Cake Art Party Store! I started going here about two years ago when the baking and cake decorating bug bit me. When I first walked in, I was overwhelmed. Actually, I’m still overwhelmed. There’s so much stuff I don’t know… don’t even have a clue about… but I feel like I learn something new every single time I visit. Unfortunately, I can’t do that very often because this store makes me spend money.
Like on these things. I’m serious… this place is dangerous. I think I get a sugar high or something when I walk in … my heart starts racing … I start picking random stuff up. And when I get home, bags full… I’m like, what just happened.
But, when you see all these… in one place. You start thinking… do I have enough yellow sprinkles. I can’t remember. Okay, get some more and get some blue ones, and red ones while you’re at it.
And then, you start thinking that you can’t live without blue teddy bear sprinkles or green palm tree sprinkles, or pink pigs. And what if someone has a baby… I need those baby sprinkles or wait, boys like cupcakes… what about helmet and football sprinkles. You see where I’m going. Let’s just say that I have accumulated my fair share of sprinkles.
The funny thing is … I hardly ever use them on cupcakes or cakes. It just makes me feel good knowing I have them just in case. I know … weird! But, they do come in handy when it comes to decorating cake pops, so that’s how I justify it.
You can even buy them in bags!
Here’s something I’ve never tried… and I think I’ll leave for the pros… Airbrush! Pretty colors, though.
Speaking of colors… did you know you can buy rolled fondant that is already tinted?
I started doing this recently with red fondant because it is seriously a pain to tint it yourself and get it a deep red color.
Now, a lot of people don’t like the taste of fondant, they just like the look of it from a visual perspective. So, if you just want to experiment, then play around and buy it pre-made. Just don’t get this much. You can stick with the 1 pound packages.
Or if you really want, make some from scratch. I hear marshmallow fondant is pretty good.
Anyone need 25 lbs of buttercream frosting?
Or tinted buttercream?
Not me. I like to make my own buttercream and tint it myself. Yummy!
Need some petit four icing? Just snip the tip and go. Great for beginners.
Marzipan… I haven’t dabbled in this stuff yet, but I do like saying the name. Marzipan!
Check this out! This might just be the best part of the store. Pans! Round ones, oval ones, heart-shaped ones, square ones! And in graduated sizes, too! And different heights! Help me, please.
Tools. I love tools. Offset spatulas and flat spatulas. Thank you.
Inside these little trays are every decorating tip you can think of and some you can’t. Grab some disposable bags and couplers and you’re set.
There’s so much stuff in the store that you can miss little things like this. Petal dust and luster dust… I think I’m in love. Now, I just have to figure out what to do with it.
Need to stack a big cake? Sorry, I can’t help you… haven’t done that.
Mine are little and usually just end up on cake boards like these.
And sometimes, they get put in cake boxes. I love cake boxes. Especially the tiny ones.
Little cakes in little boxes are just the cutest!
Need some party supplies? They have that, too.

Tons and tons of plastic cake toppers. I’ve never bought anything down this aisle…
But, this one made me laugh so hard, I almost bought it for a Mother’s Day cake. Then, I pictured myself on Cake Wrecks and stopped myself. :)
Father’s Day is around the corner, though…
Almost done… hang in there. Cookie cutters are always fun to have.
And so are these. I have this set of dual sided graduated cutters. I love them and they come in super handy when I make fondant covered cupcakes.
Gadgets galore! I can’t stand in this section too long because my pantry just isn’t big enough.
And guess what… that’s just the half of it. Actually, the 1/8th of it. I wish I could show you everything.

That store looks super! I have never been to a store with such variety for baking! I just tried your cake pops for the first time and they were a huge hit! I can definately use sprinkles now!

Between scrapbooking, stampin up and quartermaina, I try to be a “martha in training” as my DH calls me. I would spend way too much in this wonderful store. I have a 3 drawers full of fun stuff like this and dh just shakes his head….. Love it, another place to spend all my money…. I’m making a Pooh cake for grand niece’s 1st bday….Cross fingers.
I am a simple baker, if I can’t leave it in the pan, then it is probably too much for me. But I love to decorate, so sprinkles would be a blast.

I love my Kitchen Aid Mixer. Got it for a wedding present 7 years ago, and it is still going strong. I recently got the ice cream mixer attachment, and that has been fun, too!!!!

My fav baking tool would have to be my cookie scoopers. I love how I can choose from three sizes and that the cookies all come out pretty uniform in size.

Wowza! That is one awesome store! I’m just beginning my fascination with cake decorating. I don’t have a favorite tool, but my daughter loves to help me bake. And everything just has to have sprinkles! She would go nuts for anything girly….flowers, butterflies, hearts. Are there sparkly sprinkles? She’d be all over that!
I love my gel icing dye… it makes the prettiest colors! I would have to file for bakruptcy after going in that store!

I love offset spatulas for icing cakes. I think they are fabulous. I also love disposable pastry bags. Trying to clean the reusable ones is nuts!
My favorite baking tool is an ice scream scoop that self swipes. It’s perfect for measuring out batter for cupcakes and minis.

I am purely an amature, but I love sprinkles… my talent lies elsewhere when it comes to baking – so sprinkles are about the only thing I can decorate with. Those football ones would be perfect for making a treat for my football fans… or if they had something in a maroon color – even better!

What an awesome store! Glad I don’t live too close or I would have a problem! The favorite decorating item in our house right now is ironically the sprinkles. They are great for the traditional baked goods and for ice cream, too! My girls LOVE sprinkling just about anything!
Hubby bakes, and he said his best baking tool is his hands. They’re free, and they multitask. For me, I am actually looking for americana sprinkles. :-)

I’m usually a decorated cookie kind of girl but I’ve had fun playing with cake pops. I struggle to get cookie icing that will dry correctly. They always seem to stay tacky. Not sure what I need to do differently.

I just discovered a little shop in Michigan like this (happens to be approximately 1 mile from my new house, which is VERY bad news). I wander for hours and often leave with a bag full of stuff and very confused look on my face. It’s a wonderful place…

My fav baking item is my mom’s Correll (I never spell that right) square glass baking dish. She always used it to make brownies. Now I do! It has those 70’s green flowers on the side. Just makes me smile;-)
One of my favorite things to bake with is my set of 9 inch round cake pans with checkerboard insert (by Pampered Chef). It’s fun to make different cake combinations, and when everyone cuts into it they are surprised.
Ohhhh my god- I would definitely hyperventilate in a store like that one. It’s so awesome!

My favorite baking tool is my pampered chef stoneware pan that makes six mini fluted cakes. They make perfect little bird’s nests or pumpkins in the fall! And of course I need sprinkles for all of them. :)

I couldn’t live without my Kitchen Aid mixer. My husband jokes that our automatic espresso machine is “one of the 10 things he’d grab if we had a fire.” I think the mixer would be on mine. And I’m *not* joking. :)

You must try marzipan – it is amazing. Moldable, shapeable, and yummy. (It’s almond paste, if you’ve never tried it.)
I have lots of tools and utensils that I love, but I must also confess to a sprinkle addiction. I have sprinkles for birthdays, seasons, and every holiday!
I bake a lot with my 3 year old daughter, so needless to say… PINK sprinkles are a favorite at our house! She would absolutely love that store.

And they make me save a lot of time… I usually buy in online shops here in Spain…

I think if there were a store like that in my area, I would fall in love too. My favorite baking tool is my spatula because I use it with everything!
And I heart sprinkles. My kids big fuzzy heart sprinkles. Nothing is funner than baking with your kids with sprinkles.
My favorite tool is my cake slicer. Without that thing, I would make some SERIOUSLY crooked cake layers. :)

My fav item? Would have to be my new Martha Stewart mixing bowl! I LOVE it, I love the color (robins egg blue) I love the size and shape and I love that it has rubber grippy on the bottom so it stays put on the counter!

I heard about a multiple mini cheesecake pan (like cupcakes but for mini cheesecakes) that has removeable bottoms! I would like to have one someday!
don’tcha just LOVE a shopping spree like that! I think my favorite sprinkles were the black, brown and white cows I had once. Sadly, I have to start over from scratch collecting. I gave mine all to my sister when she started decorating cakes and now that I have a child of my own, I’m gonna need to go buy all the butterflies and daisies and pink sugar and purple nonparieles and jimmies and OH MY! it’s gonna be SO FUN!

Sadly all I have are the rainbow sprinkles that you can get in your grocery store. I would LOVE a store that out where I live….I don’t think I would come out. But my favorite baking tool is the off-set spatula.

Oh My….what I wouldn’t do to have a shop like that near us. We live in NC and though Tucker, GA isn’t that far, I don’t think I can justify driving just yet. But WOW!! My husband would kill me if we did have a store like that here….I’d get a little to happy in that store and would spend every penny we have! Oh my Goodness! I order a few things here and there from Cake Art online, but seeing it was so awesome! I wish they would open a store on SC!!!!! (If they did my husband would end up banning me from the store, though.)I am like you and have sprinkles running out my ears. Truth is everything in my kitchen is a favorite. I can spend hours playing with my toys. My dad made two rolling pins in 1940, one for my mom and one for my grandmother. I cherish and use them, so they are favorites. I will leave one to each of my two grand daughters one of these days.
Ok, that store is seriously enough to get me back into baking!! I think I’d go off the deep end on my first visit! I’d LOVE some sprinkles to get me back on the baking train!!! :-)

As a kid growing up in RI…when you got ice cream you would ask for rainbow or chocolate shots (as opposed to sprinkles or jimmies). I love that sprinkles/jimmies/shots have come a long way since then!

My dream sprinkles are hand and foot prints. I’m doing a huge baby shower cake at the end of this month, and I would love to decorate one of the tiers with tiny pairs of prints.
It’s so hard to say what my favorite baking item is…I’m still learning! I think I’ll go with my new icing spatula. That thing is SO much better than a regular knife!

My favorite baking tool is definitely piping bags and decorative tips. I love turning something simple, like cupcakes, into something gorgeous and impressive!
My favorite baking item would have to be cupcake papers. Besides its original purpose (which is great because I don’t have to grease and flour the pans) I have found tons of other uses for them. With all the colors and designs, its so hard to stop at one… or two packs at a time.

I JUST bought those baseball cupcake liners for my soon-to-be two-year-old’s birthday. I thought about making your cake bites in the shape of the dog from Blue’s Clues, but then I remembered last year where I made this huge baseball sitting on a diamond and how long it took me, and so I decided on cupcakes with Blue’s pawprint (nothing to do with the liners, but my bulk supply store/cake decorating store is smaller).
My new favorite way to decorate cupcakes is to simply use a large round tip and go around and around the cupcake in neat rows. It’s so simple but looks very classy. I will be making some for my Wine Club meeting Friday night, along with some flower cake pops that you posted recently using the leftover pastel candy corn (from the bunnies I made at Easter). Love your site – you give me all sorts of wonderful ideas!!

i am a big fan of hockey (go flyers although they are out of the playoffs) and have always wanted some hockey sprinkles, pucks and sticks.
Looks a lot like a store I have near me (only open while I’m at work though and far so I never get to go!)
My favorite thing now, at home, would probably be luster dust. Can’t go wrong with that stuff, especially the iridescent colors. While I worked at bakery, the amazing cake levelers (even though I chopped up my pinkie on one bad!)
Oh and you should really look into other brands than Satin Ice if you’re not feeling fondant. That brand alone tastes disgusting! For colors, you’re right that they’re the best way to go. But even Chocopan comes in colors now and is infinitely tastier!
Wow- I have never seen so many sprinkles in one place before! I wish they had a store around here. My favorite baking tool is my miniature cheesecake pans. I decorate them with sprinkles and they are so cute- but would love to have more interesting sprinkles to use on them.
