Pop Star: Caroline in Michigan
First of all I NEED to thank YOU for the inspiration! I’m so,so glad I came across your cupcake pops a while back. My son’s kindergarten celebrated thanksgiving, so I made turkeys. …I always give you the credit, and tell them to check out bakerella.com!

November 20, 2010 07:33 PMI would love to know how anyone finds heart sprinkles in November?? I had to buy stars and trim them to make them not so pointy, I also couldnt find candy coated chips anywhere, i am using butterscotch chips (incase any kids have peanut allergies, otherwise i would use peanut butter chips)
November 20, 2010 07:35 PMThanks I found candy corn at Kroger. They have their own Kroger brand regular colored candy corn but I was so happy! I made some for my husband who’s deployed and I can’t wait for him to get them next week! You are right, I’m not choosy at all. I improvised and just used red candy melts and painted in the wattle in a heart shape and found some chocolate covered peanuts/raisins for the heads.
November 21, 2010 10:01 AMThese are soooo cute! what did you use for the eyes?
November 23, 2010 05:07 PMwhat did you use for the faces to stick everything onto? …and the eyes and nose?
November 23, 2010 11:00 PMLinh I used the Americolor gourmet writer and made black dots. Allision I used Wilton sprinkles Rainbow chip crunch and picked out the orange ones for the nose.
November 27, 2010 07:25 AMI found the eyes at Bakers Delight here in MI. They come on a paper like those candy dots. It’s MUCH easier than coloring in with the marker. I made apples 1st w/ eyes, the hard way. To attach I just use melted chocolate , a toothpick and a tweezer.
My woodland pops are on Flickr, if you want to take a peek
