“I have really enjoyed your website and book and have been able to make a little money as a stay at home mom, making cake pops. Thank you for that gift of inspiration. It has been a great creative outlet for me and my kids love helping! These are my superhero baskets that I did for my son’s 6th birthday (Batman, Spiderman, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).” – Rebekah

  6. I am just looking at this site for the first time and all of the ideas are AMAZING! I, too, am a stay at home mom and would love to try to make some cake pops for my son’s upcoming AVENGERS party. Do you have a recipe that you have found works best? What about supplies? THANKS!

  7. I am doing a super hero party for my son’s birthday and since I have been unable to find a cake that suits the theme I have decided to make cake pops. I am very excited but haven’t made them before. I am an artist, so I’m good with drawing, but I am a little puzzled on how you made batman (above). I want to do Batman and Robin and Spiderman. Can you give me some tips on how you acheived the one’s above?

  8. Thanks everyone :) they were a lot of fun to make. for the ninja turtles, make the cake ball the shape of a pear so that the bottom of the pear is kinda the turtle’s cheeks. Then dip in green. I then piped on the masks, making a circle all the way around with the different colors (blue, orange, purple, red). I piped a heart shape of each color onto parchment paper (to be the tie for the mask) and then attached it with melted candy coating . I used white confetti sprinkles for the eyes and then used a toothpick to draw the mouth with white candy coating. the mouth is kind of the shape of a nike swoosh. does that help?
