It’s shipping.

IMG_2530

The book is now shipping. I’m nervous. And excited. And nervous. I really hope you guys like it.

That is if you decide to pick one up and flip through it. Or buy it. That would be cool, too.

To help promote it, my publisher asked me to do a little video. A video with motion and sound. Scary stuff.

I think they wanted a quick author bio type thing, but they said I could do what I wanted.

So I decided to take the opportunity to make a little cake pop how-to for you guys… an overview.

Just don’t look at me. K?

IMG_25301

This is Micah. He came out and spent the day with me while I messed up about 4,000 takes. He was cool. And patient.

IMG_2556

I think he may have even had fun.

IMG_2576

For the record, this was much harder than I thought it would be. Looking straight into a camera when you’re the only one talking is tough stuff. This was much different than being on Martha. When I was on the show, I didn’t even see the cameras because I was so nervous and this time I was so nervous because I was staring straight into one.

I think this way is harder.

IMG_2598

Luckily, Cupcake Julie was there to keep me focused. Actually, I was there. This is her kitchen.

IMG_2607

Micah went home with lots of pops…

IMG_2608

… In a pink box. So masculine.

But, I bet his wife appreciated it.

IMG_2612

Okay… Okay. I’ve stalled long enough.

Want to watch the video?

Really?

Ok. Here it is.

Now, I’m going to hide.

Click here to watch the Bakerella Cake Pop Video on Amazon.

Untitled-1

Note: Hand in the air. Side smile. I told you guys.

P.S. Is it weird that I wanted to buy a copy of my own book? Probably, but I’m still super excited. It should arrive tomorrow. Yippee!

And to clarify… my publisher sent me copies. I just wanted the thrill of ordering and receiving it myself. I’m sure I’ll be hitting up the bookstores for some, too!

“AHHHHH,” I screamed when I opened the front door yesterday to find 2 boxes from Amazon! My cake pops book came and I have carried it everywhere with me. I have yet to decide what I will do first!

God give me strength because I might just die from joy!

Oh and it came 2 days before my B-Day!

I work at an all girl, Catholic high school. We recently formed a “Baking Club”. I thought maybe they would have a few girls show up….133 came to the first meeting! I have purchased your book and am going to purchase another for them to give away at their next meeting!
You inspire me to do fun stuff. I have kids in Catholic school and us Catholics love a good bake sale! The girls here have one at least twice a month to raise money for something. Your cake pops will be huge for the Baking Club to “jazz” up their table.
They will tour a local culinary college, a local bakery as well as have guest speakers, bake sales and bake Treats for the Troops.
YOU ROCK!

I received my book a couple weeks ago and it really is remarkable. I am not a reader at all and I have read this book twice already (well, the 2nd time I just skimmed all the tips ‘n tricks and do’s/dont’s). You write like you talk and that makes it easy (and friendly) to follow. AND… its now my three year old’s favorite book. He flips through it page by page, over and over, “reindeer”, “robot”, “chickies, tweet tweet”, etc. Three of my friends have also ran out and bought it since I told them how awesome it was!

Owls are made favorite animal, and random idea, but my sister loves giraffes and we were looking through your book yesterday and she couldn’t find a giraffe. She was wondering if you could make one in your spare time :)
