I took my granddaughter to the zoo for the first time. She is 2 1/2 and is now getting to know what all animals are by site and what sounds they make. It was the best…she was going through and saying at each one…lions say…rrrrroooaarrr!! and doing her best roar or whatever language the animal we were looking at the time does. It was the best and of course we then had to eat ice cream afterwards since it was such a warm day! I love spending time with her.

I don’t know why my comment isn’t posting. I put the funnest thing I’ve done this summer was taking my granddaughter Zoey to the zoo. She’s 2 1/2 and really recognizing animals by sight and knowing what sounds/words they say. For instance when looking at the lions she would say and he says RRRROOOAAARRR! in her best lion roar sound and this went on throughout the entire zoo with any animal sound she knew. It was wonderful. Then of course after the zoo we had to go for ice cream. She loves it even though everytime she takes a bit she shivers and says its too cold…brrr. HAHA Anything I do with her is wonderful.
