Mr. Sprinkles, why do you make me so sad?
If you’re not familiar with this brand, these are the sprinkles I used for the pink cupcake pops when I was on the Martha Stewart Show. And as seen here…
I love them. The colors are pretty and their petite size is perfect for my pops. Not to mention, they come in the super cutest container ever!
Just one problem. Right after the show, they changed the formula. Now, Mr. Sprinkles uses no-artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. BUMMER! Yeah, I said bummer. Because now they may be better, but they just aren’t as cute. Going all-natural caused the colors to go from lovely to shall I say a little drab. See…
Okay, okay! I know, I’m the only one that will care about the color change. So, for everyone else, these are great. Anytime you can make a product better, it’s a good thing. Look for them in the ice cream condiment section of your grocery store or you can buy a whole bunch of Rainbow Mr. Sprinkles from Amazon. (These may be the original kind though. The picture doesn’t have the All-Natural Green label.)
And, If you care, I hear Mr. Sprinkles is looking in to ways to make the all-natural formula colors more fun. YAY! But, in the meantime I’m saving my last “regular” bottle of Mr. Sprinkles for a special occasion.
Keep scrolling to see what happens when sprinkles attack and how you can WIN your own set of All-Natural Mr. Sprinkles .
It’s a super sprinkles giveaway!
Mr. Sprinkles sent me some samples for using their product on the Martha Stewart show and I can’t possibly make my way through them all, so I thought I would share them with you. I have three sets of All-Natural Rainbow and Chocolate Sprinkles to give away. Don’t worry I’m keeping some for myself.
Here’s how you can enter:
- Leave a comment. (Easy, huh!)
- Make sure you leave it in a way that I can contact you. (Either link back to your blog or leave your email address.)
- And if you want, let me know if you like your sprinkles good or good (for you).
Three winners will be picked at random using random.org integer generator. (Thanks, Mandy for turning me on to this site during the last giveaway. Sure makes things easier.)
The cutoff is Friday, July 25th at midnight. Winners will be announced sometime Saturday. Thanks for playing.
The giveaway is over. Here are the winners.
Now that I know people who are allergic to certain artifical colors and preservatives, I’d have to say “good for you.”
I would love the ‘good’ sprinkles. You don’t use tons of them so a little bit of preservatives, etc. won’t hurt! Right!
I LOVE Your blog. My daughter and I had so much fun looking at all the “YUMS”. Thank you! Contact me on my blog if I win. http://www.thisthatotherstuff.blogspot.com
Ok this might just be a “duh” answer, but if you’re putting sprinkles on something isn’t it already bad for you? I mean, the difference between “good” and “bad” sprinkles isn’t really going to change the fact that you’re eating dessert! So I say – BRING IT ON! I would love the good stuff on mine!!! :o) (Ok, so I have a sweet tooth!!!)
I have never seen Mr. Sprinkles in all of my 29 years. it is the cutest lil’ compartment though. it doesn’t matter to me if sprinkles are good for you, i don’t think you could eat enough to harm your insides.;)
Where as I think the original sprinkles have more pizzaz, I must say I love the purple color in the au naturel. I’m a bit of a purple freak. But for my kids sake I’d have to say the original colors look funner.
I have to go with good… I don’t need my cupcakes good for me, that’s not the reason to have a cupcake…
I love good sprinkles. I love good quality, and vibrant colors. I can’t get Mr. Sprinkles in my country. I’m sad. I would love to win!
fanfare23@yahoo.com
It’s so sad that natural isnt as bright and cheery as artifical! i would love some anyway!
bradfordnatalie@gmail.com
I like my sprinkles “good for me”. Anything to be a little bit healthier.
Original is so much better.
erskbo@gmail.com
Give me sprinkles!!Sprinkles=fun+happness=good
I can’t even buy Mr. Sprinkles here in Hawaii! I think I need Mr. Sprinkles the most because I can’t drive to the store and buy them, and I don’t think my car would make it too far once it hit the ocean…. Show some Aloha and send Mr. Sprinkles on a vacation to Hawaii. Mahalo nui loa~
I like the “GOOD” sprinkles. They’re prettier :o) Besides, it always tastes better if it’s not good FOR you! JUST LIKE THE MINI CUPCAKES!
Oh I LOVE those sprinkles!! And the bottle is adorable! I’ve never seen those before! And while the bright colors are fun, I think I like the natural ones better :D
When I saw the chocolate ones I realized it´s what we (Dutch) call: hagelslag!
It´s a pity that the colors aren´t as fancy as they were, but they still look good!
You were great on Martha! And I love your blog. I like my sprinkles GOOD please!
(mawmayo@yahoo.com)
I would probably choose the “Good” because you are right, the “Good for you” looks really drab. And (I don’t know what this says about my mothering) but the “Good for you” sprinkles have the same colors as something that came out of my son’s diaper this morning…
Live a little! and when I say a little I mean sprinkle a little color into your life. Its not like we eat the entire bottle of sprinkles in one sitting!
I would love either! That packaging is so adorable. I have always been a clown lover :-)
i’d love the good because too much of a good thing is a GOOD thing :)!
I like my sprinkles GOOD. The color is soooo important!
GOOD of course. I would love to put them on my chocolate cupcakes.
I like my sprinkles GOOD! It’s what we grew up with, so they’re much more nostalgic and fun! They’re like little bursts of colored happiness! =)
Keep up the awesome work Bakerella!
~!*Courtney*!~

Those are some sad looking colors, I really like the bright ones, though the purple in the good for you mix is kinda nice.
Good For You! I haven’t eaten anything with sprinkles in over 20 years, but now that I’ve gotten to be a decent gluten free baker, that may soon change!
I actually like the good for you colors on the sprinkles, but do they taste different?
I actually think the “Good, for you” sprinkles could be really cute. BUT….definitely not as cute as the original!
haha on making sprinkles good for you! That takes some of the fun out of eating them!! As long as they taste yummy I guess it doesn’t matter, healthy and indulgent-that’s for me!
Sounds like a “GOOD” giveaway.
Count me in. mjcesa1@excite.com
Those cupcake pops just wouldn’t be as cute with the good (for you) sprinkles! I’d definitely have to choose the good ones. ;-)
one can never have enough sprinkles so i’d love to win the famous sprinkles from your cupcake pops.
and i choose the good because as a general rule of thumb, when i’m baking sweets, i’m usually looking for the yum and cute factor vs. the good for me factor. :)
lovebabyaustin@yahoo.com
I would probally go with the one that is cheaper , just my honest opinion , but then when you really think about it , the what;s good for you would be best!!!
Love the sprinkles. The ones that are GOOD. Who cares if they are good for you?! Most likely what you are eating (that they are on top of) are not!!
brownell98@msn.com
The Good are pretty but I think the Good for me could grow on me, the colors are kind of pretty. Just not as many or quite as vibrant. So I think it’s Good for me, but only by a hair ;)
I think the Good are much cuter. They get my vote.
Good and good for you alike! As long as they are sprinkles! how fun!!
Definitely good. I mean really, are sprinkles supposed to be good for you???
Ah, a moral dilema. Do we embrace the “all natural” and “natural” solution… or do we demand our brightly colored not-so-good-for-ya alternative??? Tough call. Either way, they are cute. I want some! *jenndcov@hotmail.com*
i love sprinkles!
OMGosh, your [ice cream]bar fight made me laugh! Would love the sprinkles to make cupcake pops for my daughter’s bday party favors!
I think I would choose the good instead of good for you . The good ones are good colors.
I just love your blog and just bought the Hello cupcake! book at your recommendation . Thanks for the inspiration !
nwedlake@shaw.ca
WOW!! See what happens when my computer gets a virus and I miss your blog for a few days … I want the good sprinkles but seeing how I am post 858 I don’t think there is a clowns chance I will win … those new colors are bad! They are sprinkles for gosh sake, who cares if they are natural, it isn’t like I am a sprinkle addict and going through bottles of them daily … JEEZ step away and leave the clown alone!!!
Loved the fight :)
Good for Me Please… Love your Blog… I am making spider cupcakes right now for my little one’s 3rd b-day party tonight!!
http://www.thecrookstoncrew.blogspot.com
I would have to say Good, but then Good for you for the color! How about that…knobbyknee at hotmail dot com.
I would love them! I am in charge of doing my sisters refreshments for her wedding (200+ guests) and I’m making the pops – in exactly the colors you have, pink and brown.. these would go lovely on the top!
scribbleit@msn.com
Definitely good – they say you eat with your eyes first!
i love sprinkles. sometimes i eat sprinkles with caramel for dessert.
delicious
your blog is so cute! :)
i like my sprinkles good~ if i wanted something “good for me” then i wouldn’t be having sprinkles in the first place! :D
Not Mr. Sprinkles!! These were the best and now they are probably ruined.
I’m all for healthy, but we need a little treat now and then too ya know? The new colors maked them look unappetizing……
I vote for GOOD!
Good for you!
loritagirl@hotmail.com
If I’m going to have something so fun it just has to be good because good for you is no fun.
I like the Good ones…thanks so much.
I like the Bright pretty ones, I have lots sweet baking for them to decorate. I would love to have them at my house.
i just love sprinkles, not only do they taste good but they make things look fun to eat, so count me in!
Oh man, it’s too difficult to choose. Can I just say everything would be better if it was covered in sprinkles? Also, think how great fall/thanksgiving/halloween treats will be with the new colours.
Okay I’m totally going good for you, anyway to rationalize something not so good, is good in my book!
I just stumbled onto your blog, and I hope I’m not too late for the giveaway! I’m all about the plain good sprinkles!
My blog is linked on my profile.
I love your Mr. Sprinkles battle! Very funny. Thanks for a chance to win some.
Here is the dilemma. . . cute cupcakes that have a smidgen of coloring sprinkles or having not as bad for you (again it is sugar slathered pastries)sprinkles that only look like they should be on fall cupcakes or Halloween pastries. Hummm I guess I would have to choose COLORFUL! They are on cupcakes by the teaspoon full not the hand full. If you ate them and had a little cake on the side there could be a problem.
BTW I just found you blog and I must say that I really love it!
brilliantblossomz.blogspot.com
Such a fun post! Love the cupcake pops!
dbstout[at]juno[dot]com
ooo, i never buy sprinkles so i would really love this. and i rather have the sprinkles that are good, since i don’t eat them that often
I personally like the unnatural sprinkles. The colors for the all natural, good for you, are so ugly. They have to vibrance, or wow to them. Infact they are kind of drab. And for something so little and used sparingly the good for you isn’t even to really make a difference!!!
Michelle
slaterfamily_7@yahoo.com
I’ve never seen these…totally fun! I’m inclined to say good for you, but really, if you’re eating sweets, what’s the difference?
I definitely would like some awesome sprinkles!! And also, sprinkles should be GOOD, not good for you. That’s why they’re sprinkles! That’s kind of the whole point!!!
I use sprinkles on everything. They are so fun.
It’s okay for some companies to go green….but not this one! Give me death or give me shiny GOOD sprinkles!
I’m a new fan and am so glad one of my friends sent me your blog address. Either one will work for me. Thanks! :)
I love it:) What a cute give-away. I would like the good-for-you kind. While the color palette is more pastel-ish and the green is just right in the good-ones, I think I’d feel better about myself in the long run. plus my kids are super sensitive to dye.
FUN!!
I’ll have to pick good for you! I have a child with a food allergy and we tend to stay away from all the preservatives, dye and so on!!
Sprinkles —?? I like them GOOD. Who would’ve ever thought they wouldn’t be good for you in the first place? Something so colorful?
I love good for me things so I will go with that. You are right though the colors are cuter in the “good” bottle:)
My kids love your site and got so excited when they saw the sprinkles. We of course would love the non good for you sprinkles. Robin Collins @gcrc21@comcast.net
By the way it is my Birthday!!!
I posted a comment, but then I couldn’t find it.
I think the new “all natural” sprinkles are fun! I hope i win!
I’ve never seen these kind of sprinkles! Might have something to do with the fact that I live in small town ND.
As far as GOOD FOR YOU verses GOOD AS IN YUMMY…I think I’d go for the GOOD AS IN YUMMY because that’s what sweets are all about…YUMMY.
I want good for me. Dyes are so bad for us and the environment. I have been looking for dye free sprinkles, I hope I win!!
I want it all! Good and good for you. Very cool that they have the right idea, too bad it’s not so cute!
i like GOOD sprinkles! with the pretty colors :)
Love, Love, LOVE IT!!! I like the smackdown approach, showing us the “good for you” winning. Cracking up right now!
And since my children and I are Sprinkles FANATICS I thought I should enter your clever contest.
Thanks for the entertainment as I sit in my freezing cold office waiting for Friday to end! :) And though I am a fan of natural foods, desserts are a guilty pleasure and would not have anything but the ‘best’ junk on it!
Just found your blog! what fun – I’d like the good sprinkles if I should by any chance win!?!?!
http://www.createwithjulia.blogspot.com
These are so fun! I’d love to win!
dananddanell@blogspot.com
I love the wonderful and now good for you sprinkles..the container is completely adorable as well.
justalittlescribble.blogspot.com
zagorianosg@yahoo.com
OoooO Sprinkles…. yummy!
no preference really, they will go on various versions of fatty baked or frozen goodness…
I guess the good for you is kind of a oxymoron though.
hmm… too much thinking… i want sprinkles!!!!
eddie@ serranoloans@gmail.com
I’ve never seen Mr. Sprinkles!
Hmm.. he is pretty darn cute and I would love to take him home!
Dolores
sexxygirl66@aol.com
I have used both and love both very much. I do enjoy the brighter colors better.
PLEASE COUNT ME IN ON THIS AWESOME GIVEAWAY :)
Oh, those little cupcakes with the sprinkles are so cute! I think I prefer the brighter ones that aren’t so good for you, because the colors are wonderful!
momofthree@blueglow.net
Since the sprinkles are going on something that’s not good for you anyways, why care about the 15 extra sprinkles…I’d go for good color–kendyldaly@hotmail.com
Unless the sprinkles that are bad for you are adding to global warming then those are the ones I would go for! :)
Definitely GOOD!! danasorensen@hotmail.com
I would choose good.
Elisa
mssparkle88@yahoo.com
If I’m going to eat something sweet I matter as well go for it all, so I’m going for the original Mr. Sprinkles but when it come to my children I’d probably going for the all natural.
Really I just want that really cute little bottle, good or bad!
Thanks for hosting another contest!
Ingrid
I would looooooooove sprinkles :)
aaw0068@unt.edu
Love your blog. So many fun ideas. I would choose the fun bright colors probably!
kashton@cableone.net
I would choose the GOOD. I mean, after eating the dessert, does it really matter if the sprinkles are good for you? Thanks, Jennifer
I love that sprinkle container! How fun it would be to save it. My daughter would love it b/c we are currently in a “painting our face like a clown each day” phase. I love the brightly colored ones, but would feel so lucky to get either one. Keeping my fingers crossed…..Jen Muir

Sprinkles!
I don’t have a sprinkles preference–I would just love some!
Hey Bakerella,
I love your blog. This is the first and only blog that I follow (for the last 2 months). I have read every month that you have posted, what great ideas and yummy treats. I can’t wait to make your cupcake pops, and would love some good tasting and looking sprinkles. They would be just in time for one of my 4 daughters birthday. Thanks for everything. -Michelle
