My husband and I went on a cruise with my baby sisters family. She has twin 3 year old grandsons and it was the coolest thing I’ve ever done! Seeing “the big boat” through their eyes was the funniest experience I’ve ever had! It’s got me praying for my own grand kids now!

My parents came up from new york city and took me, hubby, and my three kids to Disneyland. But since they was not around for their birthdays, we told our 3 yr old we are taking him to there to see mickey mouse for his birthday and have a cake too. We bought some small cup cake but he was happy with that and went to see mickey at his house. When he saw him (waited for 30 min on the line to see him and take a picture) we came up to him. He was on a small stage and without even knowing my 3 yr old grabbed him and give him a big hug and almost fell down in the process. Lucky mickey saved him from the fall but my little man was star struck! Awesome!!!

Maybe not the most exciting thing, but as a stay at home mom of three, the most appreciated. My son is attending a day camp about an hour from our home. I had three days last week without my younger two kids, so those were three days totally to myself. I would drop the son off in the early am, do some window shopping or running errands, and best of all, I sat in the peace of the library for 4 hours one day!

A family of swans nested outside our window and each day we would watch the proud parents shepherd their 8 young cygnets out into the water. We built magnificent sand castles, played in water, visited a lighthouse, made s’mores in the evening. A week of special memories with our 3 precious grandchildren. (They live far away so times like this are treasures.)
