Follow Me to the Ranch!
That’s THE ranch. You know the one I mean. PW, MM, the punks and Charlie all live there. Yes, THE ranch. I’m so excited. And, if you don’t know who I’m talking about, allow me to introduce you to…

There, I said it. It’s official. It’s real now. And, I’ll be leaving pretty soon. Pioneer Woman and I are going to be kicking around in the kitchen at the lodge… so awesome! Now, for the fun part. If you want, you can follow me along the way on Twitter.
What’s Twitter? It’s like micro-blogging and allows you to communicate with short statements called “tweets.” It should be a fast way for me to keep you guys updated on all the fun right from my phone. And, there will be fun. (Hope I have good coverage.) Anyway, if you’re interested, here’s my Twitter profile.
Now, for the really fun part…

SOOOOO envious, but also so happy for you — what an awesome trip it will be. I don’t think CA is within easy driving distance to OK, so I’ll have to follow along via Twitter and PW.com.

March 5, 2009 06:09 PMWell…define “driving distance”? I guess northern California probably wouldn’t count, even though I’d *totally* make the trip for this opportunity! I’d just have to figure out what to do with my little ones for a few days…hmm.
At any rate, have a wonderful time and give us lots of updates!

March 5, 2009 11:52 PMI couldn’t find an email address.. so I thought I’d ask a question here.
I am baking a donut shaped cake for a friends birthday party. His favorite thing in the world is white cake donut with white frosting and sprinkles. I have a question and thought you might have some ideas.
I am going to use a large circular wedding cake pan to bake the cake. But I will have to cut parts of to get it to the toroid shape. But then the cake would get dry so I wanted to coat it with something other than fondant and still have it look like the golden brown deliciousness of a cake donut. Any suggestions?
Then, I was going to make a thick white frosting and put sprinkles on top. Can one buy extra large sprinkles?
Is it too weird to ask you for advice? :)
Thanks!

March 8, 2009 02:59 AMIs 14 hours considered within driving distance?
March 10, 2009 03:05 PMI noticed that you all were using Satin Ice. How does it taste ? I just ordered some to use on something for my daughter because the Wilton brand was horrible….Is Satin Ice more palatable ?
March 10, 2009 08:08 PMMy First Kitchen – Ha! I guess if you were willing.
James ~n~ Amber – I like it a little better than Wilton, but I’m no expert.
