Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

My mama’s Coca-Cola Cake! She put more coca-cola in it than the recipe called for and then she put mocha frosting on it! It was DIVINE I tell you! Moist and sweet…mmmmm!

It is almost impossible to choose a favorite cake, but my top two are the classic chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and red velvet with cream cheese frosting (that’s a must!).
I absolutely love angel food cake with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Gingerbread with strawberries and ice cream is a close second. *crossing my fingers since I’ve been wanting a new purse and still carry a diaper bag – would love to combine the two!* :)
I LOVE Cheesecake! Key Lime to be exact. But really, any cheesecake will do. I did have a lovely piece of red velvet cake this weekend that had a layer of cheesecake on top, and covered with cream cheese icing….DELISH!

Red Velvet of course! My birthday is the day before Halloween and my mom would make me an orange velvet cake each year! One year she made a 3-D pumpkin shape orange velvet and another year she made me a black and orange checkerboard velvet cake! My brother was born on St. Patrick’s Day, so he got a shamrock green velvet cake, and a sister born the day before Valentines had a heart shaped red velvet cake! My runner up would have to be yellow cake with chocolate frosting! Yum!

My favorite cake would be a very moist white cake, brushed with coconut milk, filled with a layer of bavarian cream and then frosted with a whipped topping/buttercream combination and covered in toasted coconut. MMMM!
