Cake, baby!
Yes, this post is all about delicious cake, but just not the kind you eat.
It’s about the kind you can carry. I found this decadent purse online and just fell in love. First with the name of course, and then with the design. It’s from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
But, it’s not just a purse. It’s also a diaper bag. That’s right. Inside this not so little red number is a fold out changing pad, room for diapers and a plastic case for wipes. No one would ever guess. Unless of course they, too have had some cake.
Now, don’t feel like you’ve gotta go and get pregnant just to carry this purse. Petunia Pickle Bottom made the changing pad detachable so you can carry Cake even if you don’t have a little one in tow for a reason.
Did I mention the matching coin purse? Sweet.

Pineapple upside down cake! It has that awesome brown sugar, pineapple juice, buttery taste and makes you feel less guilty since there is NO FROSTING.

Actually I love a good moist vanilla cake with or without a filling – but always with a light fluffy whipped frosting. (a whipped mocha filling is really hard to turn down)

OH, this is easy! Hands down my favorite cake is indeed RED VELVET CAKE! If fact, my most favoritest piece was at the Bubble Room somewhere near Orlando, FL…in 1995. (Only one location now, in Sarasota, FL). Four layers of red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting goodness. Ohhhhhh. It was also my first piece of Red Velvet Cake. You never forget your first…..
My favourite cupcake would be anything my daughter Monica makes. She is making her way through a cupcake book she got for Chrissy. So far I have tasted semolina berry, caramel toffee, turkish delight, jaffa, honey banana macadamia and all are my favourite. They are made with much love. She also makes polymaclay cupcakes for jewellery items. Needless to say if I won the bag it would go to her. The fact that it is a diaper bag would not bother her…She is cupcake crazy :D

My favorite cake is German Chocolate, or White cake chilled with vanilla custard filling and fresh strawberries in middle, frosted with whipped cream and more fresh strawberries…..sounds good now!

OMG – how sweet is this purse??? You inspired me to bake my first red velvet cake and everyone LOVED it. Keep up the wonderful postings – I love checking every day to see what you are making. Oh – my favorite cake? Had to be my wedding cake – white chocolate cake with a thin layer of lemon curd and passionfruit mousse on one tier and white chocolate cake with a thin layer of lemon curd and marionberry mousse on the second tier. The top tier had a layer of each type of mousse. Absolutely divine!

Chocolate buttercream layer cake. The best example is the no longer available Ebinger’s version which I remember as having a slightly creamier filling than the frosting on the outside. And I think there were sliced almonds around the edge as well. Mmm.
