Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

Favorite cake: frozen birthday cake. It’s a family tradition. We have huge cakes on birthdays. A few slices are carefully wrapped and stashed away in the freezer. Weeks or months later, the frozen cake resurfaces and it’s an instant surprise party. Bonus points for eating frozen birthday cake straight from the wrapper without a fork.
Hasbeen and always will be white cake with buttercream frosting. My son told me the other day that the cake had too much frosting – I had to shake my head, because, dear, in my opinon, frosting is a GOOD. THING. Would love to tote this cute purse around town with baby in arm.

I love my mother’s Rave Review Coconut Cake! It is an old-fashioned three layer cake made with black walnuts, toasted coconut and cream cheese icing. My three sisters and I request this cake for birthdays, holidays and every ordinary day in between. When one of us visits our dear mother, we call the other sisters and taunt, ” I’m eating coconut cake!” We have been known to pack up the remaining cake and transport it four hours just so we (the sisters) can all share a bite of bliss.

A tiramisu torte is my favorite! It may not be traditional cake, but when made right it has a perfect amount of sweetness and flavor, as well as texture. The marscapone cheese adds a slight kick, and, to me, the coffee flavor sometimes makes it taste like pancakes with syrup! Delicious!
