Pantastic!

I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.

I love this store.

PANS

The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.

But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.

Loaf Pans

There are loaf pans…

Bread Pans

… not to be confused with bread pans.

Bundt Pans

Bundt-style pans in various designs.

Angel Food Cake Pans

Angel food cake pans.

Tartlet Pans

Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s… they even have a cute name.)

Doughnut Pans

Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.

Square Muffin Pans

How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.

Small Graduated Pans

But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.

Graduated Pans

And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.

Heart Pans

But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.

Teddy Bear Pans

But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.

Shaped Pans

What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?

Ice Cream Cone Pan

Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!

Mini Pans

Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!

Cookie Sheet Pans

What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.

Number Pan

And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.

If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.
And, now for some fun.

It’s a Pick a Pan Giveaway!
  • Enter for a chance to win the pan of your choice.
  • Just leave a comment on this post and pick out the kind of pan you want from any of the above. That’s right. You get to pick. Need some jumbo-size muffin pans? Want to try out a set of graduated pans? Hearts? Hexagons? Or maybe you just need some plain old cupcake pans. I know, you really want an assortment of teeny-tiny pans.
  • Well, if you win, I’ll get it for you, or as many as I can get for you with a $50 bill. Sound like fun?
  • Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email)
  • Deadline to enter is Tuesday, July 14th at 5 p.m. TIME’S UP! WINNER ANNOUNCED BELOW. (recorded by the time stamp of your comment) The winner will be announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.

* One winner will be chosen using the Random.org integer generator.

Good luck!

Man… you guys like pans! I didn’t think this giveaway would be that fun because it was so, well, so gray. But, I’m glad you had fun entering. Now for the winner…

Congrats Melissa! You’re definitely getting a set of graduated pans. YAY! And I’ll try to throw in a square muffin pan for you, too. I’ll see how far $50 goes.

  62. oh man your blog always gets me super excited to bake!! i guess that is the idea eh?? I am in LOVE with those teensy tiny pans (i'm obsessed with anything miniature!!) or some graduated pans….how would you choose???

    jennieholt4@gmail.com

    scotishang@yahoo.com

  64. How could I ever choose? I would probably want something impractical, like the ice cream cupcake pans. Although I could really use a good set of regular, standard shape and size pans, like circles and rectangles.

    johnandjenbradshaw@msn.com

  65. I'm loving the small graduated cake pans that you were holding!! Something with the small size makes decorating a little bit more managable!
    Linda Nguyen

  66. That is quite the cake pan aisle! I would totally love the donut pan because I'd much rather bake than fry my donuts! Thanks Bakerella, for another awesome giveaway! :)

    seanik at gmail dot com

  67. What an amazing load of pans!!

  68. Such a hard choice. I would just start drooling and want one of each. I think I would choice some round pans in different sizes would be wonderful, maybe a heart or two.

  69. I would love your basic bundt pan!! I miss the one I left behind in the states!

  70. Oh I would love the ice cream cupcake pan! My kids would think I'm the best mom ever if I could make them some of those, lol! Thanks for the chance at winning one of these great pans!

  71. I love pans! specially the square muffin pan, thats the first time ive seen a square muffin pan :)

  72. How on earth would you choose in this shop??? I think I would have to build bigger kitchen cupboards to store them!! Think my choice would have to be the ones to move around to make little letters, the fun I could have with that!!! followed closely by the icecream moulds – how cute are they???

  73. Oh. My. Goodness. I could spend hours in a store like that, and leave with a significantly lighter wallet :( But…if you're gonna buy, Bakerella, I would really REALLY love some new cookie sheets! For all the rolled and decorated sugar cookies I plan to make for football season, Autumn, Halloween, Christmas, etc. :D

  74. The itty bitty teeny weeny baby size pans. You didn't show springform pans – they are bound to have them. My choice would be small springforms.

    sandy.morris@cox.net

  75. ooohhh pans… i could wander through that store for hours.

there are about a million tarts ive been wanting to make, but im without a tart pan… normal or cute-and-mini. :)

  76. I love the graduated size ones–also, would love a springform pan for cheesecakes, and those itty bitty ones are the cutest! I would take them all!

  77. I still haven't found a supply store like yours where I'm from! I'm so jealous!

I'd love to get my hands on some simple graduated cake pans, so I can work on some tiered cakes!

  78. Interesting — I just decided I need to buy a new set of 8" round cake pans…and now here you are with this great offer! Probably also some graduated ones after the matching set too. Hmmmm — now I'm off to make a cake (in a 9 X 13 inch pan I guess.)

  79. Hmmm…well I really do like that one with the little squares. Nice!

    Beth
    Lucysky01@yahoo.com

  80. I have a knack for tiny little versions of things, so I think I would go for the itsy bitsy teeny weeny pans, in all shapes and sizes…they look absolutely adorable!!

  81. Yay! I like tiny baby pans!

  82. I have never seen a store like this!!! OMG How cool. I would love a tartlet pan!! Thank you for the chance. :-)

  83. What a dreamland! Makes me realize that I need a good bundt pan… I keep putting off recipes because I don't have one…

  84. Oh man! So jealous, wish we had a store like that around here…
Anyways, I would adore a set of graduated square cake pans :3

  85. I wish I lived near that store (or any good baking supply store for that matter!) If I did live near that store (or win your contest), I would love a variety of different shaped cake pans, teeny tiny cake pans would be awesome as well.

  86. I am in BAKING HEAVEN!!! My family will think I have lost my mind, but I am considering planning a family vacation to this store! All of the cake/candy places around me have closed down for lack of business. *sob!* I can think of sooo many things to do with that square pan…the one for making square muffins, etc. I was thinking lots of brownies where EVERYONE gets the yummy crusty sides. Or some cool rainbow cupcakes in square shapes. Or some fabulous individual cheesecakes…white chocolate raspberry of course! Or some tiny little breads to serve with dinner. Ooh, or what about frosting or fondant covered mini cakes made to look like presents? That would be GREAT for Christmas time! Geez, I am drooling just at the thought of what I could do with that pan! LOL! Of course a really nice cookie sheet would be awesome too. I only ever bought myself ONE really nice cookie sheet, ever. Couldn't stand the price but I LOVED it! Baked perfectly, cooled to the touch almost instantly, and nothing stuck. Well, Hubby-dearest decided to use THAT PAN, not the 15 others I have, THAT ONE PAN to make burnt garlic break, pizza rolls, and who knows what else. Now the pan is a greasy (no amount of scrubbing has helped), hideous shell of it's former glorious cooking self. A fancy new cookie sheet would mean I don't have to get the overwhelming desire to use my messed up cookie sheet to dig his grave with every time I need to bake cookies!

  87. I would absolutely love the graduated cake pans!!

  88. I love love love the little graduated circle pans! I've been wanting to make a graduated cake for months now! <3

  89. I would LOVE to win one [or some :) ] of the small, baby-sized pans! I love to bake! Unfortunately, though, I haven't had much time recently since I'm starting college in the fall! I think the baby sized pans would be perfect for that, huh… considering I'll be sharing a kitchen with 10 other girls? :D

    mellie6374@yahoo.com

  90. I think I could spend hours in that store! The tiny pans are so cute! I would pick regular sized round and square pans though, because I just got my own place and still don't have pans to bake in!

  91. I would love a set of graduated pans and a jelly roll pan for when I make pioneer woman's chocolate sheet cake!

  92. I love the tiny pans!! I think my kids would like the ice cream cupcakes though.

I love your blog, thanks so much for your creativity!

  93. I would love a set of tiny cake pans! So cute and fun!

    jeniseitz@comcast.net

  94. We need this store in Tallahassee! I just made an order to them before I even realized you were doing a giveaway. Although my order was stuff for making chocolate candies for a surprise party I'm throwing (Harry Potter themed!)!

But if I had to choose…OOOH I know! I need a Bundt pan because I don't have one. Ooh…I also like the pretty shiny sheet cake pans…2" deep…probably a standard 9×13 would be good…pretttty

  95. I love love LOVE the idea of that last pan that you can move around to make things! That sounds like too much fun! The little mini ones are adorable too. Imagine the possibilities!

  96. I would be torn between the tartlett pans (which I'm pretty sure I misspelled) and the square muffins – both look like so much fun!

  97. Wow those pans are all great. I love those tiny pans, but then again I love them all as well. lol. I have 4 sizes of cupcake pans already. Can you tell I love to make cupcakes?
The next thing I want to learn is how to make buttercream frosting.
    Have a great day.

  144. We have an 11th birthday in our family tomorrow and I wish I had some of these pans for that, but I will take cake pans ANYtime!

  145. I have never seen the Wilton Ice Cream Cone Cupcake Pan! I want that! Also any of the little ones are cool, because who doesn't like mini versions of anything!

  146. I wish I had such an awesome store by me. What a generous giveaway too!

  147. I like the pan with all the little squares. That looks fun! I also love the round ones, with all the different sizes.

  148. I would love to have a set of the graduated round pans or a tartlet pan! The doughnut pan looks like a lot of fun too, though!

  149. I need more time to bake! :) I love the mini-angel food cake tube pans!

  150. OK, that square muffin-like pan is pretty cool. I bet it would make the best little square layered cakes…

  151. I would love to have a set of the graduated round pans, or a tartlet pan. Although, the doughnut pan looks like a lot of fun too!

  152. I would love the mini pans, but seriously can you bake in them?

I also love the ice-cream cone cupcake bottoms.

  153. Those are some wild pans! I would definitely pick the ice cream cone pan – to celebrate my oldest daughter's very first job in an ice cream shoppe :)

  154. I would so love an assortment of the itty bitty cake pans. My two year old daughter loves to help me bake and would think they were awesome!!!

  155. I love any or all of of those mini-pans!! Too cute!!

  156. WOW! What an AMAZING pan isle! Oh I would die for some of those mini pans! They are so cute!
So many mini cakes could be made…
    Allie

  157. That is a lot of pans!! I would love the ice cream cupcake pan! Those would be too cute!

  158. That is the store of stores! Wow! I have just recently gotten into baking and am pining for a set of graduated pans, and also a set of pans to make topsy turvy cakes. I think graduated square pans make such elegant looking cakes and haven't yet decided whether I like those or round ones better.

Love your site, btw. I always learn something here, and it is a great place to go on a particularly bummer day because it is guaranteed to make me smile!

  159. i like the pans where they come in disserent shapes you you can decorate the cake to look like hte picture.

  160. It's definitely possible to have way too much fun with all those pan options…

  161. I just love all these pans! I love the little bitty pans and the smaller sized round pans in the set that you showed. I want to go shopping at the Cake Store, but I'm afraid I'll break the bank or my credit cards.

  162. Oh gosh to choose one pan…I need a tart pan with a removable bottom (and little tartlettes to go with it) or a Gugelhopf pan (like a bundt pan only taller and skinnier) or some graduated round pans, or graduated square pans…anything like that!! You are so nice to share being able to shop at a place like that with all of us! I've looked through the website, but I'm sure it's nothing like being there!! And next time I'm close…I will go there. It looks so cool in your pictures! Thanks!

  163. I love the square muffin tins, I would use them to make all edge brownies! even better than the all edge brownie pan.

  164. Oh…to live by a store like that! I could spend days wandering the aisles, planning my next baking party! Those aisles go forever!!!

  165. I just love all these pans! I love the little bitty pans and the smaller sized round pans in the set that you showed. I want to go shopping at the Cake Store, but I'm afraid I'll break the bank or my credit cards.

  166. That is a REALLY hard choice. I think I would want a donut pan or a madeline pan or maybe some of those mini pans.

  167. OH WOW!! I would be in heaven in a store like that!! I would love to have a set of square graduated pans! i just recently started to bake and have yet to buy any of those!

  168. Would love to win these. Keep me in mind when drawing names Please
    and thank you.
    Blessings

  169. Good thing I don't live close to this store. I could get lost in the itty bitty pans.

    Debra

  170. Would love to win these. Keep me in mind when drawing names Please
    and thank you.

  171. I would love a set of square graduated pans!! I love square square square!

  172. i would loooove a set of muffin pans- mini, jumbo, even a regular sized one. since your las post about retro bakery, all i want is cupcakes!

  173. I love the idea of the square muffin pan, but the ice cream pans are really cute too!! I wish I lived in a place that had stores like this.

  174. my email is smfitzhugh@yahoo.com for the above comment!

  175. i think i'd love to have a pan shaped like a baby bottle (for baby shower cakes) and maybe the teeny tiny pans too :D not to be too needy!

  176. Oh how I wish I lived near this store…it is awesome. On second thought, maybe it's best that I live on the other side of the country from it!! I would love the ice cream-shaped cupcake pans!!

  177. I'd LOVE those teeny tiny pans in different shapes…so cut!

    Summer

  178. Hmm… the choices, the choices! It's kind of a toss up for me between the graduated circular cake pans (I could definitely use a couple more different sizes), or the cute ice cream cupcake pan!!! Okay, okay, cupcake pan!

  179. I love all the fun pans! I think the one that you can make letters and numbers out of is pretty cool!

  180. I hope this isn't a repeat–I promise I'm not trying to cheat. My comment didn't show up.

Neat store–I was looking at the bags and foil wrappers. If I won, I'd want a plain ol' scalloped-edge tart pan (with removable bottom) or a few bread pans. I'm getting into baking bread more often and one pan is not enough!

  181. How fun is that?! I've never seen so many pans in my life! If I had gone, I definitely would have stocked up on some of those teeny weeny cake pans. Baking a whole cake for just the two of us means FAR too much cake makes it to my "muffin top". I'd love to split a batter batch into multiple mini cakes and spread some of the love (and calories) around!!

  182. There are so many I can't pick.

If I win I guess I will decide then.

    jdwaldram@msn.com

  183. I'm looking for jumbo sized muffin pans! Not that I need to be consuming jumbo sized muffins… but still…

  184. Oooh I love those square ones. Adorable!

  185. Listen lady, you have really got to stop being so awesome. I mean honestly, you are setting way to lofty a goal for us regular folks!

I'll take a nice set of graduated pans please.

  186. I don't believe it! I'll have to see it for myself. Im going there this week. I'll have to buy the smaller graduated ones if I don't win.

  187. I'd be down with a graduated set. Sounds kind of scholarly. :)

  188. To have to choose from all of those is too hard! But I think I would go for a angelfood or bundt pan.

  189. Hmmm… I think a variety would be fun! Maybe a tartlet pan, cupcake/muffin tins, and some bread or loaf pans. Oh the damage that could be done in that store! Thanks for sharing!

  190. OOoohhhh

i've never been to a specialty store like that, but i bet it's an even bigger feeling than how happy i get when i see all the stuff in the baking section of williams-sonoma or michaels

surprise me! i'd love to receive anything you pick out. i do like surprises

  191. Oh my if I lived near that store I would be a very poor woman! :) I love the teeny tiny pans! So adorable.

  192. OOoohhhh

  193. I would love to have a set of graduated round or square pans. Oh the cakes I would make :)

    kinipela_j@yahoo.com

  194. It would be great to have the circle or square wedding cake pans of various sizes. The heart pans and mini pans are great too! I wish there was a store like that near me, I'd be there weekly.

email me when i win!: letseatyogurt@yahoo.com

  195. OMG! How cute would those itty bitty teeny tiny cute pans be for a toddler birthday! My mind is racing with ideas! Thanks for your inspiration and candor!

  196. So many cute pans! I would love the square one — so many uses!

  197. Wow! That is a lot of pans! I would love the larger pan that you can move the blocks around to make numbers and letters. My son turns 1 in January and that would be too cute! I could make him a number cake each year! Thank you for all the fun ideas!

  198. I'll wait to see if I am picked before I get excited about picking out a couple of pans.

  199. I am so in envy of you – I want to go spend hours in that place! Since I can't, I'd love some square graduated pans :)

  200. Ooh! I'd love to have the ice-cream cupcake pans. Or an assortment of teeny pans which I could use to make pseudo-cupcakes. It seems like you're eating so much less with a cupcake. Or three.
