Pop Star: Karla in Mexico

“I’m such a big fan and definitely you have been inspiring me for the last 3 months when I started to try to make your fabulous pop cakes, I been having such a great time making them that I can only say Thanks!, and my kid say thanks too because he’s having a blast eating them… Those are the last one’s that I make. And I can’t wait to find out the way to buy your book. CONGRATULATIONS.” – Karla

Karla, those are awesome Ernie & Bert cake pops. Great job! I have Bakerella’s book and she has wonderful ideas. I’m working my way to trying them all out. So far, I’ve done the basic cake balls & basic cake pops. She gives such easy to follow techniques.

Thanks to all for your comments!!… and you’re more than welcome to come and visit my facebook page SugarDreamsMX, over there you can find more ideas!!

Vivian I think i used the lifesavers gummies for hair I just microwave it for a few seconds in order to mold it, and in anothe case I use laffy taffy !!,

Want to try and make these for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. Did you use this cookbook? How did you find black gummies for the hair? How did you make the frosting yellow and orange, what did you use for the eyes and ears and mouths? Do you have the machine to make the cake balls? I’ll check out your facebook page too. Any help you can give would be great.

hi Laura!, I don’t have the machine I do everything by hand, I don’t have the cook book either, and it’s not FROSTING! that’s paint white chocolate, the gummys I found them at the supermarket, Here in Chihuahua, Mexico we don’t have so many candy variations so I try to manage with anything that I can found around!!

I have so many designs of popcakes o(approx. 110) on my facebook page:

Come and see over there I can send you an INBOX for the fondant recipe

Sandy, We have to buy it on line!

I’m from Chihuahua, Chih. Mexico, and I just have to go to Texas 9nearest State from here to buy it!! we need an Spanish translation of the book!!!

Hola Karla!!
