talking is tough stuff. This was much different than being on Martha. When I was on the show, I didn’t even see the cameras because I was so nervous and this time I was so nervous because I was staring straight into one.
I think this way is harder.
Luckily, Cupcake Julie was there to keep me focused. Actually, I was there. This is her kitchen.
Micah went home with lots of pops…

P.S. Is it weird that I wanted to buy a copy of my own book? Probably, but I’m still super excited. It should arrive tomorrow. Yippee!
And to clarify… my publisher sent me copies. I just wanted the thrill of ordering and receiving it myself. I’m sure I’ll be hitting up the bookstores for some, too!
Mine came while I was on vacation – I was so excited to see the box on my desk at work when I came back. It is BEAUTIFUL and INSPIRING and I can’t wait to dig in!

This little video was actually super helpful! You should’ve done one a long time ago, even if it wasn’t professionally produced. But it makes a GREAT promo vid. Congrats on the book and I plan on getting mine soon!

I just finished reading the entire book. I LOVE IT! Pictures are gorgeous, love that its spiral bound. My favorite part and what I really appreciate is the easy straight forward instructions with the great step by step pictures to go with it. I pre-ordered mine in May so I got mine already. :-) I LOVE it! Seriously, it is super cute and I LOVE the spiral aspect so it actually stays open. Everything is very understandable and the ideas are just so cute. I showed my Mom (who only knows a little about cake pops because of me) and she was super impressed! I am so happy I got it and I can’t wait to try some ideas!
My only complaint was with Amazon not the book. haha Since I pre-ordered it in May, they tried to charge my card on 9/1 and it expired on 8/31. LOL! I never thought it would take that long for them to charge it, but after I updated the expiration date, I got my book right away!

I have been making cakepops for almost a year now. I was so excited to receive my book yesterday! It is as awesome as the cakepops themselves. You did such a great job and gave us so many new ideas. IT CAME IT CAME IT CAME!!!! I’M SO EXCITED!!! When I got back to work today (off yesterday) there was a box under my desk with my name on it…and…it was the Cake Pops book! I’m SO excited I can hardly wait until lunch time to look at it!!! (I did take a sneak peek and flipped through it!) It looks GREAT! I am so excited for you…you’re living your dream! I can’t wait ’til that day comes for me! I can’t wait to show off this book to all of my friends! :D

I ordered it from Amazon on Tuesday- got it on Thursday! Its incredible!!! I brought it to work to show my cube-mate today and he wants one too. Its beautiful and so detailed and inspiring. Ive been following your blog and was eager to see what youve been making but not posting—Im excited about all of it. Love the spiral and the fact that the book is so easy to use in the kitchen. I adore cakepops, mostly for the crafty factor and I adore seemingly endless creativity…. I HOPE there will be a book signing here in Atlanta, I will be front and center..Congrats on the book Angie!!

I just came across your blog a few days ago & LOVED IT!! THEN I picked up a small Betty Crocker cookbook & the grocery checkout with adorable punkin’ pops on the cover, opened it & there you were!! THEN I discovered your new book & have now ordered it…cannot wait….really! I’m having an owl party on the 10th for my owl-lovin’ almost 7-year-old & don’t know if I’ll get the cookbook in time to make the ADORABLE owl pops. I got your book on September 1st which also happened to be my husband’s birhtday. He assumed the box in the mail was for him. I KNEW what it was. AWWWWW, I was SO happy. He was vicariously happy, as he knows he will reap the benefits. I LOVED it. IT is SO you, and full of great ideas.
I loved seeing the bride and groom pops. I made hundreds of similar ones over a year ago for my nieces wedding. Now I have to make them again in October for my own son.
