Pop Star: Meghan in Utah

096_popstars-meghan_lg“My son was turning 4 and had a major obsession with batman. I thought that I should try your cake pops as an alternative to a cupcake for each kid at the party. These were a hit with both kids and adults! (mostly the adults, in fact) I used nibs cut on the diagonal for the ears, black candy melts, and white candy melts with a hint of yellow/orange coloring to get a skin tone. I wish I had an edible marker around and they would have been a lot cleaner on the face… next time I’ll make sure I have one! I used lemon cake mix and vanilla frosting for the cake pop itself and that was delicious! I am definitely going to have to do this again! Thank you for the inspiration!” – Meghan

  1. I love these. My son is doing a Batman party in two weeks and I am hoping to make them! I like that each kid gets there own! Great for favors too!

  2. they are great and yummy but it takes time to make them good

  3. I have a silly question, I’m sure, but what are nibs?

  4. Funny….I too have a HUGE obsession with Batman! These are FABULOUS!!!

  5. Thanks Sue! The batman in the background is a pinata, actually. The logo in the bottom of the photo is the actual cake. I just piped it on top of a round cake eyeballing it from a photo.

  6. Those are fantastic. Great idea with the nibs. Is the large Batman in the background a cake? Did you make that too? What about the Batman logo in the bottom of the photo, what is that made out of?
