We usually attend a Christmas Eve service at our church; then we drive around looking at Christmas lights. When we get home we have some hot chocolate, put cookies out for Santa, and the kids get to fall asleep by the fire.
I love all the holiday cake pops, but especially the jingle bell, it is SO cute! :)
Our Christmas Eve tradition is reading “T’was the Night Before Christmas” to the grandkids and opening up one present from under the tree. We always get new Christmas jammies too so the next morning we look good for pictures!
I love spendinf xmas eve with family. We either spend it here in Miami or up in North Carolina. We cook and bake ALOT……..
Christmas Eve is spent with my four Sons, three Daughter-in-laws, two Grandsons and one Granddaughter. Chili Dogs are one of the favorite meals we have while waiting for Santa.
For Christmas Eve my husband and I usually drive to Kansas City, MO and stay with our best friend. I make fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy for dinner when we get there. For dessert we chow down on cookies from our favorite French patisserie, which are picked up en route. The guys also sip on their favorite scotch, while I have extra chocolate and red wine.
If we’re snowed in at home, we light a fire, open some wine, and have a “carpet picnic” while the snow falls. For dessert I throw together some fresh baked cookies to feast on or make a bread pudding. The best part is snuggling with our kitties and watching Terry Pratchett’s “The Hogfather” on DvD.
My favorite part of holiday season is to spend time with family and friends, the weather! also the music. Everything is so nice! ;)
Growing up we always had our big dinner on Christmas Eve with lots of family and friends. That left Christmas day open for playing with presents and hanging out with no where to go and lots of leftovers for feasting!

We usually spend Chrisrmas Eve by going to church then enjoying a buffet of appetizers. My favorite part of the holidays is all the yummy baking. My kids are just now getting old enough to be interested in helping in the kitchen, so I plan to involve them as much as possible this year!! So excited :)

Those bell pops are awesome! We spend Christmas Eve at my husband’s Aunt and Uncle’s house to celebrate with his Dad’s side of the family.
What I love most about the holidays is spending time with my three boys ages 5, 3 and 2! We cook for our family and friends and do lots of crafting! We are starting the Elf on the Shelf tradition with an elf that I crocheted this year!
My favorite part of the holiday season is Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because I get to be with all of my family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews). Christmas Eve we all go to church and then spend the night having dinner and playing all kinds of crazy games!

Christmas Eve is spent at my dad’s house with the entire family. We have a pot luck dinner and open presents.

If my husband and I are celebrating with my side of the family – Christmas Eve is at my parents home and it is spent eating a German dinner, opening up gifts and then going to Midnight Mass. After mass, we have friends over for coffee & cake into the wee hours of the morning. If we are celebrating with my husbands side of the family – Christmas Eve is at his grandparents house where we feast on finger foods & snacks while playing games and waiting for Santa to arrive! :) My favorite part is family getting together and listening to Christmas music! :)
Christmas Eve is spent eating snacks (however, now that we live in civilization we may switch to Chinese take out!) so there therearen’t many dishes. A drive around town to check out Christmas decorations, followed by a movie and reading The Night Before Christmas and the Christmas story form the Bible. Everybody opens 1 gift……new pajamas! And then the kids go to bed, my husband watches A Christmas story and I pull an all nighter wraping & finishing up baking!
Our Christmas eve is usually spent keeping the dogs out of the presents. Which is usually very funny, but I have a couple of favorite parts to the holiday, wrapping and giving gifts and all of the lights. Our house is usually very, very, well lit up for Christmas.
My favorite part of the Holiday Season is how my family spreads cheer. Yep, as cheesy as that sounds, it’s the rock bottom truth. We do a Christmas Jar (random person wakes up with a jar full of change), Christmas Pickle (hidden on Christmas Eve, finder gets an extra present), Elf on the Shelf, community service projects, .. My favorite thing actually starts in November. Each day we do one SMALL thing for another person until Christmas. :)! That’s what Santa is, the Spirit of Giving. :)! Looking forward to making cakepops look like elves, santas and of course a Christmas Pickle or two…. To pass out to our friends! Even though it probably doesn’t have pickles, better get your book huh?! :)! Look forward to it!

I must say I love Chrismas from start to finish and in between . First of all I love it’s beautiful meaning . The birth of Jesus..I never tire of hearing that beautiful story.
And then I love family time and the excitement of children and Santa and stockings and the tree.
Now that our sons are grown and we are home alone, my retired husband has begun the sweetest tradition. As soon as the tree is up (yes this makes me get it up early!) he piles many small gifts under the tree..and they are all for me. Each day he will pick one to hand me as he brings me a cup of coffee. They are small but much needed items that we all use throughout the year ..maybe a tube of my favorite toothpaste, a new pen or pencil, simple but very thoughtful gestures of love that mean the world to me.
My favorite part about the holiday season is spending time with my family just because we rarely see each other nowadays.

We go to my Mother in laws for Christmas there and then we go to my grandparents in laws for Christmas there, we bring our kids pj’s with us, which of course the elf brought to them on his last day visiting us, and change the girls so when we get home they go straight to bed!

Church, food and movies on Christmas Eve
My family makes a large fondue dinner and we sit listening to Christmas Carols and eat lots of deliciousness… then we try to sneak some christmas cookies before we jump in bed and cover our heads.
We spend Christmas Eve with my parents. But when we get home my kids get to open the one gift they got from each other. They draw names and buy a gift. They also get new, freshly washed pajamas from mom and dad to wear to bed that night.
My favorite part of the holiday season is baking and crafting with my three sons! :) They are 5, 3, and almost 2 (on Saturday!) and they are amazing little helpers!
We spend Christmas Eve with family opening presents, followed by a wonderful Christmas Eve Candlelight Service @ church :)

On Christmas Eve our family has a huge get together at my grandmas house. There’s always lots of food and desserts! We exchange gifts and play games. It’s the one time a year that EVERYONE shows up!!
For the evening at home we always get Santas cookies ready, put on our nice cozy Christmas PJ’s, cuddle up by the fireplace and watch a Christmas movie!

Christmas eve is spent preparing for Santa’s arrival. During the day I prep some of my food items for Christmas day. Our family spends Christmas day at our house. Then I finish up my wrapping of gifts for the family. We then watch Christmas movies. Later in the evening my kids put out the milk and cookies for Santa to have. After the kids have fallen asleep Santa’s elves, mom & dad, spend the rest of the night wrapping and putting toys together. We then must eat the cookies and drink the milk to prove Santa was there.
My family and my best friend’s family have always gotten together and had Christmas eve dinner together, since our extended families don’t live in the U.S. I always look forward to getting together and eating all the delicious food with everyone – my best friend and I are the ones to take care of dessert :) (Last year I made persimmon pudding cake and vanilla (white) cake!)

After family dinners and celebrations, my husband and I love coming come, climbing into the attic to get “Santa’s wrapping paper,” and hiding in our room while we watch Anchorman, and wrap presents. We crack up and take the time together during the craziness of the holiday season. I love it.

We always had Christmas Eve at my mother’s family and Christmas day with my father’s family! My favorite part was always coming home after midnight and opening one gift from the folks or family before bed! :)
My favourite part of Christmas Eve is spending it with my family… we go to Midnight Mass and then eat a big ol’ ham. Once we are stuffed, we open presents. We’ve done this since I was little and still do it now that I am married.
We go to church (2 services) and then put out presents. Then we all go to sleep!!

I have a small little family and we celebrate with a festive dinner on Xmas eve and then the the grandkids open up presents from me….I love it!!!
Christmas Eve is spent with family eating great food and all the wonderful treats that we baked all the days prior. My family always plays the white elephant game and it’ll always funny to see people stealing each others gifts so that they get the ones that they want or end up with the ones that they don’t! For example, my dad ended up with candles last year! Lol! Also, , we always read the Polar Express! Last year we were fortunate enough to go to Arizona and ride the Polar Express to the North Pole with the kids! What a treat it was to see their faces when Santa came on the train and gave them a bell! This year we will be putting the bells on the tree and we will enjoy hearing the sweet sounds because we all BELIEVE!

i love this time of the year, on Xmas Eve go to church, then come home for hot cocoa and spend time either making a puzzle or playing games together.. we stay up late and at midnight we open presents….next day iwe have a special fam. dinner- that we have been preparing since after thanksgiving day..our special “pasteles” to be eaten Christmas day..(special type of meat pies) & also rice w/pigeon peas that i grow in my garden… in 2 days comes my birthday(28) but we just go ahead and celebrate it too.. ;). i love this season!! and i love cakepops too.. :).

We would open our presents to each other and eat homemade Christmas cookies. Once we heard the scout elf scurry down the chimney, we knew it was time to hurry off to bed before Santa got there.

Chistmas Eve is usually my travel day, but if I make it to my brother’s in time to eat we have lasagne and baked ziti and the adults exchange presents. (old tradition from when Christmas morning was reserved for Santa’s presents to my nephews)
This year will be our daughter’s 2nd Christmas, but she’ll only have recently turned a year old, so it kind of feels like her first. We don’t have a Christmas Even norm just yet. We plan on spending time at home. I’ll make a simple, but nice dinner. We plan on starting a Christmas Eve tradition with our daughter where she opens a gift that will have new pajamas and a book.

We go to Church Christmas eve then come home and put out our homemade treats for Santa. We all get in my oldest girls bed and read “Night before Christmas” to our little girls at bedtime. After that the hubster watches me wrap all the presents :)

Christmas Eve is spent with my dads side of the family. It used to be at my grandparents home, then when my grandpa died and my grandma had to move in with my aunt, my aunt took over the holiday. Now that my aunt has moved out of the state, I will take over the holiday. I would not know what to do with my day if I didn’t have my family to spend it with!!
We open our new jammies, the kids help finish the cookies and write a thank you card to Santa. We read The Polar Express and Twas The night before Christmas. After the kids are in bed, my husband and I finish wrapping while watching a movie and an adult beverage. Think Santa will get cakepops at our house again this year, he loved them last year.

growing up we had the whole family at our house for a fish dinner(Italian and catholic, it was a must). then when everyone left we would open our Christmas pajamas and go to bed. my favorite part of the holidays is the atmosphere; the smell in the air, the lights and decorations, an the general good mood people are in.
My Christmas Eve is spent with my mothers side of the family where we eat lots of good food, watch football, and play the dice game.
I am a nurse so I have spent many a Christmas Eve at work! However, the years I don’t have to work, we decorate sugar cookies, have hot chocolate, watch a Christmas show and read the story of Jesus’s birth from the book of Luke on the Bible. We also let the kids open one present…. It is usually a game that we can all play!
I love baking for the holidays of course! :) My son was super excited to get to help out last year by putting sprinkles and candies on our gingerbread cookies.
As a kid, I would also come up with an ornament idea every year and make a bunch as gifts. I loved tiny baskets, and one year I used my collection to make the ornaments (by filling them with bits of faux floral and tiny Christmas themed trinkets), it seemed like out of the different ones I did, that was the notable favorite. Last year I helped my some make some ornaments to give using cinnamon dough and sparkles.
He was really happy to have presents to give, and I think that is a valuable lesson in its self: it feels good to give.
We have holiday jammies, something freshly baked (liked cookies) and homemade marshmallows and cocoa. We also usually watch a holiday movie. It is one of my favorite days because I know that the kids will wake up in the morning and be so surprised! The anticipation is wonderful!

Christmas Eve the past 8 years or so has been spent with my Sister-in-Law. Her birthday is actually Dec 24th. I love how much effort my family-in-laws put into making it a special BIRTHday. They wrap everything in birthday paper with birthday balloons and birthday cake. They’ve always made sure to not skimp on her birthday just because it is SO close to Christmas. I love seeing that side of my new family.

I must admit that I’ve already purchased your “Cake Pops Holidays” book, but would love to have one signed by you :) Christmas Eve is a very difficult evening for us, as my grandfather passed away Christmas Eve of 1984. In tribute to him, we still make and serve the “Bourbon Frozen Pudding” that he so dearly loved.
We have an early christmas gift under the tree which we open up. It’s usually a game or something that the whole family can enjoy! It’s a low key, family night in with dinner and movies and games!
We have dinner at my parents, lots of fun finger foods then take our plates and sit around the fire and open presents from family. :)
My family owns several banks in a rural area…on Christmas Eve my grandparents host a huge party at the main bank that the whole town is invited to! It’s so fun :) later we open stockings and just hang out…and eat of course :)
Christmas Eve is my Grandma’s birthday, and ever since I was a little kid, we’d go to her house after church and we’d have Chicken Noodle Soup and Summer Sausage sandwiches. My husband and kids are now part of the tradition.

We are hispanic so we tend to celebrate big on Christmas Eve. We ave a full party with Ham and Pork and very often rice an beans. Lots of fun dancing and playing games. We love it at this time of the year.
On Christmas Eve we pop popcorn make hot chocolate open our christmas PJ’s (tradition) put them on and drive around town signing caroles and enjoying the lights. Then once home we get the the cookies and milk and carrots together for santa and the reindeers, the lil ones go off to bed while we assemble the bounty of gifts ……..
On Christmas Eve we have dinner and exchange Secret Santa gifts with our extended family. Before bed, the kids open one present, which is always new pajamas. That way they have nice, new pajamas to wake up in on Christmas morning and for my Christmas morning pictures!

Christmas Eve in my family has always been somewhat quiet. We don’t do presents early except for our Christmas pajamas. it’s become a necessity. even though I’m an adult I ask my mom for Christmas pajamas. :) …my favorite part of the holiday has always been the atmosphere. the smell in the air, the lights, the general happiness. but my new favorite part of the holidays are a tradition I started with my nieces of baking together.
My family and I usually spend Christmas Eve at my Grandmother’s house. We usually do our gift exchange with all the adults and let all the kids open one gift. We play lots of games and help my Grandmother with the last of the baking and Christmas dinner!

The evening we always give our kids 1 present, and it’s always pj’s, that they wear that night. And then we get the plate ready for Santa, write him a letter and once the kids are in bed, my husband and I like to watch Christmas Vacation!
I love the smells of Christmas…that is my favorite part of the Holiday. I can’t wait until the day after Thanksgiving to finally get to enjoy them all again!

Since my hubby is in the Army we are far away from our family almost every Christmas but when that happen we try to have a family dinner and Skype our family back home on Christmas eve in the afternoon and then have some drinks and spend some times with our “Army family”…
Christmas Eve is full of family and PJs!!! Plus, each year my mom would give “code” names for each kid that she would put on the presents so we couldn’t figure out which presents belonged to each kid. At our family Christmas Eve dinner, she would tell each of us what our code name was! Best part? She would always forget which name belongs to who. :)
My favorite part of Christmas is spending it with my family. My father was in the navy when I was younger so having Christmas on the 25th is really special to me and now that he has cancer we make every Christmas to remember.
Christmas Eve in my family it filled with our (family) tradition. Then we open the presents and have some linden tea with rhum and lots of home-made cookies. Usually we listen to Christmas songs or watch Christmas mass on TV as it’s way too crowdy in the church that night :)
Then we go to sleep and wake up on Christmas day which is usually extremelly busy for me as I make lunch for the family. But it’s fun :D

My family and I spend Christmas eve by making homemade custard filled donuts and cookies for santa. After all the mess is cleaned up we all open up our Christmas jammies and put them on. We spend the rest of Christmas eve in our jammies and all day on Christmas too. I love this time of year with the cold weather and all of our awesome family traditions
Christmas Eve is a big deal at our house! We all go up to my mothers house, 4 of us, (plus spouses), and between the 4 of us, we have 14 children! :) So 24 of us pack in my mothers house and have a feast! Squash soup, shrimp cocktail, prime rib, mashed potatoes, salad, broccoli, ect… then dessert!!! We then hand out presents from our secret Santa and the place goes wild! All the kids range from 20 down to 1 year, (twins born Dec., 2011!). I can not tell you how much our family looks forward to this each year.
Christmas Eve is The Feast of the Seven Fishes for this Italian family! After our seafood dinner, our neighbors all come over and we open gifts with their kids. We’ve done this for years!
We spend Xmas Eve on the go! First to candlelight service, then we go home, get our dogs and load the car up with candy canes to drive by Christmas Light Displays. Then it’s back home where Mama and I will stay up late making sugar cookies and decorating them for ‘Santa.’
This will be my first Christmas married – so I’m excited to see what new traditions are started now that my family is bigger!
I usually spend Christmas Eve roasting a pig with my family!
My favorite part of the Christmas season is the music. Sure you can listen to it all year long, but it’s just not the same!
I am the mother of 7 sons ages 5 to 21. Every Christmas Eve is spent together baking cookies and casseroles and candies to carry to our traditional Christmas Eve night with my brother Charles and his family.
This year I am so happy to be sharing Christmas not only with my sons and brother and family, but also with my husband Andy. We were married this year and he is my dearest friend and the love of my life. He came into our lives and took on this enormous brood of boys and ME, and never batted an eye. He had no children before, but now his cup runneth over. :)
He takes such wonderful care of us and while we have had a challenging year with constant outside obstacles his faith in us and our family has never wavered. I am overjoyed and beyond blessed this Christmas!
On Christmas Eve, We laugh and tell stories and have tons of wonderful homemade food. It is the highlight of my year, and epitomizes what the entire year is about. Family, love, and sharing.
Additionally…. On Christmas Eve, the magic of Christmas is in full, radiant bloom and nothing on earth can surpass or capture all the wonderful things wrapped up in the blessings of the night.
We have had fruitful Christmases and slim Christmases but never, ever has the spirit of Christmas wavered. <3

We do the whole Elf On A Shelf thing and go to church every Christmas Eve(the elf’s last night in our home) as the kiddos are getting put in the car, daddy or I put away the elf for the year, leave 2 presents( p.j’s) for the kiddos, a goodbye letter from our elf and all the fixings for hot cocoa.
When we get home from church our kiddos read the letter and open/put on the p.j’s, while I make the hot cocoa. Then we read “Twas The Night Before Christmas” sprinkle “reindeer food” out in the yard and set out cookies for Santa.
Hopefully this will be something we will continue to do even when we have grandchildren.
I love just being with my family and celebrating the birth of Jesus!
My favourite part of the holiday season is baking with my little sister. Each year we find a new recipe and add it to our homemade “Christmas Baking Recipes” binder I started MANY years ago. My plan is to get this binder copied for my sister when she decides to get married so that we can both keep a copy and add to it each year and one day share it with our children.
My favorite part of christmas is sitting around the christmas tree on christmas morning with my family. It’s one of the few times a year that we are all together so we treasure this time. Hope you have a wondeful christmas this year with your family :)

We spend Christmas Eve at my sisters home. We have dinner and exchange a few gifts. The kids all get in their Christmas PJs and we read ‘The Night Before Christmas’ before we all go home to see if Santa has visited us yet!!
My husband and I live with our two year old 300 miles away from home. What’s lucky is that our parents only live 20 mins apart. Because we stay with my parents we have Christmas morning there, so we spend Christmas Eve with my in-laws extending their traditions for our daughter. My MIL (an amazing Italian chef!) serves us all a fabulous meal; then my FIL takes us for hot chocolates and to see the houses all decorated and we listen to the holiday radio station. It’s always such a fun night filled with the best parts of Christmas and I look forward to it every year.
My favorite part of the Holidays is that every year I get experience the story of Jesus through the eyes of my babies. (Sappy but that is how I roll.)
I work retail so holidays are an exhausting time. It makes me really appreciate what is special about the holiday. Spending time with friends and family and creating memories for my nephews. Every year we get together and make cookies and Christmas ornaments. The little guys love it and the next year and years to come those memories come back when we pull out the Christmas ornaments and find what we made the previous years.
We spend Christmas Eve in the kitchen with family. It’s when we have our big Christmas dinner. Afterwards, we settle in to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas with the kids.
Christmas Eve at my house is spent eating a special dinner, opening a new pair of pajamas, putting out milk and cookies for Santa and taking Christmas Eve pictures in front of the Christmas tree.
Every christmas eve my parents give us pjs so we have new ones to wear on christmas morning :)

We always spend Christmas Eve at my FIL’s house…dinner and gifts. When we return home, the girls get ready for bed and find that Ms. Claus has left a wrapped gift on their pillows…new pajamas! We usually let the girls open one gift from us right before bed. Once they are alseep, the madness begins as we tranform our house into something magical so that when they wake up Christmas morning, it’s a moment they won’t ever forget.
I LOVE everything about Christmas!! Spending time with my precious family is my favorite :)
Christmas Eve is spent with my side of the family. We Mexicans love ChristmS Eve. We cook tamales, make atole to drink and bunelos as dessert. We dance , drink and get very Merry!! The kids open their presents at midnight after the traditional hugs and kisses to everyone. Then the house becomes a mad house as all the kids rip open the presents. The next morning my kids wake up to more presents.
My favorite part about Christmas is a toss up between the Christmas carols and buying gifts for my family members. I love trying to find the perfect gift for each person, so much so that I sometimes start in October! And there’s just a lot of great music around Christmas.
Unfortunately Christmas Eve is usually spent traveling, but if I do arrive early enough for dinner we eat lasagna and baked ziti and open presents between the adults. (So Christmas morning is all about Santa!)
We spend Christmas at my parents, and on Christmas Eve we put on our snuggly Christmas jammies and drive the kids around to look at the lights. We usually have hot cocoa and candy canes to snack on while we are out driving around. Then we head back to the house to watch a holiday movie together and set out cookies and milk for Santa before tucking the kids into bed and reading Twas the Night Before Christmas!
Several years ago my family started having a big Christmas eve feast. It’s prime rib instead of the traditional turkey + ham, which is still served for Christmas dinner. It’s decadent, but a great way to gather family to settle in for the night.
We spend time at my in-laws during the day and my grandparent’s house for dinner. Open up Christmas pjs before bed!
Christmas Eve is starts with church in the evening, then over to my parents for dinner.We also have birthday cake or cupcakes at my parents and sing, Happy Birthday and then open gifts. Once we get home, I read Polar Express and The Night Before Christmas to my girls.
Ohhhh I love christmas…. I love to see the decorations at night, stroll through the shops in the town center… We usually have a potluck get-together with friends (Since my family is in India)… And the night usually goes with games, food, chit chatting, music, moveis and wat not…. Cant wait to receive your giveaways and start baking the holiday cake pops :)
Christmas Eve is the night that we actually have our big dinner. So, we spend most of the day in the kitchen with family. Then, stay up to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas with the kids!
My favorite part of the holiday season is getting to be with my family and watching my kids play with their cousins. I also love watching the kids leave Santa’s reindeer food out in the snow on Christmas Eve :)
My whole extended family gets together Christmas Eve for snacks and appetizers. It is totally informal, but so much fun. We also do a gift exchange (the kind where you get to steal someone else’s gift)! I think everyone in the family collects recipes all year for this one night. It is so fun just to be together…
My favorite part about Christmas is all the cookies! My wife usually makes at least 10 different kinds each year. They’re all so delicious!

The heat from the candles makes the nativity spin around. It’s been in the family forever! Anyway, we all gather around drinking hot chocolate and read Christmas stories by candle light. Our favorite is a very old story called “Why the Chimes Rang” My great great Grandma used to read it to her kids and the tradition still lives on.
I usually have dinner at my in laws’ house and the next day we have lunch with my family at my home.
That way we can see everybody. We go to Church also and celebrate our Savior’s birth.
My favorite part of the holiday season is watching children when they get to see Santa. The mezmorizing look on their faces, truly priceless. This year we are starting a new tradition with our little new family to bake fresh cookies and reindeer treats for Santa and his team then read the Night Before Christmas.

We spend Christmas eve lunch wtih my husband’s family and then have a relaxing dinner at home with just us. We read The Night Before Christmas and send giggly kids to bed early! My favorite night!
We always spend Christmas with family in Macon, GA so we all get together on Christmas Eve for BBQ pork and brunswick stew. It’s always delicious!
My favorite part of the holidays is the time I spent with my loved ones. Also baking cookies and different desserts for friends and family. And Egg nog sooooo delish!!!!!!!
I work every Christmas day, since I am a nurse, so I spend Christmas Eve with my family having dinner and sharing fun times.
I love going to the candle light service at our church. It’s beautiful!
After we light luminaries up & down the street, we have eggnog, go carolling & adults exchange gifts
We always spend Christmas Eve with my husband’s family and do a full Christmas then, because we travel 4 hours away to my family’s house on actual Christmas. It’s so fun to spend two Christmases with both of my amazing families. I always make white chocolate cranberry cookies, gingerbread cupcakes and pumpkin cheesecake and eating all the delicious food with wonderful family is definitely what I love most about Christmas!
My favorite part is the Christmas music….gets everyone in a great mood and ready to celebrate the season!

We spend the Christmas Eve together as a family. The tradition in the house is that one gift may be selected for opening. Best Christmas Eve ever? When I surprised my Mom (who is now passed) by showing up at her church for the midnight Christmas Eve service. When she turned to light her candle with a neighbor – it was me! I drove all day to do it but the scream of joy (everyone looked, laughed, and clapped) was well worth it :)
We buy a new keepsake ornament for our kids every year. It’s something that really represents something about them individually for the past year. We also do the Christmas Eve Jammie tradition, as well as read the night before Christmas before bed. My kids then sprinkle the yard with reindeer food, leave Santa his cookies (and a few carrots for the reindeer) and go to bed. I love this season and my 3 year old LOVES to make cake pops!
My favorite part of the holidays has always been spending time with my family. I love shopping to try to find just the right gifts for everyone, and then seeing them open their gifts on Christmas Day. Baking with my sister-in-law, taking my nephew somewhere fun for the day, and getting to see my adult nieces with their husbands always makes the holidays special.
My daughters are 22 and 24 years old. Only one lives at home but we still carry on the same traditions. My oldest comes home and stays the night. They open 1 gift and its always the same their Christmas pajamas. I have used the same special gift bags for the pjs since they were toddlers!!! Instead of a dinner we have lots of hors d’oeuvers, listen to Christmas carols and and finish the tree by hanging our personalized ornaments!

I love to sit in the living room and stare at the Christmas tree. It’s the same tree every year, but I never get tired of looking at it.
I spend my Christmas Eve (literally the entire day) baking tons & tons of goodies to box up and deliver to my loved ones on Christmas day. It has become quite the tradition and my family members look forward to seeing what I make each year. I’m already counting the days until Dec. 24th :)

I spend Christmas Eve with my family. I cook a nice dinner for everyone, everyone complains they eat too much, then we go stuff ourselves more with desserts. It’s pretty fun. :) Then late that night we exchange gifts. It’s a wonderful day spent with the people I love.
My mom and I usually spend it with my brother and our grandma and aunts and cousins. But though it sounds like a big family we are a small one, especially since my uncle and grandpa passed away…
Anyway! we younger cousins (and me being the only girl!!) spend it about trying to play videogames, but the adults never let us since they talk too loud, hahaha x).

Christmas eve is quiet time for my husband & I and our 2 kids. Christmas is always tough for my son to get through so we try to keep it low key the night before!
I spend every Christmas Eve with my entire family (extended and all) at Gramma’s house. It’s a sweet family tradition for us to meet up for the evening and catch up on what everyone’s been up to. My favorite part of the holiday is seeing Gram light up when all of her family is in one place – it makes her so so happy!
My favorite part of the holiday season is attended our local holiday events. Love seeing the look on my kids faces when Santa arrives on the fire engine. after that we enjoy hot chocolate and smores!

For Christmas Eve, we do the “feast of the seven fishes” and it’s just plate after plate of delicious seafood!
On Christmas Eve we always make a dinner of finger foods to eat while we open gifts (we always open on Christmas Eve to leave room for Santas gift) then we watch one of the new movies someone got in our new PJs!
We always go over to my in laws on Christmas Eve for lunch/dinner and opening of presents. Once we leave there we ride around looking at Christmas lights on the way home. Once we get home we gather around for family time listening to Christmas music and reading Christmas books or we may watch a Christmas movie while enjoying a cup of hot cocoa and some homemade candies or cookies. At this time we also open up a present that is tradition to my family. Everyone gets new pjs and slippers. Usually try to coordinate to winter or Christmas designs. The last year I got everyone Matching pjs. Even mom and dad. :) Then always take pictures in front of the tree in our new pjs before bed. Love Christmas time!!
