They Got Me

The other day I was doing a little impromptu shopping. I had already spent more than I wanted and I was about to pass the Williams-Sonoma store. I said to myself. “Walk faster. Faster. Don’t look in. You don’t need anything else. Whatever you do…

…don’t stop…

Don’t look in the …”

photo

Dang. They got me.

I really tried not to go in, but how could I be complete without these Star Wars Cookie Cutters. I knew if I left empty handed, I’d wish I had bought them in the off chance someone I know wants Boba Fett cookies one day. So I went in, telling myself the whole time I would just have a peek. I can resist.

IMG_0100

I can resist so well that I only bought two. One for me and one for you. Okay, one for one of you.

IMG_0033

Now, I like to bake to go along with a giveaway if I can, but I knew I wouldn’t have enough time to make and pipe these this weekend and I just couldn’t wait to show you these cutters. Plus, my piping skills might deter you from wanting to try them. Piping royal icing is a skill I need to work on, but the way to go if you’re up for it. They’d still be super cute just like this photo from the back of the box, though.

IMG_0079

The cutters have plungers that make impressions in the sugar cookie dough as you cut shapes.

IMG_0066

You can whip up some Storm Troopers…

IMG_0072

A Dark Lord perhaps.

IMG_0075

Maybe some Boba Fett’s just so you can say the name over and over.

IMG_0073

And you have to make Yoda, of course. Make him you should. And eat him you shall.

But… but wait… where’s Chewbacca and R2-D2? What’s up with that? I want to nibble on a little Wookiee. And maybe a little Harrison Ford.

They need a second edition. Fingers crossed.

IMG_0052

The set comes packaged in a cute box with a recipe for cookies and icing.

Besides the kiddies going gaga for these, I think it would make a great gift for Daddy’s Day. Well, it might make some Daddy’s Day, not all.

Find them at Williams-Sonoma or…

  2. How cute are these? I have a little nephew who would just freak out if he had a Star Wars cookie! I have only seen the new Star Wars movies and my husband keeps trying to convince me to watch the classic ones. I hear I’m missing out big time! :)

  3. Hi!
I’m a total Star Wars nerd, and being the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back this is an AWESOME giveaway! I live in Spain, so I’m not sure if I could purchase this cutters, even online, but I’ll be trying, if I’m not lucky…

  4. I had a huge crush on Hans Solo.

  5. The cookie cutters are fun! Just too bad I don’t get in to the movie like I am digging the cookie cutters. :)

  6. Seriously… I had every darn single one of the action figures growing up… we even had the death star thing where you hooked Luke Skywalker’s hand to the plastic loop and he could swing across with Princess Leya. Sign. I still wish I had those toys.

P.s. I’d like to win, but there is a good possibility that I will already own the cookie cutters like TODAY. ;) As in going out right now.

  7. My son loves Star Wars, and would really love cookies made with these cutters.

  8. I step on star wars stuff everyday in our home. We used the theme for our wedding, stamps for the invitations and the light saber had to be taken away for “getting way into character” LOL. we love us some star wars :-)

  9. My husband is semi-obsessed with star wars…he would love me even more if I made him star wars cookies for our anniversary that is coming up. These are awesome!

  10. I am a PROUD fangirl of the (original) Star Wars trilogy. All I wanted in life when I was young to be Princess Leia (strong, powerful and great hair) and find my perfect Han Solo (roguish, charming, and super hot). My family didn’t know what to make of me.

  11. As annoying as he is, my friend and I just love Jar-Jar Binks. She has a dog named Joey, and his nickname ever since has been Jo-Jo Binks. He even responds to Binksy. You have the best site ever! I love how creative you are, it makes my day.

  12. My husband loves Star Wars and his birthday is coming up! It would be a great addition to his party to have these awesome cookies!

  24. My husband owns way too many figurines!!!! He is a total nerd and I have to admit, I have really come to love the Star Wars movies over the years as well….so I guess that makes me a nerd too. :) I agree though they need a second addition. An R2D2 cookie! oo so cute!

  25. My husband loves Star Wars! He has every toy he ever collected as a child including one of the huge ships (I don’t watch so I can’t tell u the name of the ship). My three boys love star wars as well! These cookie cutters would be a GREAT Fathers Day gift! Plus my kids would LOVE Star Wars cookies to share with their friends!

  26. When a friend of mine along with her husband boght their first house one of the first things they did was set up their star wars room. Not because of the husband either. This room along with many things includes an R2D2 fish tank and Darth Vader light switch. Not to mention my uhsband can recite every single word to Star Wars- A New Hope

  29. The boy I like is a big Star Wars fan. Perhaps I could win him over with Star Wars cookies… ;)

  30. I love Empire Strikes Back! Actually before I met my boyfriend I was ANTI Star wars.. I know what a crime! but 6 years ago he introduced them all to me in the span of a weekend and I cant even count how many times we’ve watched them since!

  31. These cookie cutters rock!!! I have a 7 year old girl who is slightly obsessed with star wars. Darth vader is definately her favorite. Although I will say he used to have the moniker garth gator around our house when she was little. :)

  32. I have enjoyed all the Star War movies. I haven’t seen them in awhile but they always seem to entertain me!

  33. Love these I do! Trying to talk like Yoda I am! lol I will never forget…when we were kids, my brother had a Darth Vader action figure case and my little sister was terrified of it. So what would he do? He put it in the hallway so she wouldn’t go down it…good times!

  34. Yeah!! Star Wars!! But I agree, you can’t have SW without Chewbacca :) I’m a huge sci-fi fan and go to DragonCon every year. You wouldn’t believe some of the SW costumes that come out of there! It’s a hoot!

    Thanks for the contest!
    Rachel M

  38. hi! im 13 years old, i love to bake and i also love your website and go on it every oppurtunity, i live in indonesia and would love to win one of these, though you probably would find it hard to ship here. My favourite movie is avatar all the way!!! but my favourite character in star wars is yoda.

  39. hmmmm…I just read an article that says we don’t window shop any more…good thing Williams Sonoma doesn’t know that. Yoda is a cutey…he reminds me of my Pug, Zeke.
I am a huge Star Wars Fan. I remember standing in those long lines for the first 3 …now the second three…it gets confusing.
May the force be with me!

  40. so much fun. can’t wait to see the final product. love reading your blog.

  41. I was 5 when Star Wars first came out. I absolutely fell in love with one of the characters. That year, I was a 5 year old girl dressed as Darth Vader for Halloween. My garbage bag cape and wrapping paper tube light saber rocked! Thank you Mom and Dad for not making me dress like princess Leia!

  42. Star Wars might be the first movie I ever watched in the theatre. I’ll never forget the buzz and the excitement, it seemed to last for months. I was one of the many girls in the 70s who wanted to be Princess Leia, if only for the hair.

  43. I am not big fan of Star Wars, but my hubby would love to nibble on those really cute cookies. Hihi.

  44. Awesome! I have their circus animal ones and they are great! I love Star Wars even the new ones which everyone seems to hate! C3PO is my favorite!

  45. I have a friend obsessed with Star Wars, and I know this would completely make his day! With him and his wife celebrating their first anniversary soon, this would really be the best gift ever!

  46. My english is not that great, but I saw the cookiecutters en thought, this I can’t let go. And then I saw all the reactions already :). But what the heck, maybe I got a chanche too.
So mu comment is that I just love those two: C-3po en R2-D2, lovely en humoristic couple!

  47. OK, here’s something about Star Wars… I am getting married in October, and I told my fiance that he should have a groom’s cake. His first suggestion of what he wanted? A cake of Han Solo encased in carbonite. I told him that pretty much any other Star Wars reference would be cool – a Millenium Falcon cake? An R2D2 cake? Even a Jabba the Hut cake! But I vetoed Han Solo encased in carbonite. It really sends the wrong message. At a wedding.

Anyhoo, he’d go berserk if I made him Star Wars cookies! Thanks, as always, for the giveaway!

  48. My husband always loved star wars, but I had never seen an episode until we started dating…now we have a boxed DVD set of all the movies.

  49. I love the ewoks, they’re too cute!
And the cookie cutters would be great for my brother’s birthday!

  50. I showed this post to my husband who LOVES star wars and he asked me if we were going to buy some….so i guess if we don’t win them-we’ll be buying them :)

  51. These are SOOO Awesome. Between my son and my little “big” brother I have to have them. Oh I hope I win. Thanks for sharing your find.

  52. my family has got to be the BIGGEST star wars fans on the planet! love the cookie cutters!

  53. From the “new” movies I’m probably one of the few people in the world who was not incredibly annoyed by Jar Jar Binks. From the original movies I just love C-3PO. Hilarious and spastic all at the same time!!

I don’t have a son and The Hubble doesn’t have any action figures but I did buy him a Star Wars Lego set for Christmas a few years back. He loves Star Wars and Legos so I thought it was a perfect combo!

These cookie cutters are awesome and I’m going to have to get some (if I don’t win them)! Thanks for sharing!

  54. It’s not just boys that love Star Wars . . . My girlie girls LOVE it. I think they take after me!!! :) I think the Yoda cutter is the cutest!

  55. These are so adorable! My son would go gaga over these. He loves Star Wars. We have too many of those Star Wars figurines in our house. When we go to the store and look at toys there is not a single one on the pegs that he doesn’t have. Crazy. He also thinks that Ahsoka Tano lives in the house across the street. The imagination of 4 year olds is just great!

    lifewiththehewittfamily@gmail.com

  56. My dad LOVES star wars (don’t all guys?)
I personally haven’t seen all of the movies and the ones I have seen I have only seen once.
My favorite character is definitely Jar Jar Binks. He’s just so cute.

  57. My husband is a fan of his movies and everything related to them

  58. I never watched Star Wars until I was married… and they really are great movies. And my grown husband carries his lunch in a star wars bag he got from Pottery Barn a year ago. :o)
    I love R2D2.. I can’t believe he wasn’t included.

  59. These are soooo adorable! I had an R2D2 birthday cake when I was six! I would love to make these cookies for my kids, although I think I would probably get much more joy out of them than the kids would!

  60. I’m a classic, a new hope lover – it’s got it all. it’s sad to think that the movie is older than i am…and yet it’s still an fantastic flick. i’d love to make the cookies for the gf – she’s a big star wars fan as well.

  61. My step sons are ADDICTED to Star Wars – tshirts, jammie pants, action figures, they love it all. They would go gaga over cookies!

  62. i love the star wars movies. i remember going to the first one back in the 70’s. i sat enthralled, watching all the action on the big screen. i couldn’t believe it! those first 3 movies are by far the best of the series! i love these cookie cut-outs and i’d sure love to win this set! so, thanks for posting them :)

    kenoly2000@hotmail.com

  63. My husband and I BOTH love Star Wars. This past Halloween was our daughter’s 1st Halloween and I made her a Chewbacca costume complete with bandolier. I was Princess Leia and my husband was Obi Wan. I sew and decided to make them all myself. This would be just an awesome Daddy’s Day gift.

  64. My son loves Attack of the Clones and he’s 3! He likes the white guys (storm troopers) and the light sticks (sabers) and I just like watching it with him!

These are so cute…if I don’t win, I’m pretty sure I’ll just have to buy them! :)

  65. I LOVE the soundtracks to all of the movies. I mean, who doesn’t know the sound of the Imperial March? LOVE it…and cookies so it’s a win win. =)

  66. When i was 5, Star Wars came out. I made my mom take me every weekend until she threatened me with my life. I was in total awe of the whole movie, and nothing has come close since. And then came Yoda. And i fell in love with him. And now that Tom Tom has Yoda giving you directions, i will have my wise little jedi with me always. and to make it better, above my backdoor, in this gorgeous font, i have, in Italian, May the Force be With You. And above my son’s door, it says The Force is strong with this one.

  67. My sweet 7-year-old grandson is a Star Wars fanatic. His birthday is coming up, and I would LOVE to make these for him.

  68. I’m not a huge fan but my husband and son are….they would LOVE these cookies!! ;o)

  69. My son has read the Boba Fett books 300 times, and refuses to read anything else. If we had these cookie cutters, he would refuse to EAT anything else. :)

  70. oh my gosh, i have to win these cookie cutters!!! This brought back some wonderful memories. When my youngest son turned 16, all he wanted to do was go to the movies and watch all 3 Star War Moivies back to back! this was 1995 when the released them back to the theaters. He didn’t want a big party, he wanted his best friend, his girlfriend and his family to all go watch Star WArs. we all had tired butt and were popcorned out! But we had a great time. Ash is a Star Wars Fan since he was 3 years old when the first one came out. Now he is a father, and watches Star Wars with his kiddos! he has gotten into model building now, and guess what he builds? STAR WARS !!!! didn’t mean to be so long, but Star Wars is BIG in our family!!! thanks for the chance to win!

  71. My 5 year old never heard of Star wars till he started Kindergarten this year. Did not know Ks and First-graders compare notes so much. Now he knows all ( atleast most) of the characters and interesting information about them without even watching a Star wars movie so far.

Oh and Santa got him a star wars lego set & he spent his gift money to buy a super-cool Star wars pop-up book.

  72. my husband loves starwars, I love you and we both love to bake!!!
this is EXACTLY what I wish for my birthday tomorrow… :)

  73. These are great. I saw them the other day, but (somehow!) managed to resist buying them.

Love the original Star Wars films. The less said about the recent ones, the better.

  74. I love the video game lego Star Wars!

  75. “Luke..I am your faaaather”

  76. I love Star Wars! It was such a large part of my child hood. The original 3 movies are the best!

  77. Who knew Star Wars could be so cute?!

  78. I love these cutters from Williams Sonoma. We have cookies made with the circus animals collection at every holiday. My son absolutely loves Star Wars. So now my challenge will be to find a dairy free recipe that will work with them. His family went dairy free recently and it takes a lot of study for me to cook for them. Off to W-S!

  79. These are the best cookie cutters ever!!! I have grandchildren young and old that would just go crazy over these. If I don’t win I guess I will be making a trip to Williams – Sonoma.

  80. I love Star Wars. I have a collection, and I have enough things in it to have it on display at my local public library.

I would love to make these cookies! Super-cute!

  81. These are adorable! My 2 boys & husband would think I was the best if I made them. With the boys birthdays & Father’s Day these will be a must for our family!

  82. Wow those are so cool! I remember standing in line for a long time when I was 7 years old to watch it in the town where I grew up! I think I have only stood in line for a movie twice in my life (the other was for New Moon last November!)

  83. I LOVE Ewoks!!! Not so much starwars but they were in one of them! We used to dress up and play ewoks with our neighbors every chance we got, we went through ALOT of mom’s pillowcases cutting a circle out for our faces, instant ewok!

Those cookie cutters are so cute! I don’t blame you for not resisting.

  84. one of my friends is a HUGE Star Wars nerd…she loves EVERYTHING Star Wars and I would love to help add to her obsession…collection sorry lol i meant collection!! :)

  85. these are the cutest. i can see the excitement on all the little boys faces right now!

  86. Star Wars easter eggs.

  87. Star Wars was the FIRST date for my husband and me! I would LOVELOVELOVE these delightful cookie cutters!

  88. My husband is a huge fan and loves all the movies. We have them on vhs and dvd. Just waiting for them to come out on Blue-ray and he will probably buy another set. But I do enjoy them too.

  89. i’m not the biggest star wars fan, but i liked the star wars episode II movie. hayden christenses was very cute! :D

  90. My fiance loves all the cake pops you have made and we have even tried making a few ourselves. They have been a HUGE hit will our moms and friends. This would be an excellent addition to our holiday gifts that we give to everyone. Her brothers birthday is coming up and he is the biggest Star Wars fan I know! We would love these cookie cutters!

  91. OMG. I’m a HUGE Star wars fan (i even have my own master replica lightsaber) so I NEEEEED those cookie cutters. my favorite is the boba fett cutter!

  92. Our house is Star Wars Crazy! Two boys (4&6) and a hubby born in the early 70s…need I say more? okay, I will…last Christmas, Santa “found” all of my Hubby’s old toys and gifted them to the boys – that’s right AT-AT, Millenium Falcon and a whole C-3PO full of vintage figures. They ALL love to play and this summer they’ve requested a Star Wars birthday -these are perfect!

  93. My son’s father is deployed to Iraq, and when they got to see each other in February for his mid-tour leave, they spent hours building Star Wars Lego sets together.

  94. Bakerella, You could use the same cutter and plunger to make an impression on fondant and cover the cookie that way….it would give you a very nice look and be in the color of your choice….then you could even paint details on with food coloring……that would be an AWESOME cookie look! My kids and hubby are head over heels for anything Star Wars….these would make a great family activity for us! Thanks for the chance!

  95. Believe it or not but I saw my very first Star Wars movie about 3 weeks ago (I’m 24). I’m not sure why I had never seen the movies before but I absolutely loved the old series. I have yet to watch the newer ones but I think these cookies would be perfect for a viewing party for the rest of the movies :)

  96. The original Star Wars came out when I was in 4th grade. One of my best friends was a totally weird boy and so totally into Star Wars. He made up a skit for a class presentation and he played R2D2 to my C3P0. I hadn’t seen the movie, so I just did what he told me to do. We were a hit!

  97. A great father’s day gift indeed! My kids and I would make their father’s day special with these brilliant cookie cutters…especially since they recently found a lovingly worn star wars pillowcase that I originally discovered my hubby to rest his tired head on at night when we first met (he was in his late 20’s.) They asked if it was his when he was a little boy…well, yes…and when he was a big boy. I tucked it away and now it is on our eldests’ pillow…thread bare, but the legacy lives on.

  98. My son (now 37) has never forgiven me for selling his Star Wars stuff at a garage sale when HE was the one who told me to do it. Now he wishes he had them back. I would love to make and send him some Star Wars cookies for his birthday in October. It would crack him up!!!

  99. These are perfect for my daddy!!!! His BDay is also in June!

  100. I absolutely LOVE Star Wars, cookies, and your site! This is the best post ever! I would love to win these so I could just sit around all day and eat Boba Fett cookies!!!

  101. I myself am not much of a Star Wars fan, but my husband is a total Sci-Fi guy and these would be great for him. When we were first dating he and his roommate would watch Star Wars and of course we would all fall asleep. When my husband and the roommate would wake up they would start immediately quoting the movie. I would be totally lost, but they would wake up in the middle of someones line and qoute it exactly. NERDS!!

  102. My husband nearly died when I told him that I had never seen star wars. He made me watch them back to back the next weekend and now I love them too.

  103. These would be so much fun to use for my dad (yes, my dad who is in his late 50’s) on his birthday. He has all the old school star wars figurines and is mildly obsessed. So fun.

  104. Boba Fett. Boba Fett. And I have, at last count, four Star Wars figures. *is ashamed to admit she has so few*

  105. Any man in my sci-fi-loving-family would LOVE these! And they are after all who I bake for :)
I like the original films, not so much a fan of the newer ones although they’re OK. I love the Ewoks! – and the Star Wars Ewok Adventures.

  106. I had a roommate who had never seen Star Wars–I was appalled!

  107. My husband might bake me cookies for once if we had these. What IS it with the Boba Fett obsession?! A Yoda fan am I.

  108. The biggest Star Wars fans in my house are the kids. They’ve actually (with Dad) stood in line – in costume – at midnight for first showings of Episodes 1 and 2. They were pretty little then, too. :)

I’m old school. My faves are Episodes 4-6. But, whichever movie we pick, The Star Wars movies have made a huge impact on all of us. We love them!

  109. My fiancee and I are 2 enormous SW geeks…though I know much more then he does and he will proudly admit this.
whenever hes feeling cute, which is a lot, and I say “Ilove you” he will often reply in his best Han “I know”….then I giggle. We are actually going to have that enscribed onto our wedding bands…..
Since we are planning a October Halloween themed wedding, we found a cake topper of a skeleton Han and Leia…..<3

  110. So cute! I remember going to see the “original” Star Wars when I was in Jr. High back in the 70’s. My 17 year old son is a HUGE fan.

  111. Love the Ewoks!!!!!!!!!!

  112. Both my son and husband love love star wars. My son also loves Legos, so…..well…… you can only imagine what his play area looks like when you combine the two. If I don’t win this contest, I’m going straight to WS to buy the set myself. =) Thanks !

  113. Growing up, I lived on a street with a lot of kids…all around the same age. We had a blast! One of our “things” was to make movies (lip synch contests were a big hit as well, but I digress….)
One movie we tried to remake was Star Wars. I was Princess Leia (sp?) and my first crush ever, Kevin, played Han Solo…..such romance for 8 year olds!
Oddly enough though, Kevin grew up and now looks like Harrison Ford. I think it was the movie that did it…..

  114. My boys are just getting into this, how fun would it be to eat these while watching them!! I love all the older 80’s Star Wars, oh the memories.

  115. My boys would love these. They are getting too big for the trucks and trains ones and they refuse to eat flowers. Please let me win! Please let me win.

  116. My entire family is obsessed with Star Wars. My parents even gave my older brother the middle name “Sky”, so that he is ___ Sky Walker.

  117. I know I’m weird… and probably the only person on the planet… that hasn’t seen a Star Wars movie!!! I know. Let the flogging begin!

  118. I really love this video about Darth Vader Canteen Incident… It’s very funny , so enjoy it :-)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muaAZE0M3LU

  119. For some strange reason, I really liked Jar Jar Binks when I first saw him. I even have a giant cup with his head on it from probably Burger King. It’s been years, but I don’t really remember why I liked him. haha

  120. My son…and husband…completely obsessed…it’s ridiculous! Did you know they have Star Wars cookbooks cheap on amazon.com?

    They would love these!

  121. I remember going to see the remade StarWars with my father. Ah…Memories.

  122. I like Star Wars, but my favorite think about it is how my husband and son can discuss it and watch the movies over and over again.

  123. LOVE star wars! My fav. character is Han Solo. I love Harrison Ford. My son has about 16 action figures, and we have all the movies. I would be mom of the year if I won! Thanks!

  124. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan. He can sit and watch all the series from start to finish every weekend.

  125. Wow, my husband loves Star Wars, and it’s one of the few action films I don’t mind watching with him ;) hubbys’ Birthday is coming up, this would be a fun surpise to make for his birthday!!

  126. My boyfriend is a complete Star Wars fan. Telling me everything he knows about the movies (and all the books he’s read). He is very upset that I have never seen Episode 3 and it is a large goal of his to get me to see it. He has all the posters in his room and owns a lot of the action figures. Making him these cookies would be perfect!

I’ve seen all the other ones (I couldn’t grow up in a household where my father resided and not see them) and have really enjoyed them. I understand why they are so loved, they’re amazing movies.

  127. I was a child when the first Star Wars hit the screen and I became instantly hooked. My mother was devastated that her hoped for girlie girl wanted to be Darth Vader that halloween and I asked for Star Wars stuff for every birthday and Holiday. When I got a little older and stopped playing with all the stuff she gave it all to my little cousin. He destroyed all the toys I had lovingly cared for. Some would have still been in boxes. I still remind him of this every time I see him.

  128. Well…according to my five year old…his favorite character is Darth Vader and his favorite movie is number 3. And…don’t forget his favorite game – lego starwars. Yep…starwars fan that one is :)

  129. My husband and son are both Star Wars nuts. My son loves all the bad guys. I would love to make some Father’s Day cookies with my son for his daddy. I think they would both get a huge kick out of these.

  130. My son is INFATUATED with Star Wars. Reads every book he can get his hands on. Spent two weekends with my husband watching all the movies. We even had an AWESOME Star Wars birthday party for him in December – these would have been perfect! But, we would still enjoy making them now! And we can share with my nephew who is also INFATUATED with all things Star Wars. I’m sure my sister will be signing up for this!!

  131. my hubby loves start wars! And I love Williams-Sonoma! Eeeps, what a fun idea. Did you see the pancake molds too? My fav character has to be padme/queen amidala. The hubs probably likes Obi-wan.

  132. Empire strikes back is the best Star Wars movie. I like Star Trek as well, so I guess I’m not a very good Star Wars Fan.

  133. My 7 year old loves Star Wars. I would love to make him some Star Wars cookies..

  134. My whole family just love’s Star Wars. My mom especially though. :) She has several of the figurines that are on rotating stands and a bunch of the mugs with the characters faces on them. She even has a whole binder full of collectors cards! As you can see, a big fan of Star Wars. But also a fan of cookies! lol! ;) She would just love these cookie cutters!

…Good luck to everyone! I’m sure whomever wins will enjoy them!

    Many Blessings!
    -Miss Jessica P.

  135. As a child I wanted to be Princess Lea for Halloween. My mom obviously hadn’t paid attention to the movie & made me a purple gown with sequins around the neck & a star magic wand. At least she got my hair right with the buns on each side.

  136. My three-year-old daughter loves Star Wars (thanks to her father and much to my chagrin!) and says that her favorite movie is Star Wars Episode V. It’s hilarious hearing that come out of such a little body!

  137. My son has a zillion of the figurines and a TON of Lego Star Wars. These cookie cutters are the best. So flippin cool

  138. I haven’t actually let my boys watch Star Wars yet. They are a little too young, but the Lego Star Wars game is perfect for them! They know all the characters and all the “lingo.” One day we’ll introduce them to the movie, and these cookies would be the perfect family movie night treat!

  139. My 4 year old son absolutely loves Star Wars!

  140. oooooohhhhhhh! If I don’t win, I will have to RUN to Williams Sonoma and get them. This could be the gift that keeps on giving for my husband…make cookies fo him for every holiday as he is a STAR WARS FANATIC!! Thanks!

  141. looking great.
I love star wars, amazing cutters.

  142. Ok, I won’t lie. I’m not the hugest Star Wars fan. BUT – I’m a nanny, and the 5 year old boy that I look after LOVES Star Wars. Beyond loves. He’s got every figurine imaginable – in 3 or 4 different styles. He has the video games, and is always bugging me to play them (I won’t, because I don’t know how). He has posters up in his room, t-shirts, and underwear of Star Wars. These cookie cutters could quite possibly top off his collection…the icing on the…cookie!

  143. Those look like so much fun! I was in high school when the prequel movies came out and stood in line for the midnight opening of one (and on a school night, no less!). The original are still my favorite, though!

  144. Still have the Star Wars sheets my son had to have for his bedroom at age 6. He’s now 22! Still doesn’t want me to get rid of them though.

  145. My husband and daughter enjoy playing with Star Wars legos. These cookies would be great for their lego night.

  146. Star Wars has always been a huge thing with our family. My brother still has the original toys that came out with the first movies. If we had kept them in the boxes, I think we could have made a little money off of them. My fiance and I are actually preparing Halloween costumes of Lego Han Solo and Lego Princess Leia. They look awesome and these cookie cutters would be a great gift to give to him.

  147. Oh, goodness! These are adorable! My husband would absolutely go nuts if I made him Star Wars cookies, and I would love, love, love trying my hand at decorating these guys. So cool!

  148. I’m a self diagonosed Star Wars geek. They have been favorite movies since I can remember. I have nearly every lego set, I have have over 600 figures, still in packages of course, The Cookie Cutters are great, I need to add them to my Collection! Thanks for posting!

  149. I’m the only person that I know of who loved the Ewok cartoon. LOVED. I never even saw any Star Wars movies until ten years ago. For shame.

  150. My son and my husband are Star Wars Fanatics. One day when my son was little his dad realized that he still had his old Star Wars toys from when he was little in his mom’s attic. So he went and got them and gave them to my son who absolutely flipped out. It was the cutest thing to see them sitting on the floor playing star wars together.

  151. Our daughter was due on May 4th. Our friends joked that she needed to be named Luke or Leah (we didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl), so we could say May the 4th be with you. However, she was born the day after, and was spared!

She is now 1 year old. When I was pregnant with her we started watching through the star wars series b/c i didn’t have a whole lot of energy to go out. we watch through all 6 movies twice while I was pregnant and again since she was born, including all re-mastered versions including special features. You’d never know that we have become such geeks, but it has become a special date time for us, complete with home made popcorn. I’d love to make these cookies for him for one of our date nights!

  152. My favorite is the music. When I was a sophomore in highschool I tried out to be the drum major and used Stars Wars music for my try-out.

  153. These are GREAT!!! My brother (who turns 30 next month) is obsessed with all things Star Wars. I’m thinking he might need some cookies instead of a birthday cake!

  154. My husband loves Star Wars! Not only does he have every figurine there is, he also has all of the PEZ dispensers! He would go crazy for these!!!!! Here’s hoping I win them.

  155. I can’t believe you found these!!!! My husband would be sooooooooo excited :) He’s the biggest star wars dork i know, we have all of the movies, he has a darth vader outfit which he wore to the midnight opening of the 3rd movie release, he used to have a Hollywood replica of the Count Duku lightsaber handle, he has the L.E.D. or florescent lighted lightsabers (which he also sold to help pay for our wedding but our friends and family actually bought them off of ebay from him and surprised us at our wedding), i stopped buying him star wars stuff b/c he has it all, except some lego ship thingy that he wants (can you tell im not the biggest star wars pile of knowledge?) lol….. anyways, there’s pretty much few and far between that he doesn’t have that isn’t star wars (he even has the 2 cook books!) and this would make a wonderful addition to his ever growing collection :) They are way too cute!!!!!

  156. I was the ONLY girl in my WHOLE elementary school who had a Star Wars lunch box. Back when lunch boxes were metal and came with a thermos. If only i’d known back then how much it was going to be worth!!! I never would’ve let it rust in the garage!

  157. Oh I hope I win!!

  158. One of my favorite insults is derived from Star Wars – calling someone a “nerf herder!”

  159. OH. MY. GOSH! My husband and sons would go NUTZ for these! As I type this, the three of them are in the other room playing StarWars Legos on the playstation! My hubby couldn’t wait until the boys were old enough to really appreciate the Star Wars movies & they often have Star Wars marathon movie weekends where they watch all six movies! I would totally be their hero if I could make some of these cookies for the next marathon!

  160. My boys are new to the world of Star Wars, but let me tell you, they are IN LOVE!! And I can only imagine the looks on their faces if I made them Darth Vader cookies :) TOO CUTE!

  161. Can’t beat a bit of Harrison Ford ;D

  162. BEST! COOKIE! CUTTERS! EVER!!! When I was two, my daddy took me to the newly released “Empire Strikes Back” and I fell head-over-heels, irrevocably in love with Yoda. He was my favorite long before he became ‘cool’ to the world in general and I have a lovely little ode to Yoda in the form of a collection of figures and such. I’ve tried to pass on the greatness that is Star Wars and my kiddos would absolutely LOVE these cookies!

  163. My dad and I have never had alot in common – I’m the creative type, he’s the math whiz; I was athletic, he preferred computers, etc. But when I was about 12 years old I decided to give this Star Wars thing a try since he had always been such a fan. And thus began my lifelong love of the trilogy (and beyond). To this day it’s still one of the (very) few things my dad and I have in common. I will always be thankful to George Lucas:)

  164. OMG! My sons are obsessed with Star Wars, as well as my nephews, and all their frends! I have made them Star Wars cakes, but they would LOVE cookies like these… WOW! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US ALL!

  165. My boyfriend loves Star Wars! His birthday is coming up and I wasn’t sure what to make him. These would be perfect!

  166. Oh, my favorite! Star Wars is the first movie I ever saw in a theater! I loved it so much I’ve watched the original in VHS (yes way back then) more times than I care to count.

  167. I like Star Wars because Yoda know the difference between right and wrong. =)

  168. I’ll never forget going to see the very first Star Wars movie. I went all by myself. The very first time I had ever gone to a movie by myself. It became my very own little tradition. New Star Wars movie, my own private viewing. :)

  169. These are amazing!! They definitely take me back to my childhood.
My favorite characters are definitely Yoda and Chewbacca! :)

  170. My son would really dig these!

  171. I love Star Wars (all six)!

  172. I now know the entire history of star wars including the correct name of planets and who came from where thanks to by bf.

  173. My mother made me watch all the movies when I was a kid. Then, I saw all the new ones at the theater. My son has a bear he dressed up as Darth Vader, complete with light saber. I think I’m going to have to get him the Lego Star Wars game next. Thanks for the chance to win!

  174. i saw these on their website the other day and….i need them!! I’m not a big star wars fan, but my boyfriend…..and my daughter….oh they would just LOVE these!! I guess that’s my favorite thing about it….it makes them happy! =)

  175. My adorable nephews are very much into star wars. When they stayed with me last weekend they used everything (including a wooden spoon!) as a light saber–which, in their teenie voices they call “light savers”. (Also, Darth Vader is Dark Mader, etc)So cute! They would LOVE their aunt to make these, I’m sure of it!

  176. My favourite movie is The Empire Strikes Back, and my favourite character…I dunno, probably Han Solo? Or maybe Lando Calrissian. It’s hard to choose!

  177. For our first xmas, I got my boyfriend a darth vader bobble head figurine for his car…he loved it :) He’s not a big fan of sweets but I think he’d like these cookies for sure!

  178. My nephew love Star Wars–and cookies! What a perfect match!

  179. These are awesome! I remember very clearly seeing the original films in a the theater. I even had a Star Wars lunch box! I’ve never forgiven my mother for selling my figures at a garage sale. How could she? I had them all…Luke, Leia, Han, Chewy, R2D2, C3PO, Vader, a Stormtrooper…even a taun taun!

  180. To be honest I’m not into it and actually fell asleep during the movie at the theatre one time, but my husband and boys LOVE Star Wars and these cookies would be a big hit!

  181. I definitely went dressed up as a Jedi to my prom. So did my date. I’ve gone to classes in college dressed up as well, memorized the movies, read a LOT of the books, beaten a lot of the video games, and seen Star Wars in Concert and bought souvenirs. I think it’s safe to say I like Star Wars, lol ;). But to bake Star Wars cookies…. haven’t done that yet, and would LOVE to!!

  182. I like Star Wars because I just found out that Darth Vader is my dad…

  183. My son would absolutely love these!!! He is in love with Star Wars. I took him to the Star Wars exhibit at the Science Museum a couple years ago.

  184. My nephews would LOVE these. My husband bought them the lego Star Wars game for playstation and their knowledge on video games and Star Wars far exceeds mine. But making cookies – there’s something I know about. This could be my in to being the “cool” aunt I’ve always wanted to be.

  185. To be sincere, I didn’t even see the movies …but my husband would DIE if I make him these cookies…I would become the perfect wife !!! come on!!!! I need some good luck this time!!!!!!!!! =)

  186. What 7 year old boy doesn’t like Star Wars???

  187. I was eyeing these in store the other day and have been meaning to add them to my wedding registry. someone who is marrying a Mr Luke Walker (NOT KIDDING, that’s his name) needs to have these cookie cutters!

  188. I didn’t see the original Star Wars until a few years ago, but it quickly became my favorite movie. It was also a clear indicator that I am getting old that I was more attracted to Han Solo than Luke. Harrison Ford is only oh, 40 years older than me.

  189. It’s me. I still have boxes and boes of all my old Star Wars toys in the garage. I keep saying I will get rid of the,…sell them…but I cant bring myself to do it. They defined my childhood. I’ll have most of them til the day I die I imagine.

  190. Wow! I would be the hero of just about every man in my life with a set of these :-) What a great find!!!

  191. Oh my! My sons are completely obsessed with Star Wars, much to my daughter’s chagrin. Middle one has a bday coming up and we’ve started planning his party. I think that I just found the basis for the entire party! Thanks for sharing!

  192. My cousin’s husband would LOVE these cookies. He’s got a tattoo of Yoda on his shoulder, and his children were Star Wars characters every Halloween until they could decide what they wanted to be on their own.

  193. The great thing about Star Wars is being able to share the movies with your kids and relive your experience of Star Wars with them and thru them. I was the same age as my son (5) when the original Star Wars came out and now he loves the newer version of the story as much as I did the original. He hates when I do my Yoda and Chewbacca imitations. Our favorite movie is Empire Strikes Back and we like Chewbacca.

  194. No chewbacca? That’s sad. That Yoda sure is cute though!

  195. Oh I love your blog and your creations!
I also love Star Wars and when our youngest daughter was born her ears stuck out a little. We called her our little Yoda!
    I hope I win!

  196. I LOVE STAR WARS! Actually, a bunch of my close friends at college decided that they all wanted to have Star Wars names in my cell phone’s address book. It took a while to get used to which character actually was which friend, but it’s super exciting everytime Obi Wan calls me or I get a text message from Darth Vader. I even sometimes hear from Scruffy Nerf Herder! These cookie cutters are fantastic, and I have a feeling Yoda will love eating himself, haha.

  197. My favorite descriptor of unsavory people is Jaba the Hut. I had a professor in college who sat on the edge of his desk in the front of the room and was always sticking his tongue out of the side of his mouth while squinting down at us. Jaba the Hut. I have a student, now, who kind of lashes out with things all of a sudden and bothers other people. Jaba the Hut. I’m not sure I’d want a Jaba the Hut, cookie cutter, though. The other ones are fine. 8)
