Pantastic!
I didn’t bake anything this weekend. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I think I was still in vacation mode or something. So I guess this is as good a time as any to close out the “Where I Shop” series. This is part 3: PANS! And Cake Art Party Store has a ton of them.
I love this store.
The cake pan aisle just makes me smile, despite it’s overwhelmingly gray disposition. It just makes me happy. I like to think about all the talented people that walk through here in need of the perfect cake pan and the things they create with them. Take all these graduated cake pan sets for instance… I’m in awe of what serious bakers and wedding cake decorators can do with them.
But layer cake pans aren’t the only kind of pan Cake Art carries.
There are loaf pans…
… not to be confused with bread pans.
Bundt-style pans in various designs.
Angel food cake pans.
Tartlet pans. (Fat Daddio’s… they even have a cute name.)
Doughnut pans. I should get one of these for the next time I try dougnuts.
How about some square pans. Or… regular, mini and jumbo-size muffin pans.
But, when it comes to cake pans, I love these little graduated ones that you can hold in one hand.
And, then there’s these. These are much, much bigger. I don’t know how big they actually go, but I’ve seen some as big as 18 inches wide and 3 and 4 inches deep. That is a serious cake. I think my oven would be scared.
But, the graduated sets aren’t all round. There are heart pans, hexagon pans, square pans, and oval pans… all available in different sizes.
But maybe you just want one pan. How about a sweet teddy bear? In pink, though.
What about a butterfly? Care Bear? Spiderman?
Or maybe you want individual ice cream-shaped cupcake pans. Too cute!
Or maybe you want a collection of itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, baby-size pans. I want one of each myself. For scale, that’s a container of sprinkles on the left. These ARE cuteness!
What?!?! You don’t want any cake pans? Well, they also have cookie sheet pans. So there.
And, if that weren’t enough, they have pans that try to tempt me to buy them – even though I would probably never use them. This one has blocks you can move around to let you make numbers and letters. I’ve seen it in a large size, but not one this tiny. Again, CUTENESS! I hate this store.
If that’s not enough, they have even more pans.
And, now for some fun.
- Enter for a chance to win the pan of your choice.
- Just leave a comment on this post and pick out the kind of pan you want from any of the above. That’s right. You get to pick. Need some jumbo-size muffin pans? Want to try out a set of graduated pans? Hearts? Hexagons? Or maybe you just need some plain old cupcake pans. I know, you really want an assortment of teeny-tiny pans.
- Well, if you win, I’ll get it for you, or as many as I can get for you with a $50 bill. Sound like fun?
- Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email)
- Deadline to enter is
Tuesday, July 14th at 5 p.m.TIME’S UP! WINNER ANNOUNCED BELOW. (recorded by the time stamp of your comment) The winner will be announced sometime Tuesday evening on this post.
* One winner will be chosen using the Random.org integer generator.
Good luck!
Man… you guys like pans! I didn’t think this giveaway would be that fun because it was so, well, so gray. But, I’m glad you had fun entering. Now for the winner…
Congrats Melissa! You’re definitely getting a set of graduated pans. YAY! And I’ll try to throw in a square muffin pan for you, too. I’ll see how far $50 goes.
Oh, to walk that aisle! It's so hard to pick! I think I would like the number pan though. I've made a commitment to make all of my daughter's birthday cakes (she'll be 2 this year – standup duck pan from Wilton for her 1st!!) and these numbers would be a cute addition to that!

I have to confess a weakness for interestingly shaped Bundt pans, but I would probably get some more cookie sheets, because that's what I really need. Oh, and a half sheet pan!
Ooooh! A donut pan would be delightful!! I have just the recipe for it too!! I hope one day to be able to travel and visit this amazing cake store!!!
I am so jealous of your ability to shop at the Cake Art Shop. All I have is Michaels. Grrr…overpriced, bad selection!

My son's first birthday is coming up and I'm going to make him a cake (ok box cake with store bought icing but I'm going to do all the decorating) of something cutesy and that teddy bear is screaming my name! Or aset of small graduated pans…ack the possibilities are endless!
I would love that last one, the one where you can make numbers or letters. Seems like a super versatile pan! if not that one, then the square muffin pan would be awesome!

Deborah

The logical thing to request would be a sheet pan or a much needed bundt cake pan, but I really like the last one with the blocks you move around…so many possibilities!!
I would love any but most of all the graduating cake pans. I am making a one year olds cake soon and it's so much fun using the little pans. Thanks for the chance.
Wow! I could really use some new cupcake pans…regular size and some mini ones! I'm getting ready to make beach themed cupcakes for my daughter's 3rd birthday and man are my cupcake pans in saaaaaad shape :)

My most recent acquisition was the book hellocupcakebook.com and I can't wait to make corn on the cob cupcakes!! Thanks for the cute inspiration and ideas each week!
I like the mini-cake pans… it makes you feel special to get your own cake and you don't feel like you have to share. :o)
I love that ice cream cone cupcake pan!
Ooooh! I'd like some cupcake pans or a set of graduated cake pans! But I just began my own cupcake venture, Fresh Batch Cupcakes. I fill them with my sister-in-law's home made jams and I have some really cool flavors. Come check out http://cortezfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/back-for-sure.html
Teeny Tiny Bread pans maybe? And I have lots of close seconds…
Glad you are having fun! :)
so many choices, the possibilities are endless. I've never had a square cake pans so I think the 3-PC Square Pan Set 8''/12''/16'' would be my first choice.

OMG, so many beautiful pans I don't really need, but am sure I must have (I was okay 5 minutes ago, before I opened your blog)!!! And I envy you the store. Nothing like this around here… I love the one for square muffins (can't think of a better description), and the ones for tartelettes aren't bad either…
Oh… this store is just endless!!!
I LOVE the square muffin pan! I've never seen square muffins and I love, love, love that idea!!!
Oh my gosh. I can't decide! Maybe the Bundt pan or one of the square pans? This store looks so great though. Good thing it's not anywhere near me!
Ice cream shaped cupcake pan please! What a kind giveaway – thanks! My daughter would love making these with me, and we could trick people at the same time – what fun!
How in the world do you get out of there without dozens of pans each trip?
I really like the little mini pans. Especially the bundt ones.
Oh goodness….hmmm…..If you forced me to pick I think my top would be the mini ice cream cone cupcake pan and a close second would be the square muffin pan! Thanks for your wonderful blog!

What a great store! I love the mini pans. I'd like some mini loaf ones or that muffin pan with the squares instead of circles. Too cute!
I love the graduated pans! So fun to have a variety of sizes :)
Oh, goody! I appreciate your contests- great fun. I would choose an angel food cake pan, since that it is the most specific design I haven't allowed myself to buy, but it would be wonderful for summer fruit desserts!

Wow! I wouldn't now where to begin. I guess I'd get the cupcake pan first, but from there your guess is as good as mine. I'd love new cake pans seeing as I don't have many, being a first time homeowner. Tracy

Oh dear! I love pans and wish I had every kind of pan at my disposal. But I think I would pick tartlet pans, as I have wanted some of those for a long time!
You are making me want to drive back to this store (I live on the west side of ATL). Anyway, I need a new 1 piece angel food cake pan and the baby angel food cake pans would be nice to have.
I'm with you–the little graduated ones would be most useful. Call me practical!

Bakerella, your "Where I shop" series was incredible. I think I'll definitely drop by those stores next time I'm in your neck of the woods. If I had to pick a pan, it would be the square muffin/cupcake pans, I've been wanting to get those for a while.
Thanks so much for showing and telling with us!
I don'gt think I wouold have had the strength to walk away from those cute number and leter pans! How fun they would be for a birthday party along witht hose cupcake pans!
My sister and I are going to be baking all the desserts for my "mini dessert buffet" wedding next spring – so I could definitely us some mini muffin pans. Although those teeny tiny pans are very very tempting…

If I HAD to choose one thing it would be the graduated pans. I have been wanting to try my hand at some layered cakes. I would also love a nice sheet cake pan and can always pick out a couple shaped pans for my kids' birthdays!
Oh, random number generator…I need a bundt cake pan. So many uses…so, so many uses – yet, I don't have one!

Pan nirvana!!! I am afraid to bake bread. I never knew an actual bread pan existed, so I'd love one of those to conquer my fears! The graduated pans are also great, too!! Im jealous you live near this store!!
I so look forward to your posts!! I really love the ice cream cone pan and the square muffin pan. They are so cute! You are too kind!
Wow, what a fun store! I'd have to bring somebody with me so I wouldn't go overboard. The graduated square pans win though.
A set of graduated cake pans. :)
Fun store! I could really use new cookie sheets and a new rectangular cake pan. I bake so much that I just destroy the cheapy ones!
I absolutely LOVE the ice cream cone pan! It reminds me of my favorite birthday party when someone made me cupcakes inside real ice cream cones. I can still taste the deliciousness…
Bakerella rocks!!!
I would LOVE the pan with the moving blocks. I could embarass my mother into eternity by exclaiming her age with them each year.
I would LOVE the pan with the moving blocks. I could embarass my mother into eternity by exclaiming her age with them each year.
I am a pan collector, and I have a shortcake pan on my wanted list. It makes 6 little Maryannes for making strawberry shortcakes with sponge cake. I would love one of those, but if they are not available I would be happy with the graduated cake pans.
WOWZAS not that is some pans!
I would love to have a set of graduated round or square pans for my kitchen. As we have *sigh* no cake pans (oh the horror) other than of course the cupcake stone from Pampered Chef. Yes my children are deprived!
Oh, I would love to have a set of graduated cake pans. I would give them to my sister for her birthday since she is the "cake baker". She is amazing!! I wish I could show you some of the cakes she has made, but she doesn't have a website. Maybe I will blog about them for her. Thanks for an awesome giveaway!!
Oh my….I would be LOST in that place for hours! I would love some graduated cake pans in either round or square. I just started cake decorating and am excited to be working on tiered cakes next!!!!
I think I'd go for some type of teeny weeny pan (the possibilities for entertaining are endless!), and maybe a bundt pan.
LOVE THAT STORE. Tell the owners they should come up and open one in Western NY.
I would love the graduated pans! I make my kids birthday cakes every year….okay not at your level, but I do alright!! And those would be a great addition for some of the crazy things my kids want made out of cake!!
Thanks for the chance to win! You inspire me to bake more!!
I would love to have that square muffin pan. I think it would be great for breakfast buns.
I would love to use those ice cream shaped cupcake pans..it reminds me of my third birthday when we made cupcakes in ice cream cones!
Wow! I wish I had a store like that near me. It's almost worth the airline flight to Georgia to check it out. I would just love a 16 inch round cake pan…. love it!
