The Black and White

Black and White Cupcake from Sprinkles

The Black and White. It’s my go to Sprinkles cupcake flavor. Belgian dark chocolate cake loaded with vanilla frosting. Yum! Have you been before? If so, what’s your favorite flavor?

I’ve enjoyed their cupcakes in a few cities. Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Scottsdale. And, I’m excited to say that I can now finally enjoy them in the brand new Sprinkles Atlanta shop when the mood strikes. YAY!!! And YIKES because that might be all too often.

I’ve visited a bunch of cupcake shops that I LOVE over the last several years … you know for research and all ; )… and I really enjoy Sprinkles because I know they’ll always be great whenever I stop in. At least they have been so far.

I just wanted to share a few pics to let you know in case you need a cupcake fix the next time you’re in Atlanta.

They just opened a few weeks ago, so I had to visit right away and I snapped a few photos one morning before things got busy.

Sprinkles Cupcakes

I’ll take one of each.

Cute tables and stools!

And t-shirts, too.

Hi guys! Love your cupcake wrapper pick-up window.

I may have bought a few for the road.

Sprinkles Ice Cream Atlanta

Oh yeah … We have the ice cream shop, too. Awesome!

Sprinkles Ice Cream Atlanta

Who wants a red velvet ice cream cone? I do.

Or maybe a cupcake sundae? Hold me back.

Darn…I was there before the ice cream shop opened.

Sprinkles Ice Cream

Another time for ice cream I guess!

Cupcake ATM

But, it’s cupcakes anytime with their cute outdoor ATM.

Sprinkles Cupcakes

Here’s what I brought home. Wow, they look super cute sitting on my table.

Too bad, they didn’t last long enough to look at.

  1. My boyfriend and I were blown away by the vanilla! We were shocked at how much more we liked it than some of the other flavors we tried. The salted caramel is excellent too. Yay ATL for having a Sprinkles now!:)

  4. I’m with you – Black and White all the way!!!!! I always buy a box of four under the guise that perhaps I’m bringing them home to family for dessert… Nah, just me!

  5. So intrigued by the cupcake atm. Cant wait for an opening here in Australia!

  6. I’ve always wanted to go to one of the Sprinkles cupcakes ATMs. Such a neat idea.

  7. Cinnamon sugar! Had that one for the first time last summer and that’s what I always get from now on (the black and white was my favorite before that…)

  8. Goodness, their goodies look fantastic – almost too good to eat! Well…too good not to go back for more is better because who could resist eating these? I know I couldn’t.

    Beware my hips, beware…lol.

  9. What an adorable store!

  10. Congrats about them coming to Atlanta! Yep we have one here in Chicago. I haven’t actually been to the one here. I just got one from a friend on monday though so I should probably eat it! It’s strawberry! I can’t wait to try it! I’m probably gonna go eat it right now because of seeing this post!

Your pictures are lovely! The cupcake ATM is the cutest! I can’t wait to go to the Sprinkles here in Chicago.

  16. WoW!! The shop is adorable, really puts you in the mood to eat cupcakes. Unfornuately I have never had the pleasure of trying their cupcakes. Now that one is open in Atlanta I will have to go.

  17. This post made me laugh because I too just happen to have to visit the Sprinkles located in Georgetown (D.C.). They open at 9:30 and if you get there early, parking is super easy…not that I would know or anything! LOL!

  18. We fell in love with Sprinkles cupcakes last year in California and were so excited to get this one in Atlanta. My favorite is the red velvet, but I think I just love them all! The perfect proportion of cake to frosting, whereas most cupcake places have way too much frosting, and I am a frosting lover.

  19. Oh good lord, I have never seen a store so glorious. I MUST go there one day!

  20. They’re good, I like the cinnamon flavor, but I think there are also many cupcakes out there that are much better. I will say, though, that they are very consistent and their branding is perfect.

  21. I’ve never been to Sprinkles, but your enthusiasm and happiness is contagious :)

  22. I’m regretting that I didn’t get their ice cream the other day when I was in Beverly Hills. FroYo instead. FAIL!

  23. I sadly have never had a Sprinkles cupcake! I need to rectify that soon… these look SO good!

  24. Love the stools, cupcake ATM (OMG!)
    and your pink chairs.
But those cupcakes are the best.

  25. I can’t get over the cupcake ATM!!! Love it:)

  26. I can’t wait! Hubby and i made a yummy sweets run to Sublime Donuts this weekend..Sprinkles will just be icing on the cupcake! ;)

  27. Wow those cupcakes look amazing!

  28. I have wanted to try a Sprinkles cupcake for soooo long, but we don’t have any locations nearby….which is kind of a good thing because if I had a Cupcake ATM it would be bad news for my waistline!

  29. Personally I like Kara’s Cupcakes much better than Sprinkles. I almost always find that the Sprinkles cakes are dry.

  30. Oh, I have a profound weakness for their red velvet cupcakes. I haven’t had a similar cupcake anywhere else (especially not from my own kitchen, sadly, though I haven’t tried the cake mix, either). I also love many other flavors and the chocolate sprinkles they use. I’d love to try the ice cream, but they don’t sell it at the Palo Alto location.

  31. We don’t have anything like this in Michigan, but I guess it’s a good thing haha!!! Sounds so yummy :)

  32. What a cute shop! Wish we had one in Kansas. I will have to tell my big sis in Kennesaw to check out the Atlanta location. Thanks so much for the cute idea and printable for the whale cookies awhile back. I made them for my 2nd grade son to give out on valentines day and they were a huge hit!!

  33. The ice cream is so good, you have to go back and try it!! You know, for research purposes and whatnot. :-)

  34. The next week I will be traveling to Houston TX and San Antonio, please if anyone has a very good recomnendation, let me know…I am so happy to taste all of them.

    Thanks a lot!

  35. I am from Mexico and during my last visit to LA, I went to Sprinkles Cupcakes… and I really love it :-)

  36. OMG, there’s a Sprinkles in ATL now!?! Chaddy and I will be planning a weekend trip soon!!

  37. I LOVE Sprinkles! They have a salted caramel cupcake that is to die for. My husband’s grad school classes are close to the NYC location, so he has been known to bring me cupcakes after class. (Blows flowers out of the water!)

  38. I love Sprinkles. Atlanta’s not too far away! :)

  39. This looks amazing! I have never been to a Sprinkles, but definitely will next time I travel. Thanks for sharing the pics.

  40. Madre mia! Qué envidia!

  41. I love, love, love ALL their cupcakes – I’ve had most of them (one at a time!) from their Beverly Hills store brought to the office – sooo hard to say no to those cupcakes!

  42. Lovely clean design of the place, packaging and cakes! Great pictures as always :)

  43. Oh my god Im travelling a twenty-four-hours flight just for this!!
    I live in another contenent!!

  44. Oh man, that looks delicious! And that ATM…is that for reals?

  45. This place looks AMAZING! Need something like this in the UK! Love the photos too.

  46. None near me :'( love the idea of a cupcake atm

  47. When I was in California last year (I’m from Australia) I did some ‘research’ at both Sprinkles and Kara’s Cupcakes.

I loved Sprinkles Red Velvet best out of theirs, but also loved Kara’s Vanilla! Mmm-mmm I’m going back next month and will be trying them again… just to make sure! ;-)

  49. They all look so delicious! Too bad we don’t have such cute cupcake shops in Germany…at least not where I live.

  50. I visited a couple years ago and loved their red velvet cupcakes! i’m keen to go back and test out the atm machine and the icecream. It’s a pity i have to travel all the way from Australia!!

  51. I love their red velvet
