I’ve been in spring break mode lately. You might have noticed since I didn’t bake last weekend. I think it’s because I recently went on a vacation which I haven’t done in a couple of years and it felt awesome to just relax and do nothing. And now being back home I can’t stop enjoying the warmth that’s finally taking over. Spring is probably my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately, in the south, you only have about seven minutes to enjoy the season before the hot and humid heat of summer takes over. Okay, okay – I’m exaggerating a little. It probably lasts eleven minutes. ; ) So you’ve got to enjoy all of them while they last. And I’m trying.

There’s no place like home. My parents’ sunny terrace in the South of France is where we put our hectic lives on standby and meet up with my brother and sister to share a nice lunch and laze around in the sun.

My husband and I just got back from our favorite vacation spot. The Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico just north of Cancun. It was so hard to leave! As for mixer color, I love all of them but I think my favorite would have to be Aqua Sky.

My favorite place to visit is Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. In the summer, the lake is absolutely gorgeous, and in the fall, the whole town is full of magnificent colors from those changing leaves. Any vacation I have has to be centred around animals. If I’m staying home then I’m at the stables everyday or helping out at my local Riding for the Disabled charity. If I’m going abroad then I have to schedule an animal day in – visiting a wildlife centre, going on a safari or riding camels in the desert.

We try to go someplace different every year. Each has been a favorite – Denver, NYC/Philly, Tybee Island, GA, etc. This year I think we may stay closer to home and do something along Lake Michigan or Erie.

My favorite vacation ever was camping from our home up through Canada across to Glacier Nat. Park, then visited & camped all summer through many Nat. Parks then home to Maine through Southern route. We’ve camped in other parks a little closer but that was favorite vacation ever. A close second would be to go back & stay in Mesa Verde, Glacier & visit the south rim( we stayed @ north rim) of Grand Canyon National

Vacation isn’t something we get to do often in this house. However, if we could choose anywhere, we’d probably choose to go to New Mexico and spend some time hiking in the Sangre de Cristos. A good bowl of green chile stew and some carne adovada burritos would make the entire trip for me.

my favourite vacation spot is definitely Paris. roaming around the beautiful city, hopping from bakery to bakery, and popping a bottle of champagne by the eiffel tower every night, followed by crepes slathered in nutella from a little kiosk by the tower. that is literally how we spent out entire 4 days in Paris, and I loved every second!!!
