Eeek! Eeeeek! Oink! Oink!
It’s Hamm… everyone’s favorite talking plastic piggy bank. Well, his head at least. I couldn’t resist trying these cake pops out in honor of Toy Story 3, which opens today… Yep. Today and I can’t wait to see it. Bring on the toys!
Hamm is fairly easy to make in cake pop form and only needs a few decorative add-ons to achieve his distinctive look. Plus, pigs are just plain cute, so I felt I had to try him.
Want to see my Woody and Buzz versions?
Okay, so I took the easy road here with tiny paper poster tags to carry out the theme. No cowboys or space rangers.
Me. Slacker. That’s my name.
But seriously… I was too excited to try this next cake pop I’m about to show you. And I think he may be one of my favorites to date.
I’ve been wanting to try him for a while and I couldn’t be happier with how he turned out. I even surprised myself.
So I guess you know what’s coming based on the title of this post.
Hamm’s spud bud from the movie …
I can hardly stand it. Look at the one on the right’s expression. He kills me.
Chocolate cake balls plus …
Peanut butter candy melts plus …
… all this stuff = PLAY. TIME.
It’s okay to play you know. I won’t tell.
We should all play a little more. Don’t ya think?
“Woohoo! I do.”
“Seriously guys, control yourself. – You know you’re all cake pops.”
“And, you know what that means.”
“Uh yeah, I’m starting to figure that out.” – Wise guy!
“Later, spuds… I’m outta here as fast as my candy feet can carry me. Who’s with me?”
Don’t worry… they didn’t get too far.
After a while… all that was left was just a paper memory.
Want to play with toys and cake? Jump on over to Disney’s family.go.com to get instructions for all the fun. And thanks, Disney for the chance to have a go at these.
Hamm it up! Plus, you can also download the poster tags!
And, just curious… who’s going to see the movie this weekend? Anyone? Everyone?
For the Mr Potatoe head cake pops what did you use for his mustache? Are those sprinkles

I LOVE these. We are having a Toy Story birthday party for my son next weekend and I want to make these. But I am having trouble finding the chocolate covered sun flower seeds. Where do you find them?
I tried making them and they were too heavy and fell off when I dipped them. Does anyone have any tips to help with that problem??
I made these for my sons 5th birthday party. He wanted a Mr. poptato head cake and i found these online. It was the first time I ever heard of cake pops and the first time making them. They turned out great and were a hit. Everybody loved them and they tasted great too!

Any type of train molds/design. My son LOVES Thomas and just trains in general. Where did you get the “3” for the stick? First time on this site-do you sell and ship your creations?

These are awesome! My son had a Toy Story birthday party last month – wish I would have found these sooner and I would have really “wowed” the guests! I made cupcakes of the little alien men, which turned out cute, but not nearly as impressive as these! Your site is amazing and so inspiring! Thank you!
just wondering, when making cake balls, I know that you mix in room temperature frosting. have you ever tried it with melted frosting? it seems like it would be easier, but i know you are the expert, so does melted frosting make it easier to mix???
LOVE IT ALL!! u RoCk!!!!
so ridiculously CUUUUUTTEE! Love it and I just want to have those!
I loved the movie and i love the Mr. Potato heads
I did these for my twins 3rd birthday party, but they did not come out at all looking like yours!! How do you make the candy dry on the ball so smooth??? Mine is clumpy and not smooth at all. :-/ I melted it very ell and also put vegetable oil to make it easier to work with but it didnt work….
So cute! Love the Mr. Potatoehead pops — Was not planning to see the movie, but now may have to!
I love ice cream, ices anything frozen. I’m just starting to make sorbets for the summer and am experimenting with pineapples, coconuts, strawberries and chocolate. love your site because you have such great ideas

I’m never going to be able to make these, but I just had to say that they’re amazing!
aww, how cute are they?
I especially LOVE the Mr Potato Head ones :)
Bakerella, if you are a “slacker” then I am just plain bad at life. Slacking is not in your baking vocab, my dear. You’re of the “above and beyond” and “extraordinary” categories!
Hamm is my FAVORITE Toy Story character so these are probably my favorite cake pops of all time. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant. Those cake pops look beautiful. Great work.
you are amazing!!! I had enough trouble just doing plain ones, seriously my jaw dropped when i saw these! fantastic!

So we want to see Buzz and Woody now!!
Wow! You are the queen!!
i tried making flower cake balls tonight.. came back to accuse you of sorcery, since your shapes and execution are so, so, so far above and beyond what I ended up with! Realize i need to follow your instructions more closely- and practice! Thank you for the beautiful inspiration and for setting the bar so high- it makes me try harder! You are the best!
I cried at the end of the movie, and these are super cute!
OMG! these are precious! i love Toy Story! I love how expressive your Mr Potato Heads are! LOL and Hamm Evil Dr Pork Chops! Too cute to eat! They are awesome! just made my day :):)
Bakerella you are amazing. My son is obsessed with Mr Potato Head. He’s not even 2 so he just calls toy story ‘tato’
I would love to try some of your cake pops eventhough I think it looks awfully hard. I’m in Aus so we don’t have much candy supplies. Do you know any good websites that sell lots of the bits and pieces you use??
just when i thought you couldn’t do anything cuter, you come out with these! they are absolutely fan-bloody-tastic!
such a creative little gem you are :)
OMG! Unbelievable! I have never seen anything like this! Really and truly amazing that you made those. I have obviously only just discovered your web site. Looking for the subscribe button now….
These are insane! BRILLIANT BAKERELLA!
I love these!!
I am going to attempt the sesame street cake pops for my son’s first birthday party……any suggestions on how to display them?
Also – when making the cake pops do you normally serve this only for dessert or do cupcakes/cake too? It will be a large party with many adults and kids…..
Thanks for any suggestions!!! You are SO creative!!
Brilliant, simply brilliant. Oh, I look up and see that someone has left the brilliant comment.
Ok, genious, simply genious!

I’m going to watch the movie this weekend with my family =D
I just made these and they came out amazing, I didnt have black covered sunflower seeds, so I used 2 bat sprinkles and they look perfect! Thanks for the Idea, too cute!!!
WOW! I just happened upon your website for the first time this morning. Most of my day has been consumed with drooling over my monitor and planning more tiny treats to create and occupy myself with. I already make cake balls, but never thought to make them into shapes or put them on sticks, I’m amazed. You are amazing, and this is definitely my new favorite site!
these are so amazing. captures the characters perfectly. i saw the movie the day it came out and i loved it.
i just can’t even believe the creativity of these cake pops. its just unbelievable!! keep em coming, i love your site :)
Saw it Saturday and loved the movie! Your cake pops are so amazing!!
These cakepops are just as delightful as the movie.
I know I’ve said this before…but I LOVE these!! My son is the hugest TS3 fan, and I have these bookmarked for his 3rd birthday party…although he is looking over my shoulder right now, demanding that we make them TODAY!!
Totally adorable! I’m going to see the movie tonight and am decked out in my 3-eyed alien necklace and earrings.
Now all I need are some cake pops to munch on during the show…

Oh my Gosh – these are unbelievable! My 3yr old walked in while I was admiring them and he was so excited! He said he wants Mr.Pig (that’s what he calls Hamm) with Buzz tags! Too bad he’s getting a Batman party!
Good lord! How long does it take you to make one batch of these? You must be the most calm and patient person… they’re perfect.
I don’t know what to say, you have outdone yourself again!!
Saw the movie yesterday, LOVED it and LOVE the cake pops! :)
ahaha! mr. potato head cracks me up! their expressions are classic!
I really want to see TS3, but I have abso-smurfa-lutely no time. It is all I can do to make dinner most nights.

Love the pops! too cute! we were also excited about the movie, and I shared my thoughts on it here:
Unbelievable! Your talent never ceases to amaze me and everyone else!!! You are truly gifted.
Seriously, you never cease to amaze me! I make these a lot, so I know how much work they are, and all I can say is YOU ROCK!
Where have I been this whole time????? My 6 year old found your website and mentioned we should try this out!
I looked at it and said OF COURSE! in no time. These are absolutely fabulous.
Master mind.. please help me list what the mustache, ears and eyes are… I am foreign so it is really hard to recognize all the candy. I really appreciate your help on this. I plan to prepare them next weekend at our toy story Party.
I can’t wait to see a Buzz and woody if you are on the works…
All I can say is that I AM A FAN!
WOW!!!! Bakerella…you are incredible! Be SO proud of yourself!
Are there butterscotch candy melts? My little guy would love these but he is severely allergic to peanut butter. His second birthday is coming up here in another month and I was thinking about doing a multitude of pops instead of one big cake. I’ll let you know how they turn out :-)
you are killing me bakerella!!!
I’ll die of cuteness overdoses
You never cease to amaze me!!!! These are incredible!
I. LOVE. THESE!!!!!!!
I think “WOW!” pretty much covers it! ; )
Bakerella, these are amazing!! I watched the movie last week, it was really funny! Something for the kids and the kid in all of us =)
These are far to cute! I’ll have to try make them!
ME!ME!ME! i am definitely going!
Those are so great!!! What did you use for the arms? They look like Popeye cigarettes, but bent!!?
How do you get the features to stick on?
SO STINKIN’ CUTE. I thought Hamm was great, but when I scrolled down to Senor Tater Head I just about lost it. You’re so creative!
I saw it Friday in 3-D! It was fantastic! :D I cried, lol.
Nancy #201 : LOL, ditto.
Saw the movie today with my kids – these pops are now on my “to try” list.
i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again…woman, you have mad skills! thanks for giving us the creative bug every week. i so look forward to your creations!
Would you like to be my next door neighbor and BFF? I got two kidneys, you can have one. (I have A+ blood.) Oh wait, we have no cool baking supply stores here, so we’d have to mail order everything. Darn. That might be a dealbreaker.
I saw the movie today! I loved it…Your cake pops are amazing. I can’t wait to see you versions of Woody and Buzz or Jessie…Come on. you know you can do it! Keep them coming.
Bakerella, YOU are the reason I keep going back to Michaels for MORE sprinkles. ;-)
