Pop Star: Jessica in New Jersey

“This is such a crazy thing because I never bake but I baked and decorated a table for our Mother Daughter Banquet called Once Upon an Apron we had at my church for Mother’s Day this year! Perfect timing because as we came into the banquet we all received raffle tickets! And my 15-year-old daughter won your book and a cute apron! She could care less about either but when I saw the book I read the whole thing! I HAD NEVER EVEN SEEN A CAKE POP BEFORE THAT DAY! She didn’t care too much about the book, but can’t stop eating the pops! My son even made his own last night! What a blessing… your instructions and pictures were perfect and I thank you sooooo much for all the detail in the book and on your site! For the past two months, people are asking me all the time to make them for them and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and it never would have happened if not for your book and God’s perfect timing…Again, thank you so much for writing your book…I have discovered something I absolutely LOVE! I was asked to make two peas in a pod for a twin baby girls shower.” – Jessica

  10. We are 12 year old girls who think you are inspirational. We also look up tp you. We think you and your ideas are very creative. We both have cake pop makers and have attempted to make cake pops from a baked cake. We plan on making a craft and bake shop. But, we can’t think of a creative name, like bakerella. What are the balnkets made of? Is it fondant?

  13. thank you ladies!!! Jennifer – I did use americolor they are the best, but even last night using it between writing, you have to hold it upside down so the ink stays in flow and wipe the point with paper towel frequently, worked really well on the cat in the hat thing 1 and 2 pops I made see:

  14. Hi Jessica,

I totally love this pic. And I love your testimony. I too never knew anything about cakepops but I love love love to bake. I was out searching for something new, and stumbled upon Bakerella’s book. It definitely was God’s perfect timing and Bakerella’s willingness to share her ideas that has led me to start making cakepops! It’s really fun and I am enjoying myself, if you ever get a chance, check me out on Facebook. I’m under K. Joy’s Cakepops. I wish you the best in your cakepop endeavors!
