  1. I think you are genius for coming up with this. Tried to view your step by step photos but it didn’t work for me.

  2. Eeeeee! Thank you so much for showcasing my pops, Bakerella. So much love to you.

These were not made in a “cake pop machine” Ptooie on those things! They don’t make real cakepops.

I just made them the long, tedious way. Bake a white cake, divide into 5 different bowls, and blend each bowl of crumbs with different colored frosting. Wrap in seran wrap and chill each color until firm, then roll them out, stack, and pinch off pieces to roll into pops. Easy peasy. :)

    Thanks for the love, guys.

  3. how did u make those layers? because i would want to make them!

  4. Thanks, Bernadette – great method and I’m gonna give it a try!

  5. I made these, I mede each color in cupcake pans. Do not mix the colors together. Seperate them in cupcake pans. after baked crumble the cakes seperately added the icing. and then take a little from each bowl to make the ball. They were a big hit an the kids went nuts.

  6. I love cake pops so much! Hey,live in Missouri to u’r so awesome. Where is it located.

  7. I’m pretty sure that these are made in a cake pop machine using the same method as for rainbow cupcakes. Separate a white cake mix into different bowls and color each differently. Layer the batter into the pan and voila!! This is how they bake up…. Hope this helps :). You can not use the traditional cake pop method with these, I don’t believe. I guess its possible but not as precise and perfect. Enjoy !

  8. my guess is white cake (baked) and crumble into different bowls. divide white frosting into bowls and add food coloring to each…mix and add layers in your cupped hand (long way) or add layers to a mold pan and shape

  9. Great execution. I tried this, as you described…. The rainbow cake came out great. But when I crumbled the cake, the colors just blended together….while yours looks FAB with the distinct layers of colors! Please tell us….after your cake is baked, how do you add frosting and then shape into rainbow balls?

  10. Guys, I think she used white cake and then when making the balls, used colored frosting. :) Or just colored cakes and used white. :)

  11. These are awesome! Looks like they were done in a “cake pop” pan as opposed to the mix and form method. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing!

  12. Omg! I made Rainbow cupcakes but to make them into cake balls blows my mind.

  13. you use white cake mix and separate the food colored mix in different small bowls, making it thick enough that it wont mix while sitting/baking…

  14. Wow these are amazing! Please please please tell me how you got the different cake colors to layer each other without being mixed. Thank you!

  15. Fabulous and such bright colors. Do tell how you did this. Great idea!

  16. I would also like to know how you did this! So original and unique … LOVE them!!

  17. I would love to know how to make these!

  18. Neat idea! At first glance, I thought it was colored candy melts, then looked closer and see it’s cake! Would also like to know how you did this!!

  19. that is IMPRESSIVE!!! I’ve been wanting to try rainbow cake for the longest time, and the fact that you made it into a CAKE POP is utterly amazing to me! Great work!!!!
