Pantastic!

I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.

I love this store.

PANS

The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.

But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.

Loaf Pans

There are loaf pans…

Bread Pans

… not to be confused with bread pans.

Bundt Pans

Bundt-style pans in various designs.

Angel Food Cake Pans

Angel food cake pans.

Tartlet Pans

Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s… they even have a cute name.)

Doughnut Pans

Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.

Square Muffin Pans

How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.

Small Graduated Pans

But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.

Graduated Pans

And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.

Heart Pans

But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.

Teddy Bear Pans

But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.

Shaped Pans

What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?

Ice Cream Cone Pan

Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!

Mini Pans

Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!

Cookie Sheet Pans

What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.

Number Pan

And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.

If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.
And, now for some fun.

It’s a Pick a Pan Giveaway!
  • Enter for a chance to win the pan of your choice.
  • Just leave a comment on this post and pick out the kind of pan you want from any of the above. That’s right. You get to pick. Need some jumbo-size muffin pans? Want to try out a set of graduated pans? Hearts? Hexagons? Or maybe you just need some plain old cupcake pans. I know, you really want an assortment of teeny-tiny pans.
  • Well, if you win, I’ll get it for you, or as many as I can get for you with a $50 bill. Sound like fun?
  • Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email)
  • Deadline to enter is Tuesday, July 14th at 5 p.m. TIME’S UP! WINNER ANNOUNCED BELOW. (recorded by the time stamp of your comment) The winner will be announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.

* One winner will be chosen using the Random.org integer generator.

Good luck!

Man… you guys like pans! I didn’t think this giveaway would be that fun because it was so, well, so gray. But, I’m glad you had fun entering. Now for the winner…

Congrats Melissa! You’re definitely getting a set of graduated pans. YAY! And I’ll try to throw in a square muffin pan for you, too. I’ll see how far $50 goes.

  1. I would be torn between a Bundt and Angel food cake pans. I think I would have to choose a Bundt pan as I have been saying I would get one the next time, and the time before that and the time before that. As to design… I am fond of surprises.

  2. LOVE LOVE all these pans. I think the number pan is my fav, the mini one that is in the last pic. But honestly those graduated pans are so wonderful too, choices? UGH

    Pans galore – love it!

  4. I love the ice cream cupcake pans. Those are wicked cute!

  5. Wow. I've never seen so many pans in one place! I love the square muffin pan!

  18. It's probably a good thing I don't have a store like this near me because:

    1) I would spend all of my money there (Mortgage? what Mortage?)

    2) I would never leave.

I'd probably go with the graduated pans, but one of the special shapes like stars. Or, a cute cupcake pan! Oh, the possiblities…

  19. OMG! What an awesome store!!!

I had never seen a Square Muffin Pan before and a donut pan either. That's just too neat!

  26. Wow – I don't think I'd be allowed in that store.

I've been trying to find a rectangular tart pan (preferably with removable bottom) for a while now – perhaps now is my chance? But those little mini pans might be too cute to pass up.

  40. OMG! First, I loved your comment about your oven being scared. haha!

Okay, I'd seriously love the graduated round or square pans that fit in another, how cool. But I'd totally love a teeny tiny heart pan. Maybe two or three or four of those. I can see valentines personal cakes for my family members. ooo! So cute. So cute! (you're amazing)

  77. Wow that is cool… I may have to make a trip to Atlanta to see all this for myself. :) I am torn between the pan with the square cakes and the big graduated pans… hmmmm….

    littlemrsdomestic@gmail.com

  78. Well, I just about fell off the chair when I saw those ice cream cone cupcake pans, so sign me up for those. Especially since I just killed my mini-muffin pan by forgetting about them in the oven this weekend while I got distracted drinking a beer – er, talking – with the neighbours. Poor little muffins. Never saw it coming.

  79. I would be totally broke if there was something like this near my house! Last time I moved, my beloved springform pan got a dent so horrible that I couldn't knock it back out. A replacement would be kickin'.

  80. If I went in there I'd need a bigger kitchen! My favorite of all of them was the ice cream shaped cupcake pans, those are too adorable.

  81. Choices choices! I guess I'd have to go with some cupcake pans (big or small, or a variety of all!) because I'm getting married at Christmas, and instead of cake we're doing cupcakes! And hearts. Little heart cakes would be adorable.

  85. mmm so many choices. Do they have any flexible silicone pans/molds? I'd take those 1st and then one of the shaped bundt pan or that one you show with the interchangeable cubes (tetris cake anyone?!?)

  86. Oh my!!!
    I'd love the graduated pans!!

  87. I would love a set of graduated heart-shaped pans! Or maybe a teddy bear pan! Or, ooh, the movable block pan! Wow, I need to find a baking supply store near me…

  95. I love the heart cake pans!!!! So cute!

  96. That store is making me drool! I LOVE the bread pans. I have one now, but desperately want at least one more. SO much better than a loaf pan when making bread. Seems silly, but it's true. :)

  97. What a great pan aisle! I would love to get some spring form pans (to make cheesecake or ice cream cakes!) and a bundt cake pan… or maybe some mini-bundt cake pans!

  105. Bakerella you are awesome! I would love the cupcake cone pan or the mini tier cake pan! Your photos and the website just make me want to bake! Thank you!! :)

  106. I would love to visit the stores where you shop, how awesome!!! If I won, I would want the last pan you show (the one where the blocks move around). My son's 3rd birthday is coming up and when asked he says he wants an 'R' cake (his name starts with 'R'). I keep trying to figure out how to do it. I guess if worse comes to worse I could just do a regular round or rectangle cake and ice an 'R' on it, but I would really like to do it in the shape of an 'R.' Any suggestions if I don't win the pan?

  107. Love that store and my mother would go crazy in it (she teaches Home Ec). I am a sucker for anything seasonal.

  114. My fave dessert is angel food cake. But since I only have a lil angel food cake pan, I don't get to enjoy it as often as I'd like (every day). I'd like a big'un please! (Note to Bakerella if I win and to Hubby if I don't – Christmas present!)

    (cox.amelia@yahoo.com)

  154. WOWEE! I don't know. I think I would go for utility and pick some graduated square pans. But like Myrna (commenter #3) there are so many, I might never use them after the initial…ahhhh moment.

  155. What a wonderful store!

I have long lusted after large muffin pans. Don't know why since I rarely make muffins. I also loved those square muffin or cupcake pans.

  156. I'm impressed that you could be there and buy nothing! I have such a pan collection already, but I always wanted a proper bread pan. I use my loaf pans now. Or a twinkie pan. Have you ever seen one of those? Twinkies are fun to make. And say. Twinkie! ;)

  157. Oh my goodness. I so wish we had a store like that here! Well, i would love an assortments of mini pans. They are so cute! They would be perfect for little kids birthday party or dessert parties of one!

  158. Gosh, how do I pick! I'm kind of glad I don't have a store like that around me or I would never have any money. I really like the tartlet pans and the graduated circle-shaped pans.

  159. I would love the collection of tiny pans because it would be great to eat all tiny food and feel like a giant for the day! :)

  160. I really need to plan a road trip to visit this store! My favorite would have to be the graduated round pans. I think it would be fun to see what I can do with those!

  161. Those pans are so stinkin cute..love the little ones. I don't know which one I would choose. I guess I'd have to say a cookie sheet..because I really really need more cookie sheets. I baked this weekend a ton of sugar cookies all using only one cookie sheet..yikes :) Thanks for the chance to win.

  162. Wow, that is a serious pan aisle! I would love love love some pans!

  163. I don't have any muffin pans (gasp!) so I guess I would really like a jumbo, regular, and mini muffin pans. If only one, a regular would be best!

  165. Man, how sorry I feel for those people who work there. If that was me, most of paycheck would go there. I'd need to move to a house with a million cabinets!

Any "bee" cake pans? That would be cool to have at my school to make to look like our mascot!

Can I live with you? I would just sit with my chin in my hand and be in awe of your creativity. LOL

  166. I love your site. I stumbled upon it a couple of weeks age through splitcoaststampers. I check it just about everyday to see what's new. I would love to try the ice cream pan. "When" I win, you can reach me at djwilson86@gmail.com. Thanks.

  167. I would love to have those graduated cake pans! I'd love to try out making a multi-layer cake and that might be the first step-just getting the right pans! JenPen006@hotmail.com

  168. Those are some cool pan choices. I'd have a hard time choosing between the ice cream cone shaped pan, the graduated pan shapes (were there square ones?) and the mini pans. Mini anything tastes better!

  169. OOOOOHHH! Tartlet Pans! I have a big tart pan, but love to do mini-parties and they would be perfect!

  170. Ohhhh. Large lasagna sized pan. Oh wait! Cookie sheets. Mini muffin pans. Too hard to decide!

  171. OOO! I need to go shopping with you! What a fun place! I would have to go for the ice cream cone cup cake pans…I have such a thing for those Wilton pans!

  172. Awesome! The square muffin pan would make fabulous mini cakes!!!

  173. The ice cream cone cake pan is too cute. I would definitely want one of those.

  174. Man….no wonder you have love for things like cupcakes and such. I love decorating, but I would be doing it a LOT more if I had a store like this near by! I think….I would like to try a shaped pan or two. Not sure of which one yet though. :-)

  175. I love baking, but I'm poor so buying new pans just isn't in the budget. I just carve a lot… I love the modular pan at the end, where you can change things around, and I have to say the teeny pans (i have a set of three), make great individual angel food cakes, or enough to share if you aren't gluttonous.
But, in reality I guess I would choose an oval pan, I love the shape… even though I drool over the modular.

  176. the ice cream cone pan looks awesome. but the graduated hearts pan, oh how much fun would that be for my daughters birthday?!?!?

  177. You are the Sweetest – another tour of that Great store, and a give-away. Love it!

    Thank you!

  178. Wow, what a great place to be! How can you not love all those pans!!!
And how generous of you to give them away!
I just love those itty bitty ones. How can you not. They're so adorable.
I also would love a jumbo muffin tin, the square muffing tins were way too cute too. Oh how are we to decide! Probably the little mini pans are my fav.
    Thanks again!!!

  182. I sure can use an angel food cake pan, but I bake cookies way more often, so a cookie sheet pan would be great.

  183. what a great store! I got lost in there shopping on line, I can only imagine how overwhelming it would be in person! I would love to have a set of round graduated pans…or even any of the mini pans. My little girls would go crazy for anything mini!

  185. So fun! I cannot tell you how many times I have needed a Bundt pan – but still don't have one. But I also LOVE the graduated circles and the itty bitty pans. Love it.

  186. OOooooo I love bundt pans…

  187. This is great! You know what I really need? A set of round pans so I cake make a layer cake. I only have 1 that I think might be 9 inches and I have to bake one cake, let it cool, remove from the pan, wash the pan and bake another cake. It's a bit of a process!

  188. I love those bundt pans with special designs on them!

  189. I would love some cake pans. Mine are kind of old!

  194. Bakerella – what a super fun store! If I win, I would have to get a cheesecake pan. Always wanted one… oh, and I would love the cone shaped cupcake tin. Such decisions!

  195. That is one cool store. If I were to win, I would want a giant cookie sheet and maybe the tartlett pan, it is so cute!

  196. A bundt pan, please. Mine is cheap, old, bent, and wobbly! *Ü*

  198. I would love the ice cream cone cupcake pan! That would be tons of fun! Have you heard about the Iron Cupcake challenges? I compete regularly in the IC:Chicago challenge and those ice cream cone cupcakes would be a great part of a cute presentation!
