Pop Star: Noni in New Jersey

“Within the past couple of years I have been really inspired by your site and other baking blogs, and I’ve learned SO much! Thanks for your wonderful creations (and great photography)! I made these Kirby cake pops (Kirby is a Nintendo character) for my friends who love video games. They were red velvet cake inside. Kirby’s round shape was perfect for this treat.” – Noni

These are SO cute! Great job! What did you make the eyes with? And the blush….is that red candy melts brushed on? Please share your secrets, fellow Pop Star.

Thank you! I just realized these were posted.
The red blush is glitter gel, and the eyes are made from a black food-coloring pen, blue icing, and white candy melts.

These are great!!! My son has been watching me bake for all sorts of occasions. Recently, he has requested a Kirby cake for his 7th birthday. The problem is, he rarely eats a whole piece! These would be an awesome surprise…can you forward me the details?
