Last fall during the book tour, I visited a bunch of cupcake bakeries and sweet shops in just about every city I passed through. Miette was one of my favorites in San Francisco. If you get a chance, make sure to give them a visit.
They have two locations. One in the Ferry Building and one on Octavia Street. They also have one in Oakland and another opening later this year in Larkspur, California.
In San Francisco, the one on Octavia Street is bigger than the Ferry building location, but both are just as cute as can be.
I loved the colors and the display of sweets. So did Julie.
Everywhere you turn are the cutest treats with adorable packaging.

Miette recently released a cookbook filled with recipes of their signature sweets.
Pretty awesome.
And pretty cute. I love the scalloped pages.
It ties in beautifully with the shop accents.

I made the Tomboy Cake. So good. It’s made with chocolate and cocoa.
And I must say, it feels good to feel like baking again.

I have lived in the bay area for almost 15 years and we always go to San Francisco often but I have never heard of Miette, I will have to check them out…the last cookbook I bought was Martha Stewart Living, I don’t know what my next purchase is going to be but I am looking for a recipe book about savory desserts any suggestions?

I just got at ,costco this week, Better Homes and Gardens Garden Freash Meals and on Sunday I made the Apple Fennel Salad, the first time a used fennel in a recipe. It was great!

The Cornbread Gospels by Crescent Dragonwagon. I keep rechecking it out of the library, I need to just go buy it! It has some amazing recipes that include Cornbread, like bourbon-banana Cornbread pudding with bourbon sauce, I made it, it was incredible!! :) I love adventures in baking.

I believe the last cookbook I purchased was the “Cake pops by Bakerella”…and an absolutely amazing book it is…no detail was left out…even if I had never baked a thing in my life, I think I would have been able to pull off almost everything in the book. No tip/idea/suggestion/instruction is left to be figured out, it is ALL in there, as simple as day. Thnx so much for a great production :) :).

Honestly, the last cookbook I bought was a weight watchers cookbook. I’ve been printing baking recopies from blogs and putting them together because the step by step directions and pictures and comments are so helpful!
The latest cookbook I’ve purchased was a macaron cookbook! I love it – the first macarons I made from the book were lemon ones with lemon mascarpone and lemon curd filling. They were so delicious! Miette’s cookbook looks so beautiful, I’d love for it to be my next cookbook! :)

I can’t remember the last cookbook I got, but I’m looking forward to getting Girl in the Kitchen when it’s released in October (Stephanie Izard, Top Chef Season 4 winner).
My next cookbook that I am going to purchase is your cake pop book! I made the apple cake pops for my daughter’s year end party for kindergarten and they were a hit!
The last cookbook I bought was “Doubly Delicious” by Jessica Seinfeld. I am planning to buy The Pioneer Woman Cooks very soon!!!would also love Miette!!

I just bought “The Things Cooks Love” from Sur La Table! Wonderful recipes…with lots of basic info, I will probably give it to one of my kids!

the last cookbook i received was “the joy of cooking” from my boyfriend’s parents on christmas. the next ones i want to acquire are whitney’s from masterchef–i love her southern dishes and the red and white checkered better homes and gardens cookbook from my mom’s kitchen. most of my tried and trues are from that book and now that i’ve moved far away, i don’t have access to it. i love the pics, the stains on the pages and the hand-written notes mom has stuck inbetween the pages through the years. i cherish it!
The next cookbook is love to get would be the Miette Cookbook. My boyfriend is in the process of buying a home, and I’d love to bake some of those adorable pastries for his housewarming.

The last book I bought was Now Eat This! by Rocco DiSpirito. I love to bake so I have MANY baking books but my husband wants me to cook more. Go figure! So I picked up Rocco’s cookbook. But I’d love to win this book b/c I miss baking.
