Pop Star: Shannon in Minnesota
“Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog and all your great ideas. My friend Andrea and I recently attempted to make cake pops and they turned out pretty well. We ended up making about 100 of them for our kids to sell at their lemonade stand during our recent 3-day garage sale. So just wanted to say thanks and we are helping bring cake pops to Minnesota!” - Shannon

aww… these kids are so cute!

April 21, 2010 01:33 PMDid the cake pops take the heat well outside? I was going to make them for relay at our booth but was unsure if they lasted about 4 hrs. outside without melting.

May 9, 2010 11:37 PM@angela – I think they would be ok at your relay. You could always keep some in a cooler and put them out as they sell. I think they are the perfect on-site fundraiser at Relay. I <3 Relay! Ours is August 6th in Maple Grove. When is yours?
May 10, 2010 02:13 PMThey held up fairly well outside as long as we kept them out of the direct sun, otherwise they melted. We also stored them in the fridge over night and took them out just before the sale started so they were chilled. Whenever we had lulls in the sale, we’d put some back in the fridge temporarily so a cooler with ice should work pretty well.
