Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

My best friend at work (Gayle) called me today to say Happy Valentines Day, she could only talk for a moment, but helped me really quickly with a problem and like that, we went on our merry way. OK, so I’m allergic to chocolate, which is HORRIBLE, but as it turns out, I’m NOT allergic to chocolate PURSES.
Because it’s Valentine’s Day, I’ll say something sweet about you. I made Milkshake Cupcakes for the 2nd year in a row for my daughter’s half birthday to share at school. They are her favorite, and she has asked me if I’ll please make them every February for her for the rest of her life. You’ve given us a family tradition! I love it!

I love my mother! She’s my inspiration & my biggest fan of my cooking & baking adventures.
My nephew Logan is my valentine this year :) He turns 3 in May, and is just the sweetest little nugget of a boy. His favorite things are monster trucks, milk, and motorcross. We sing songs together and do art projects he’s just the best kid. I can’t even recall what we did for entertainment before he was around (although, lets be honest, it couldn’t have been more interesting than Logan performing the Alligator song).
O my…my husband is the greatest in the world:
1. He tells me I’m beautiful when I have dragon breath and super cranky.
2. He’d much rather buy me an iPad2 than himself a PS3.
3. He would rather snuggle with me on the couch and watch lame movies that I want to rather than his stuff.

My husband is my Valentine. He is taking me to dinner tonight at a new restaurant which was opened by people who had a restaurant near our home when we were newlyweds. My sweetie is my husband. I have had 4 surgeries in a year and a half which has kept me from doing about 75% of my daily life duties…he has been at every appointment , by my side at the hospital and at home cooks everynight. He works hard at his job to support our family and takes college courses at home at night. Hes a wonderful man and and an amazing daddy. I don’t know if I could have been as strong thru these surgeries without him by my side. We just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary in January!

I recently had brain surgery for Chiari and had to leave my shop in God’s hands. Before surgery a lady from church stepped forward and took on my small cake shop. I’m 2 months 6 days post surgery and someone I did not know took on everything. Today I gave her flowers a big hug and told her how much I loved her. I now have a wonderful friend who I’m so blessed to have met. Love you my dear friend!

My husband is my favorite valentine. He had to stick with a super tight budget for Valentine’s this year and he still surprised me with something sweet and wonderful. I love the guy.
My nephew and niece make me laugh every day….they call me every day whether it’s just to say “hi” to to cheer me up when I’ve had a crazy day. I love them dearly and could never imagine my life without them!

My kids are beyond sweet. My son tells me he loves us and never wants to be left out of a hug. My 8 month old is already giving big slurpy kisses. I love how much joy my littles bring to everyone who meets them!
What attracted me to him was not his looks, it was his brain. He is very smart and we connected right away on that first business dinner. I knew then that he is very intelligent but didn’t know that he is that intelligent till the day he invented a car that runs on compressed air!!!

These are so cute. We have to postpone Valentine’s this year. The two little ones and I myself have pneumonia and my sweet hubby is taking care of us and the house and working. When I asked him what he wanted for Valentine’s he replied, “My family to be well.” :) We are headed that way.
