Stuffs

IMG_6193

Earlier this year I posted a cute candy button display that my friend Julie made following a tutorial on a website called Bake it Pretty. And even though I had heard of and seen their site, I had not really looked around it all that much… until recently.

**Warning… enter their site at your own risk or else you might just leave it with a whole bunch of stuff you didn’t know you had to have…

IMG_6274

… like these superty-duperty cute baking cups.

They sell lots of fun designs you probably won’t find in your local craft or grocery store…

IMG_6277

… unless you can read this.

IMG_6278

or know where to find these.

IMG_6253

If you visit them, you might be tempted by shiny things.

IMG_6207

Or these. I was forced to buy them in several colors…

IMG_6255

… and sizes.

The website made me do it. I promise. I mean if I just bought one color, which one?

Red? Of course, but what about black? How often do you come across black gingham print baking cups? Or orange? Or blue?

You know… I didn’t even need any more baking cups. Like for the next couple of years … I’m good.

IMG_6214

But, then there’s these. I mean how cute can you get?

It’s funny – right before I found them I was wanting to make some popcorn bucket cupcakes, but figured I would have to make my own wrappers because I knew I would never find any with stripes. So instead I made these flat brownie popcorn bags. Then, right after making them, voila – perfect little cups.

And now, I can’t bring myself to even bake in them. They’re so cute I don’t want to be without them. I just want to look at them. Is that weird?

Don’t answer that.

IMG_6280

And the cute little poem doesn’t hurt either.

IMG_6235

More baking cups. These, like the striped ones stand up on their own. You can place them right on a baking sheet and go.

However, I haven’t used these yet either. I have a problem.

IMG_6263

I worked my way through all the sections of the site and couldn’t leave without having these tapes and twine in my life.

IMG_6238

And look at these cute little twist ties in pink, purple and tiny hearts.

Adorable.

But they don’t hold a candle to these…

IMG_6240

Dying over here. Plus, they’re kinda perfect for packaging cake pops.

IMG_6224

You can even make your drinks look cute. Love these straws.

If you want to see them in action, check out how good they look with Tartelette’s ice cream sandwiches. Not that her pictures aren’t already perfection.

IMG_6286

And look, a button mold.

I had to have one of these, too. You know – just in case I ever want to make my own candy button display like this one.

IMG_6288

P.S. – I may or may not have also purchased these not exactly kid friendly candies. But, if I did – the website made me do that, too.

Want to pick out your own stuff?

Want me to foot the bill?

Okay, you talked me into it.

  1. I cant stop myself from buying anything for the kitchen, gadgets, appliances, pots and pans. I love new bakeware.

    Shoes, cant forgot the shoes

  2. Jewellery making supplies, especially good buys on good quality items. Irresistable!

  3. I love your site. Your ideas are just beyond cute. This is not cake or cupcake related (although I do seem to like everything that is cupcake related) but I recently discovered that you can get a huge bag of popcorn and a drink at the snack counter at Target for $1.50 and now I cannot stop myself from buying it. I probably go to Target once a week and now it’s also turned into a terrible snack habit. I wish I didn’t know about it!

  4. My shoe fetish has transferred to baking supplies!

  5. Like you, I also have an addiction to cute cupcake liners. I have ordered before from bake it pretty, and my stash is down to about 5 different cupcake cups that I can’t make myself use. Why must I hold on to them? I have no clue….guess I just haven’t had the right occasion yet!

  6. Oh,i love love love Bake it Pretty.I need to go check if they ship it internationally so i can get my hands in some of this prettyness.

Well,as for what i can’t stop buying (besides shoes and others things women love) i guess that stationary. You know, the pretty stuff with pretty colors and hearts, bows, stripes and all the most adorable things.Bake it pretty is almost like stationary for kitchen, how can one not love such a thing????

    <333

  7. I love all the packaging materials from “Bake it Pretty” and the sprinkles – I love all shapes and colors of sprinkles. I really love the vintage look to some of the items – this is one of my new favorite websites ever since you posted the info about the button mold!!!!!

  8. What stuff you can’t stop yourself from buying .. hmmm, it’s gotta be cooking magazines!

  9. I Love anything having to do with cupcakes, wrappers, sprinkles..I Love it all!!

  10. I can’t stop myself from buying colorful fabric scraps and interesting paper. I always want to be ready for my next craft project.

  11. For me, it’s lovely scrapbooking paper. But I could easily go crazy with cute baking cups, now that I’ve seen these! They’re already falling out of my pantry when I open it.

  12. I’m not even going to look at her sight until I win!!!

  13. I am ridiculous when it comes to make-up or nail polish! I just can’t resist all the fun new colors, and painting my nails makes me smile inside…cupcakes, however make me smile on the outside! :-)

  14. I am addicted to anything related to baking.
Anytime I come across any store related to cooking/baking I get sucked right in. Since I don’t live in the States anything cute that I run across I usually end up buying. It’s very rare to find anything “cute” when it comes to baking in Japan, since most birthday cakes here are just simply decorated with strawberries and chocolate writing…
Lately I’ve been making lots of cakes with cute sprinkles and small toys. Although you can’t eat the toys, they look so cute on the cake!

  15. These are amazing. If i didn’t already feel like baking all the time, these would make me.

  16. Earrings! I have so many already but I’m constantly adding more to my collection :) And for a poor college student, they’re a less expensive pick-me-up when I’m shopping.

  17. Oh Bakella – you just had to give me another website to spend all my $! Seriously, how can I resist this site? Everything is so cute! The polka dot cupcake liners…and the bakery tags…and all those cutters – arrggh! I can see my kitchen now…cupcakes and cake pops galore!!

    Thanks Bakerella!

  18. I would love to have some of those hard candy molds! I have always wanted to make homemade suckers.

  19. I love cookie cutters! I am always buying them, and waiting for the perfect occasion to use them!!

  20. I can’t stop buying cookbooks. I am addicted to cookbooks. Can one ever have too many? I think not. Asian, Indian, Bread, Italian, Dessert…… LOVE cookbooks :)

  21. STATIONARY! I can’t help it! i love anything that comes in pretty colors, markers, staplers, notebooks, folders. It drives me nuts when I go in a store. Or different printed papers, that I never know what to do with and instead cover my coffee table with, or use as wallpaper. That and nailpolish.

but stationary def wins it by far. I get so much joy out of buying a pen that just writes nicely!

  22. Because it’s spring I am haunting the garden centers right now bringing home just the right plants for my garden.

  23. Right now, I can’t stop myself from buying pretty scarves. I want to decorate myself, I guess.

  24. Oh my ! So cute ! I want all of the stuff in this website… I have to put my credit card away for a while :-) Thank you for sharing. I love your warning it is so real ! :-)

  25. I’m a cookbook buyer.

And this cakewich mold from their site cracks me up!
    http://www.bakeitpretty.com/item_1429/Cakewich–Silicone-Baking-Mold.htm

  26. Ribbon. Lots and lots of ribbon.

  27. I didn’t see the “I love chocolate” twist ties when I looked at her site last, they’re wonderful! I covet her cupcake liners, yes, and she has so very many wonderful things, but I really like her baking cups. They stand up on their own, come in great shapes (everything from loaves to a pretty star) and are quite convenient for people in tiny apartments with no storage – I simply don’t have room for a variety of metal mini-pans.

  28. I cant stop myself from buying ribbon to wrap up my cake pops in. I went to the store just the other day and all the ribbon was HALF OFF! ….I walked out with 12 new designs! :-]

  29. I’m love to shop for cupcake liners. They just make everything so much fun. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
    :)

  30. Ever since entering cupcake pop world, I can’t stop buying fun sprinkles. :)

  31. I cannot be stopped when it comes to purchasing Hobo wallets. I want them all in every style and every color!!!!!!!

And those cupcake wrappers are DIVINE!!!

  32. I can’t stop buying ingredients for new recipes and running shoes.

  33. I keep buying cupcake liners. Whenever some go in sale I have to get them (I got some cute pink and green ones post-Easter). I need to find some place to store them.

  34. I love to buy sprinkles!

  35. fun little baking things!!! I can not go to this website!!!!

  36. I can’t stop buying crafts – of any sort. I walk in one direction, see something, walk in another direction and can’t stop. It’s equally worse with the bookstore. We could be dead broke and I’ll somehow find the time and/or money to spend time and/or money in both – lol!

I didn’t need a new site to browse – – going to forego going there until the contest is over – I may buy everything before getting a chance to win!

  37. Oh my goodness! All of that stuff is awesome! Honestly, I have an addiction to buying books. I love them, especially cookbooks and recipe books. I also have a thing for music. Seriously, pandora could have been in my wedding if a dress would have fit. haha! Love your site! Just made some of my very first cake pops actually (I gave credit to you for the idea/recipe of course!) I’m in dental school so me and my friend Destiny made “tooth” pops. I’m contemplating making half of them tooth brushes next time.

  38. Those are all so adorable!!! I can’t stop myself from buying ANYTHING craft related materials, I’m such a sucker for knitting, cake decorating, jewlery making, just about anything! I also can’t stop myself from buying dark chocolate :]

  39. Cute, Cute, Cute!!! I love them!! :)

  40. I’m a kid in a candy store over this stuff!! I have bought paper cups that I’m sure I’ll never heat past room temperature. LOL
It’s just for the fun of owning adorably gorgeous wrappers.

  41. Notebooks…I use them and my kids plow through them with their art work. All of these baking supplies make me want to get creative!

  42. I can’t stop myself from buying scrapbook/stamp stuff! Anything craft related really. I need to stay away from Michael’s!

  43. I love Bake it Pretty! You bought some great things, but I looooove the popcorn cuppie cups!! Thanks for the giveaway :)

  44. I will definitely be checking out this site!
I buy too much of just about everything, but especially yarn and beads.

  45. I love to buy butter and sugar…plain sugar, superfine sugar, brown sugar, organic sugar, colored-sprinkle-type-sugar….I also love to buy fun baking pans, clothes and shoes.

I have searched high and low on the internet for paper straws and cannot believe you found them for me. I’m off to order them in a jiffy!

  46. I love the woodland creature items! The owl candy molds and vintage mushroom and deer cupcake toppers rock my socks!

  47. I don’t have much control when it comes to baking supplies, especially cupcake cups and edible decorations. Thanks, Bakerella!

  48. The “kala:s får.m” cups are from Sweden :)

  49. Pencils – Black warriors, to be exact. And Bic Mark It Ultra Fine Point pens. Cannot explain why, but I love writing with those particular pencils and pens.

  50. Oh I could not live without the twine! Love the colors! and then there are all of the cupcake papers…

  51. Ceramic bowls – especially ones I find at craft shows.

  52. Love to buy cupcake wrappers!!!! This is all so cute!

  53. Ahhwww….popcorn cups are to die for!!
I can’t stop myself from buying stuff from disney, even though i’m far in my 20’s…. Dvd’s, books, sweets, pens, jewellery making kit, towels, rubbish, just anything….
    boyfriend thinks i’m crazy.
wait till he sees my new pj’s haha.

  54. Honestly, right now I can’t keep myself from buying anything yarn/wool related! I found some absolutely adorable sushi stitch markers — who really needs that?

    Great giveaway! Thanks!

  55. What a fun giveaway- can’t wait to check out that website!!

As for your question, I can’t stop buying books and craft supplies… it’s terribly addicting!!

  56. Sugar, sanding sugar, colored sugar, the coarser chunky sugar, i like things that sparkle, and those definitely help make my cupcakes sparkly. Sprinkles too, any size, shape or color,

  57. I must buy jackets, coats, cradigans. I can’t have enough.

  58. Being 14, it’s hard to impulse buy. But let me loose in a cake decorating store – I can’t stop myself from buying cute cookie cutters and cupcake patty pans. Books have a huge want-factor for me too!

  59. I just fell head over heels for that website! Oh my goodness, sooo darling!

I just can’t stop buying candles. We have twenty million bajillion. More than we could ever burn. In every. scent. known. to. man. I blame Yankee Candle for coming out with new ones all the time!

  60. I am a craftaholic…. i cannot leave Joann’s without buying something, anything but if i come home with anymore fabric i think my bf might make me move out… i hid it in the car until i can get it in without him finding out.

  61. All stuffs are realIy cute, I love blue-silver and red&white stripes baking cups. In Czech Republic I can only buy white and sometimes ugly colored baking cups.
I can´t stop buying sunglasses, ice-cream, magazines about food and kitchen gadgets…

  62. The button mold is so cute. My husband’s pet name for me is button – how appropriate. I just cannot stop buying cupcake decorating items, even if I don’t plan on using them anytime soon I stock up because I live in a small town where we don’t have a baking store and always end up not finding what I need when I am trying to do something special.

Also, I have an old navy flip flop buying problem – I seriously need an intervention, I have a whole plastic tub full of them, but at least they are cheap!

  63. I cannot (and I do mean cannot) stop buying books. I have about 450 shelved in my dining room. I am constantly looking through the shelves of local used bookstores to add to my collection. I would say for ever 2 books I read, I buy 7 new ones. I just cannot get enough of reading and books, I’m constantly reading about the winners of book prizes and looking up new releases. I have a degree in creative writing so a good book is near and dear to me.

  64. I cannot stop myself from buying fabric! All kinds of fabric and vintage sheets to use as fabric, or pillowcases, and tablecloths to cut up and make something new and fantastic!

  65. clothes for my kids clothes for my kids clothes for my kids clothes for my kids clothes for my kids clothes for my kids… just.cannot.stop.myself!

  72. How adorable! I love their retro designs. My downfall would definitely have to be baking stuff, I think I spend more time at Michael’s than anything else!

  73. I am also a nut for baking cups. I purchased the animal print cups off the site.

  74. It would have to be the cupcake liners, too cute. And way too many to choose from.

  75. I have been wanting some of the baking twine for a super long time and I would love to get some of those popcorn bucket cupcake holders and also paper straws!!!!!!! :)

  76. I’ve always been a rubber stamping junkie. I have over 200 stamp sets, plus even more accessories and paper and ribbon. And I’m also a makeup junkie too. Love palettes especially.

Food-wise, I have dozens of bags of half-empty colored candy wafers, to dip my cake pops in. And I also have a dozen bottles of barely-used sprinkles, jimmies, you name it, I have it.

I blame you on that one. :)

  77. So much great stuff. I would have to start with a set of the India Tree Natural Food Coloring . My husband has a sensitivity to artificial dyes. Thanks for the giveaway.

  78. seriously that site is amazing, I have put $132 worth in my cart and another $90 shipping to Australia so $50 would be awesome. I must have the button moulds and the gnome cookie cutters.

what I cant stop buying is digital scrapbooking products and material for sewing clothes for my girls

  79. ALL of those are so cute!! I have to say I’m a sucker for cute cupcake liners too! I’d hate to use them!! Can’t think of what I’m buying ALL the time… wish I had $$ enough to do that!

  89. I am a thrift store girl. I can’t say no to a good deal!

  90. I can not stop myself from buying lovely new soaps. They have to be HUGE and uniquely scented. I probably have about 100 giant bar soaps that could last a lifetime.

  91. Oh wow is this stuff amazing! I don’t know what I love most! Such original things!

  92. It used to be shoes, but we now have a very limited budget, so I have to practice self-restraint.

  93. I can’t stop buying candies for decorations, sprinkles, fondant stencils and butterscotch!!!!

  100. hehe….i could buy $100 worth of the carnival stripe baking cups alone. thank you for showing me this darling website!!

  101. I cannot stop myself from buying cake decorating supplies and scrapbooking supplies and anything else they sell at Michael’s and Joanne. And then there’s cute summer shoes…too bad they don’t sell cute sandals at craft stores.

  102. Anything baking related….I’m constantly on the hunt for cute cupcake liners, fun packaging containers to ship goodies in, different toppings for my sweet goodies, etc. I love SO many thngs on Bake It Prety but I have yet to indulge (I’m afraid I won’t be able to control myself or stop)!!!

  103. the stuff in the dollar bins at Target! my three kids are all under 5, so there is always SOMEthing in there that would provide at least 15 minutes of joy before it gets broken or eaten by the dog :)

  104. oooo I’d buy cupcake liners in all the neat patterns, some twisties, those brownie liners were perty cute too!

  105. Anything on sale. I’m particularly bad with yarn and baking cups though. I just bought a plasic box to store mine in but it wasn’t big enough to hold them all!

  113. Oh, my. That website is amazing! I am addicted to buying cupcake liners, so I am sure I will be purchasing some more. I also have recently found an addiction to buying candy molds. I have been buying molds for chocolate covered oreos, but I think I need to have those moustache lolly molds…too funny!

  114. Cupcake liner, I can never have ‘nough. I love the twine too, would make packaging even more festive!

  115. I feel pretty boring since I am pretty good at stopping myself from buying things. HOWEVER, if I have any type of craving for chocolate…there is no stopping me…and since I am trying to lose weight I like to get dark chocolate chips and have some with almonds and dried cranberries! yummy!

  116. I can’t stop myself from buying things to make gum paste flowers. I have too many tools, I just need to start making them but can’t seem to find the time. Looks like this website is going to be a problem- everthing you displayed is so darn cute!

  117. Wow ~ adorable! My weaknesses are cookbooks, baking supplies of all kinds, bags/carriers, etc. My list can go on and on. At one point it was vases because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE buying flowers. It was taking over so I had to get rid of them. Now my baking pans and supplies are taking over ~ YIKES! LOL

  118. Anything baking related. I recently started a baking business and have had to get shelves and storage bins and try to organize, it’s ridiculous, but I love keeping “supplies” on hand so when I get an order I don’t have to rush around trying to find the perfect container, packaging or themed “thing”. I’ve found some lovely tulip-shaped parchment paper cupcake wrappers that I made lemon meringue cupcakes in, they were a big hit at the wedding cupcake display I did. I’m always looking for unique things!

  119. I must buy chocolate- all types and flavors!

  120. Gads! How amazing is all of that stuff?! Me? I’m a craft junkie and I can’t seem to get past an ACMoore/Michaels/JoAnns without SOMETHING… beads, stamps, dies, glues, SOMETHING.

  122. Honestly, I can’t stop myself from buying sweets, cookbooks, cookbooks on cupcakes, cupcake items, and cute vintage hats :)

  123. My eyes glaze over at the sight of scrapbook paper and cookie cutters. Can I tell you how many times I’ve rationalized my spending splurges with “well I don’t smoke, drink or gamble – let this be my vice…” Plus I do share all of my scrap-booked memories and baking with family and friends! See, I did it again – rationalized my addiction!

  124. Office supplies. I love pens, markers, post its! Strange, I know.

  125. I can’t stop from buy candy molds. I use them all the time for my cakes but if I see something cute, I will buy it and then work it into a cake. Also I ADORE cute cupcake covers. Those gingham ones were adorable.

For my kids, I can’t stop buy my daughter cute shoes…..

  126. OMG _ so cute! I don’t think I can live without those popcorn cups. I am heading to the website right now to check it out…

  127. ok, ok! I cannot believe all the pretty things. Just the cupcake wrappers alone are so unique. I’d love the pink parade, pink baroque, and pink rose wrappers!!! I’d use them for tea party snacks!

  128. I can’t stop buying lip balm. I buy a new one almost every time I am out. Jolly rancher cinnamon is my favorite one.

Just starting my own business & will be spending a ton of money here to get all the cupcake liners!

  129. Craft supplies! You name it, I have it :)

  130. LOVE the cupcake stuff. I would buy all of those just to have them. My “weakness” is paper napkins. I just can’t pass up all the pretty ones, funny ones, unique ones. When I lived in Japan, the 100¥ store was a big problem for me. They had the coolest napkins!

  131. Kitchen stuff! My husband wants me to stop because we live in a one bedroom apartment. But, I NEED it all! :)

  132. i could buy everything from bake it pretty! the patty pans! the straws! the twine!!!!

my latest obsession is servingware – plates and platters of all kinds…coz you know, you never know when you might need a special kind of plate for special kinds of cupcakes!! and easter sales aren’t helping my bank account!!

those gingham patty pans would just look adorable on one of my new cake stands….

    !!

  133. oh…oh…OHHHHHHHHHHH….me want it!!!
    please i’ll take EVERYTHING!

  134. OMG They have everything I’ve been looking for!!

  135. Whenever I go to Japan, I have to keep away from the Daiso (100 yen store) because I end up having to buy another suitcase just to bring my crap home. Everything is just a dollar! And most of it is SO CUTE! Little lunchboxes and stationery and stamps and silverware and towels and dishes and toys and… *breathes* See? They shouldn’t have that much cute for that cheap in one small (6 stories tall) place. It should be illegal.

  136. Cake decorating books and cake decorating cutters!

  137. I HAVE TO have these animal print cupcake forms!

    http://www.bakeitpretty.com/item_256/Animal-Print-Baking-Cups.htm

  138. Food. I have to restrain myself from buying pot noodles and kettle crisps and junk, because even though I get fed just fine at boarding school, I’m perpetually hungry.

  139. I haven’t made cupcakes in forever, but I keep buying things for my craft area to make cupcake sleeves!! Dies, cartriges for my Cricut, bakers twine…LOL I have made the Reese’s cookies in the mini muffin pan a few times though!

  140. salt & pepper shakers! there’s just something so cute about them … it’s weird, right?

  141. I would love to win this! I don’t have access to great local baking supply stores, and this looks like heaven!

  142. shoes are my weakness!!

  143. So cool! I have to say the cupcake kits are fabulous. I would love the dinosaur one for my boy. He would think it was the coolest thing ever.

  167. OMGOSH those have got to be the cutest and most adorable baking goodies ever!!!!

Ok, impulse buying? Easy. 3/4 length sleeve shirts. I hate my arms, so whenever I see 3/4 length tees, sweaters, etc. they have to come home with me. Sadly, I’ve bought a ton I don’t like in colors I’ll never wear, but since they seem hard to come by this year, I have to have them. Now the challenge will be actually wearing some of them….eeep!

  168. How stinkin adorable!?!

    I can’t stop buying coffee cups…. I swear it’s a sickness!

Now, they suck all the energy out of me, so every time I pass a Starbucks, I need a Venti Tall Vanilla Latte.

I’d probably start with some food coloring, then move on to the sprinkles and edible glitter, then the cupcake wrappers…..and when it comes to things NOT on the Bake It Pretty site, I can’t stop myself from buying adorable shoes for my daughter that cost an arm and a leg!
