Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s a super last minute idea or more likely – an early idea for next year. Just something quick and cute.
And if you don’t need any treats, you might want to mosey on down towards the middle of this post.
I made little heart chocolates. Hi.
And packaged them up like tiny candy bars. Too cute. And thanks for reading.
This is super easy. You’ll need a candy mold though. The product number is in the photo below if you want to search for it. I found mine at Cake Art. The squares are 1.25 inch.
And because I have a mini candy coating store growing in my kitchen, I decided to use some of it up for these.
Melt pink candy coating and then using a toothpick, draw heart shapes in the cavity of the candy molds. Let it dry and then pour melted chocolate candy coating over the top. Mercken’s is what I used for these. Fill the cavity enough so it reaches the corners without overflowing and then tap the mold on the counter to settle and even out the coating. Repeat with the remaining cavities. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to set and then pop them right out of the mold and place on wax paper. Repeat and repeat until you have what you need.
Of course, you make these even easier and unwrap existing candy bars to use.
Now the fun part. I had these pink foil wrappers that were lonely and waiting to cuddle something. They were really too big for the bars I made so I cut them in half.
Lay the chocolate on the wrapper, fold the two short pieces first and then the long ones.
The foil is super thin so you can press it pretty flat.
These are also fun to wrap up your cake pops if you do simple decorations.
After your bars are all wrapped in foil, you can add paper wrappers.
I created these with different sayings.
Even one for the pinterest lovers out there.
Making your own wrappers is a cute gift or favor idea. Use the same process and create your own wrappers for your theme. You can turn any candy bar into something a little more special.
But now let me tell you why I really made these.
I bought something for myself a few weeks ago that I thought was the cutest thing ever.
Or at least the cutest thing that week.
It was on sale thank goodness. Wanna see?
It goes with the theme so far.
And it’s really what inspired these tiny wrapped chocolate bars.
But this chocolate is a little bit bigger.
And sassier.
The good thing is it won’t melt in my hands.

It’s pretty big, too. Actually it’s a really big clutch.
Big enough to carry all my cha cha chocolates.
Thankfully it has a chain strap, too.
And yes, I couldn’t help but make little Cha Cha labels. It’s just too much fun to say.
But I haven’t mentioned the best part about this bag. It turns out I didn’t just buy one.
Yep. Right now I have one for each hand and that just looks plain silly.

Love this idea. Love the clutch eveb more. But the one I love the most is my 16 year old who has been with me through job losses, break-ups, the death of my father, grandmother, grandfather, and other dog. Yes, he is dachshund (a.k.a. wiener dog!) but he has been the one constant for the last 16 years and the love of my life.

These are adorable! I have to keep myself from getting involved in candy making because I know I’ll get carried away… but they seem so simple!
My mother keeps me sane no matter what I’m going through or how much I heap on my plate. She still lives close so I get to see her a lot. Not as much as I’d like, but still quite a bit!
Those chocolates look too cute to eat! But my amazing husband would probably enjoy a couple. He’d done such a great job getting strong and fit I’m sure they would last him a very long time.
I love my Momma, because she just nursed me through a yicky oral surgery. She brought me ice packs every 20 minutes, and fed me ice cream and mashed potatoes. It’s what mommas do…they’re worthy of our love and appreciation!

My husband has always done something special for me every Valentine’s day, even when we have been horribly broke. When we first were married we had no money and almost no food in our apartment and my husband made our Valentine’s Day special. He made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and used a butter knife to cut them into hearts, they were a little abstract, but I got the point :) This is my most cherished Valentine’s day. He’s a wonderful husband and now he’s also a wonderful father.

I love how my girlfriend scoops the kitty litter every morning even though the cats are both ours. I hate doing it with a passion and every time she does it, I am thankful! Hardly a sappy romantic thing, but it’s the truth! Sometimes love in real life is about scooping the kitty litter. :)

My person is my husband. He gives me the pickle that comes with his burger, he makes me laugh when I’m getting angry at something stupid and he doesn’t turn off “The Voice” when I want to watch it. :) I couldn’t be happier that we found each other and I’m thrilled to spend the rest of my life with him.
How lucky am I that I not only have my family as Valentines, but about 100 students as well. My favorite students are the ones that struggle with new concepts but who try hard and succeed. Seeing the light go on in their minds is better than any chocolate!

My fiance and I had decided not to really exchange Valentine’s gifts this year, as he is in law school and we are super broke.
But he surprised me with flowers delivered yesterday, tulips, because it was cheaper on the 13th than on Valentine’s Day. It really is the thought that counts. He always knows how to surprise me.

The priest we had the past few years is who I’d like to say something sweet about. He’s been a great friend, and we miss him dearly.
My boyfriend may annoy me to no end sometimes but I couldn’t imagine my life without him. He’s stayed with me through my roughest times and supported me in a way I couldn’t have imagined. I don’t know what I would do without him and I’m so grateful that he’s mine.
This is my 41st Valentine’s Day celebration with the man I chose to spend my life with. We’ve shared the joys of raising four amazing children and now the joy of watching them raise our twelve amazing grandchildren — including the newest set of twin girls! We’ve also shared the heartaches of losing parents, a business, and most recently, his strong, healthy body. But I still adore him. And the thing I fell in love with first — his beautiful, big, soft hands — still give me chills when he holds mine in his. Chocolate is his favorite food in the whole world! He may actually love this little purse more than me!! Be blessed.
What a gorgeous clutch! Right now I’m thinking about a very dear friend who lost her mother to cancer yesterday. She was so strong for her mom and took such great care of her for the past year. My heart breaks for her.

OMG!! The purse goes so well with the cha cha chocolates! What an amazing idea!! I just want to say that my special person is my mum. She is ill at the moment and in hospital but even still always has a smile on her face and asks how I am as well as trying to solve all my problems, which are rather minor compared to her health problems. I have lots of LOVE to share, but today it’s for my kiddos. I have 5 and I love them more each day. THEY are what matters in life (and my awesome hubby,of course) so they get all my love today. XOXO

My poor husband, working so much lately at a demanding job, I know he’s missing me and the little baby I’m growing and I’m looking forward to showing him that we miss him and love him too the first night he can get home in time for the chocolate cake I made (his favorite).
I love my three valentines – my fabulous hubby and my two darling, sweet children. I can’t imagine celebrating this day without them!
I love my sweetheart because he is so caring. He leaves me notes, emails, and always surprises me. He always goes above and beyond to put a smile on my face.

I have a little brother that is very ill. He was the very first sibling that I could be a ‘big’ sister to…I had an older brother, after my mom and step dad married we had to wait 5 years before Ron was born. He is everything to me. Right now he is fighting tonsil cancer. You never really know how much people mean to you until there’s a chance you might lose them. 50 years isn’t long enough. I want to keep him longer!
My husband made me and our three girls HUGE cookies set beside our pink breakfast this morning…he’s so sweet!
My special peoplea are my friends ’cause they are good chat buddies and aren’t afraid to eat my experiments!
I love my four roommates so much. We get along so well and have created a loving, welcoming apartment together!
My sweet hubby is the cutest redhead ever! PLUS…he does laundry! Love him!

I have 3 wonderful Valentines- my husband, who still has me smiling after 12 years, and my two little girls, who are my reason for getting up in the morning (quite literally with the little one). :o)
My valentine is sick! So we’ll have to celebrate later when he’s feeling better, but he’s so worth the wait!!!!
My adorable hubby not only loves me, but helps ground me. He helps me remember what’s really importnat and what’s not. And most of the stuff that stresses me out doesn’t really matter. I can’t imagine where I’d be without him. LOVE HIM!

This purse is ADORABLE. At first I got really excited for you because I thought it was a huge chocolate bar, but a clutch that can carry mini chocolates is clearly superior. :) My roommate has been an amazing rock for me to lean on this past year, and I’m so glad I’ve gotten closer to her this year!

I love my husband for staying by my side while I recovered from surgery last winter. I was sick with pneumonia 1 week after we were engaged and in the ICU over Christmas. We married in the spring and he is my bestest friend ever!
Been married for 32 years! He’s left-brain…I’m right-brain! Amazing! And we’re still Valentines!

My valentine is my darling husband of 23 years. (Gawd I can’t be that old yet!!) His name is Bret and he is my best friend. We don’t make a real bid deal over valentines day…we just had our anniversary on Feb. 4th. And we make a big deal over that day! So February is our “love” month!
