A few weeks ago, my friends over at Cake Art gave me a sample pack of some paper pans in a plethora of shapes and sizes. They thought I might like them. But, I don’t. I love them. You can bake and then turn right around and take your goodies to someone special. Either that or display them at home and turn your kitchen into a coffee shop which could be fun, too.
These tiny ones make me happy. The size. The color. The slightly scalloped edge. Happy.
And so do these tee-niny ones. Eeeeek!
They have cylinder-shaped baking molds and regular muffin cup styles, too. Both of these are sturdy enough that you don’t need a muffin tray to bake them in. Just arrange them on a baking sheet and go.
And look at these cuties. They have lids. Perfect to bake and take.
Since I had all these pans, I had to put something in them.
I went for blueberries and bananas…
… and made some yummy muffins.

Add a little butter while they’re still warm and your tummy will say thank you.
Then tear right in.
I had enough batter to try them out in all of the smaller size pans for fun. The large round paper cake and loaf pans would have to wait for another day.
But you don’t. Cake Art was sweet and gave me a second sample pack. So who wants it? Anyone?

Wow. I really didn’t expect so many people to want to win paper pans. Super surprised. And now I wish I had scored more sample packs from Cake Art. Maybe I’ll get more the next time I make a trip. My favorite muffin is a Sour Cream Mix-In Muffin. I got the recipe off of Food Network. It is a rich sour cream muffin that you can turn into whatever you want; blueberry, cinnamon-sugar, mini chocolate chips, whatever your heart and tummy desire! So good!

OMG thoes are super super cute and my favorite muffin has GOT to be some I made this past winter when I was trying to figure out how to use some left over pumpkin and I totally fell in love these, they are pumpkin ginger nut muffins. OMG to die for. instead of dry ginger I used crystalized ginger and cut them into tiny chunks so it was a mouth full of flavor.
I am a little bit in love with the new whole grain blueberry muffins and Tim Hortons. Ok a lot in love.

Too hard to choose. Banana, chocolate chip, blueberry, lemon poppy seed, ….they are all good! I love muffins because they are a perfectly acceptable way to eat cake for breakfast.

My favorite muffin is a tie between my Aunt Barb’s banana muffins, and those big heart-attack-inducing double chocolate death muffins you get at the superstore. Aunt Barb’s are much healthier – and the recipe is fun to play with. You can add different fruits or nuts (or chocolate chips!) depending on your cravings, and they’re super easy to make, but when I’m really craving chocolate, nothing does it like a huge double-chocolate muffin!
My favorite all time muffins…I’d have to say good ol’ corn muffins with some kernels of corn in them…not too sweet, split open and browned to perfection on a hot griddle. I love the idea of these paper forms sitting on a baking sheet…no muffin pan needed, no muffins lost to a sticking pan…and no pans to wash…this could be a great thing for my clients who want to fit cooking more back into their lives but love a little convenience too!

I don’t know that I ever met a muffin I didn’t like, but my favorites are French breakfast puffs. They are a basic muffin with a touch of nutmeg then while still warm they are dipped in melted butter & rolled in cinnamon & sugar. Yummy!
I have been seeing these all over but have never tried paper cake pans. I have been a little sceptical but I would LOVE to try them! I am now going to have to try that muffin recipe — yum!
