Cook for the Cure

KitchenAid launched 1,000 Cooks for the Cure today and I’m thinking pink! And raspberry, too! (Enter below for a chance to win this beautiful berry colored mixer.) But first let me tell you a little about 1,000 Cooks for the Cure and how you can host a party to help an amazing cause at the same time. KitchenAid in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure helps raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Their goal is to have 1,000 cooks host a party, potluck, bbq or any get-together large or small with friends or family anytime between July 18 and July 27. Cook for the Cure gives people with a passion for cooking a wonderful way to support a meaningful cause. Host an event and encourage guests to donate to Susan G. Komen® sometime during this week-long fun and fundraising initiative.

  3. This is a great idea! I would be baking my daughter’s 1st birthday cake with this mixer.

  4. I am thinking a end of summer/back to school(work) party for my fellow teachers would be the perfect way to end the summer. That adorable kitchen aid sure would make party prep a whole lot easier. And what would top the whole thing off? Starting to raise money for my next breast cancer walk while I am at it. The mixer would be a great conversation starter at the party!

  23. What a pretty mixer and what a great cause! My grandmother fought and beat breast cancer twice. When it came back a third time, though, she couldn’t fight it anymore. She was a brave and courageous woman who taught me how to deal with adversity. Thanks for doing the giveaway.

  29. Raspberry is stunning! As well as being my favourite fruit! I have them everyday on my porridge :) The cook for the cure sounds fantastic and I know how much these get together’s raise! I held a Great Pink Bake Off last year and raised £1000 towards cancer research. This year I am raising funds for Alzheimer’s society and walking 6 miles in memory of my grandma :)

  93. I was with my best friend through her double mastectomy…it was a difficult time for both of us. Baking has always been a good way to brighten a day, so that is what I did while she recuperated! How nice it would be to have this mixer and we could host a party to celebrate that she is now in good health and back to her knitting and making blankets for children with cancer:)

  185. For some reason my double chocolate chip cookies have been the one thing people in my life going through chemo can eat and still tastes good to them. I have, unfortunately, but with love, baked more of these cookies for my friends and family than I care to think about. Using this mixer to bake would be a constant reminder of those dearly loved with and no longer with us. I would be honored.
