I bought these little guys thinking I might use them for some kind of Easter cupcakes. I mean, they are cute in a marshmallowy sugar kinda way.
And look how much cuter they are on sticks. (couldn’t resist.)
But, then as they lay in the kitchen next to my handy dandy edible ink pens
, I thought about something else I could do with them. Something a little less Easter, and potentially a lot more fun.
So I grabbed my red and black pens, turned these little guys over on their tummies and went to town. Oh, and I pinched their ears, too.
Don’t laugh. I was bored.

Pikachus or in this case … Peep-achus!
I don’t think I can ever look at Peeps the same way again.
FYI… Pikachu is part of the Pokémon franchise owned by Nintendo. They’re not something I know a whole lot about, but they were on my mind because I had just recently bought some Pokémon stuff for my friend’s daughter who has been collecting these things for awhile.
See what I mean. There are like hundreds of these strange little creatures that belong to the Pokémon family, but Pikachu is the only one I know of by name and as you can see, pretty conducive to a Peep makeover. I couldn’t wait to surprise her with them.
She squealed when they saw them and her little brother was pretty excited, too. Just seeing them smile makes me happy. Totally worth it.
Okay, so I mentioned Nintendo earlier for a reason. Have any of you ever played the Nintendo DS
? Because my niece got one for Christmas along with the Super Mario Bros.
game and I have become a-d-d-d-ddddicted to it. She’ll come over to stay sometimes and when I pick her up, I’m like… “Sweetie, do you want to bring your Nintendo?” and “Don’t forget the charger.” (Insert evil laugh)
We’ll sit on the sofa together and take turns. Well, she usually gets 10 turns to my one. Then, when I do get a turn, I usually die right away. But she, graciously offers to help … by taking it away from me … to show me what I did wrong! Then I wait another ten turns before I get another go. I should just buy one for myself, but, i’m scared to own it. I definitely wouldn’t get much done until I could finish World 8. Besides, it’s too much fun when we play together. Well, when I watch her play. :)
Anyway, you guys can see what I mean because I’m giving away one of these players! Yippee! (Super Mario Bros. not included.) Thank me later.

The Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg for sure. Why does it taste so different at Easter time than when it’s in cup shape with the crinkly edges? I don’t eat them the whole year round — I wait until Easter, freeze them and grab a cold, smooth treat! Yum!!!

My grandma found these Easter bunny jelly candies from Cracker Barrel. I have no idea what they are called…but they are really good. Sadly, Peeps have never been my favorite. But I love that you made them into Pickachu!
The handmade (way too large!) peanut butter filled, chocolate-covered eggs from a local confectionist where I grew up. (I hadn’t read the “jk!” and enlisted my younger brother’s help: 1. mewtwo, 2. shieldon, 3. glameow, 4. mew, 5. lucario.)
Does carrot cake count? Although I guess if I had to choose candy – I would go with cadbury egg. In general though I prefer cake to candy.

Funny thing, I was thinking my little guy needed a DSi just this AM. I can’t afford it so winning would be awesome. Why I thought it was he kinda got short changed at Xmas, he only wanted a Wii game. I promised him other stuff, but it just hadn’t panned out yet.

Reese’s Eggs are the best. There’s really no contest, even with other Reese’s. (Reese’s Eggs are better than Reese’s Cups, Reese’s Trees, Reese’s Pumpkins, Reese’s Pieces…you get the idea!)
The “peep-a-chu” are perfect! Love them almost as much as Cadbury’s easter eggs.
There’s probably too many Easter treats that I enjoy! I don’t think Hot Cross Buns count as candy but… Hot Cross Buns + Melted Easter Eggs inside = MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH-WATERING-YUMM-DELICIOUS-AND-OH-SO-TASTY-HOT-CROSS-BUNS!

I must be honest, all Easter Candy is amazingly delicious. However, I go for the Cadbury Creme Eggs for two reasons 1. the creme is beyond addictive and 2. the chocolate is amazing… this is why it is hard not to loose all of my teeth and gain 20 million pounds during this season.
How fun! I, too, can be a video game addict. My favourite Easter candy is these mini-Cadbury egg packages that have milk chocolate, Cadbury, and Caramel eggs all in small sizes. Yum!

My favorite Easter candy is a tough one. I have several, but hands down for my sister and I are Peeps, but they have to be prepared before consumption. I do not like Peeps straight from the package. We like to take the package, put a slit in the cellophane and then let them sit on the shelf for about a week. NOW, they are ready to eat ! We like them to be a little dry and very chewy ! They are much better that way. We are odd, I know….
There are few Easter candies that I *don’t* like, but I am addicted to Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. They are so much more peanut buttery than the cups!

Actually, my favorite Easter treat is one I have been making for y-e-a-r-s, Rice Krispie Eggs.
Make extra creamy ( = add extra marshmellow and butter to recipe) Rice Krispie mixture. Wait three minutes. Spray hands thickly with pan coating spray. Grab a handful of the Rice Krispie mixture and quickly (due to the heat) form it into a egg shape. Place on wax paper. Keep going, spraying hands well about every two eggs. Then using various colored tube frosting, form spring colored flowers and leaves on top of the ‘eggs’. Put some green Easter grass in the bottom of a round Tupperware pie taker and spray lightly with pan coating spray. Place eggs in circles inside Tupperware. Close till serve time. Then – ENJOY :-D

Cadbury mini-eggs are my favorite Easter candy by far! Miniature Reese’s are my second favorite but only if they are kept in the freezer. mmmmm

My favorite are the mini Cadbury Cream Eggs- it can’t be the big one because that is just too such sugar overload at once. The small onces are the perfect little bite of yummy easter goodness.

These little parcels of creamy goodness are so more-ish I can eat the whole packet!!
I don’t even like white chocolate, but there is something about these (probably LOTS of fat/oil)that I just can’t resist.

Cadbury mini eggs. The sugar shells are perfect! Easter is also the only time I eat jelly beans. Starburst are best.
If my son wasn’t in school I could enlist his help in naming all of those characters; fortunately I won’t be needing that information.
Favorite Easter candy obsession is either those Resses Peanut Butter Eggs or Robins Eggs. I don’t dare buy either of them – I can only hope that they will be featured in my sisters Easter candy bowl.

Well I would love to say my mom’s homemade peanut butter eggs but we know nothing does justice to Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. But my favorite Easter candy is Robin Eggs! Ohh they are so delicious!!
One Easter my parents put only Carob in the Easter Baskets. Easter has not be the same since! My favorite easter candy, though, is a chocolate covered marshmellow bunny. Wait no! It’s the pecan nut roll/egg. I haven’t had one of those in years!!!
