  1. Where did u get the candy to decorate the little chicks from. THey look awesome

  2. Paramount crystals work well for thinning out the candy melts. I use them with wilton melts just fine. I like them better than crisco. You can get them at specialty bake supply shops or online.

  3. I was on the hunt for candy melts that weren’t processed in a facility as peanuts like the wilson candy melts that are everywhere. I didn’t like the wilson candy melts because they melt weird and are super thick and make it so the cake pops are bumpy.

I finally found a cake shop that sold candy melts that were peanut safe for my family and they melted amazingly smooth and thin! They also taste a million times better.

If you do have the yucky (sorry ;)) wilson ones you can thin it out with some melted crisco (gag).

    Good luck! :)

  4. your baby chicks are so perfectly round! i love them! how do you get the candy melt coating so smooth?
