Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

Key lime cake for sure! Try it in cake-ball form. Flavor the icing with a little key lime juice, and then mash it all together. Make the cake balls as usual, and then dip them in chocolate candy coating. Sprinkle coconut on top and enjoy. Trust me, it’s GLORIOUS!
My great-aunt’s seven layer chocolate pound cake! It’s a pound cut into 6-7 thin layers with a chocolate ganache frosting in between and all around the outside. It’s so decadent, but so good. I have to for my birthday every year- thank goodness it’s coming up soon!
I would have to say my favorite cake is chocolate cake with thick chocolate frosting … so rich you have to eat with a big glass of ice cold milk… oh I love cake!!

Almond cherry ice cream cake. It’s white cake with almond extract, buttercream icing with chopped cherries in it, and cherry vanilla ice cream in the layers. My Aunt and I made it up one year for my birthday and it’s made an appearance every year since.
I love Red Velvet cake. Why you ask ???For as long as I can remember I have had Red Velvet Cake with a butter cream Frosting for my Birthday. My Birthday is the 24th of December and that was the only Red cake my mother knew to make. So the tradition started that every Christmas Eve we would have Red Velvet cake for dessert after our Christmas Eve dinner. I still love that cake but nobody makes it like mom does.
