I’m hosting a fun giveaway today from my publisher, Chronicle Books. Last year they launched a GIVE BOOKS holiday campaign to encourage people to share the love of books during the holiday season, to support local bookstores and to help promote literacy. And I’m excited that they are doing it again this year. But this year they are doing it bigger. Giving bigger. I think Pretzel Making at Home sounds like fun! I really like soft pretzels, but I rarely get to eat them. Enjoying them in the comfort of my home also sounds appealing. No getting rained on or smelling weird smells at a fairground. :)
OMG! I would love to have all of those books!!!! I recently made cake pops for Halloween for my office and followed the tutorials on your blog. If I had to choose one to give probably the “Peanuts” because it is so iconic. Who doesn’t love them? Buuuut, my kiddies love donuts the best, so for us I would pick donuts. They’re all yummy.

Tartine would be the one I’d read first! I LOVE cookbooks and already have far too many, but there’s just no way I can resist the temptation of getting more and more :-). We’re expecting our second baby any day now, and I’m sure there will be countless sleepless nights coming. Having a good collection of new cookbooks to read while nursing or getting the baby back to sleep would be great!

I love promoting literacy in any way I can. In San Antonio I paired with a furniture store and the school district I worked for and they made rulers for the kids that said “Lacks supports Literacy”. At the current district in New Mexico where I am we made and wrote children’s books and delivered them to local hospitals and shelters to promote literacy . We made enough to give for school-wide distribution. So worthwhile of a cause!
