Eeek! Eeeeek! Oink! Oink!
It’s Hamm… everyone’s favorite talking plastic piggy bank. Well, his head at least. I couldn’t resist trying these cake pops out in honor of Toy Story 3, which opens today… Yep. Today and I can’t wait to see it. Bring on the toys!
Hamm is fairly easy to make in cake pop form and only needs a few decorative add-ons to achieve his distinctive look. Plus, pigs are just plain cute, so I felt I had to try him.
Want to see my Woody and Buzz versions?
Okay, so I took the easy road here with tiny paper poster tags to carry out the theme. No cowboys or space rangers.
Me. Slacker. That’s my name.
But seriously… I was too excited to try this next cake pop I’m about to show you. And I think he may be one of my favorites to date.
I’ve been wanting to try him for a while and I couldn’t be happier with how he turned out. I even surprised myself.
So I guess you know what’s coming based on the title of this post.
Hamm’s spud bud from the movie …
I can hardly stand it. Look at the one on the right’s expression. He kills me.
Chocolate cake balls plus …
Peanut butter candy melts plus …
… all this stuff = PLAY. TIME.
It’s okay to play you know. I won’t tell.
We should all play a little more. Don’t ya think?
“Woohoo! I do.”
“Seriously guys, control yourself. – You know you’re all cake pops.”
“And, you know what that means.”
“Uh yeah, I’m starting to figure that out.” – Wise guy!
“Later, spuds… I’m outta here as fast as my candy feet can carry me. Who’s with me?”
Don’t worry… they didn’t get too far.
After a while… all that was left was just a paper memory.
Want to play with toys and cake? Jump on over to Disney’s family.go.com to get instructions for all the fun. And thanks, Disney for the chance to have a go at these.
Hamm it up! Plus, you can also download the poster tags!
And, just curious… who’s going to see the movie this weekend? Anyone? Everyone?
Oh man! I wish I could get all those things here in lil New Zealand so I can make them too. They are awesome! I’m very exciting about the movie (but since I live in NZ I have to wait a wee while yet….)
These are adorable! I am a ridiculously huge Disney fan, (even my wedding ring looks like Mickey Mouse). Can you make any others, like Beauty and the Beast? Maybe Chip and Mrs. Potts. That’s my fav movie : ) Keep the cuteness coming.
You slay me! Your wit and great sense of humor rival only your talent when it comes to your amazing creations!!! All the best, Jenn @ rookno17
So stinking cute!! We’re having a Toy Story birthday party for my little boy and were thinking of making those as an activity. All the kids decorating their own Potatoe Head. Just wondering… Where did you get the chocolate covered sunflower seeds? Can you buy them or do you need to make them?
I like the tutorials on the site!!
It’s such a good movie! I wish I had made these to take with us to the movies. They’re fantastic!
Oh my word the Mr Potato Head is way to cute. And when I got to the one with the bite taken out. I couldn’t help but laugh
Just when I thought your cake pops couldn’t be any cuter, Mr Potato Head. Can’t wait to see Toys Story 3!
These are so cute! My cousins would love these!
Wow, these are great! I love mister potato head. Guess we’ll have to wait for toy story is in cinema here in the Netherlands.
Saw it last night. My 6 y.o. is a bit tender hearted and cried at the end. I won’t spoil it for the other people leaving comments but I got a little misty, too (shhhhh!)
Actually, I just found it; crumble the cake and mix with 3/4 of a container of frosting. When I imagine doing that, I see myself ending up with a mess – not the Dunkin Donuts munchkin looking cake balls that you end up with. Is that really all I have to do?!
These are amazing! I really want to try making some cake pops but I don’t understand how you make the cake balls. Did I miss that somewhere in one of your past posts…?
Wow, Hamm is good but Mr. Potato Head is awesome. You really captured his personality! There is going to be an Elvis Mr. Potato Head. His estate approved it last week.
Somehow, that just sounds wrong.
aaaaaaahhh, i *LOVE* the pigs/hamm!!! sweetest cakepop ever!!! i’m so happy that i just bought colors for coloring chocolate… plus, my “blogsister” loves pink… that’s gonna be a “PIG” thiing! ;)
wow they are so amazing , i hope i will be able to find your book here in nz
Oh.My.Gosh! You are fabulous! Can’t wait ’til the book is out!
Bakerella – you are awesome. Hamm is way cute and Mr. Potato Head is well done, all his parts too! We will see the movie, just not opening weekend. Too crowded. Schools out, I imagine EVERYONE will be there, so we’ll wait another day.
My reaction to these were pretty much like my reaction to the Sesame Street pops. I am in awe!
these are awesome! i love them and totally am going to watch the movie this weekend!
My husband works at Pixar and made Toy Story 3 and absolutely LOVED your cake pop tribute to his film. Did you like the movie?!?!?
We think it’s the best one thus far! ;)
Awesome cake pops, as always! We are huge fans!
Every time I think you can’t make any cuter pops than you’ve already made, you prove me wrong. These are so stinkin cute. I want you to come to my house and bake with me.

I watched it today! It was a great movie, and I sure wouldn’t mind watching it again! But don’t let the title fool you, it gets unexpectedly intense in some scenes, and just downright creepy in others. But everything’s always lightened up with humor. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
