Sublime

Today’s post was supposed to be something cute in time for Easter. Unfortunately, I didn’t do any baking this weekend or last. I’ve been sick and was in the hospital for a few days. Today is the first I’ve felt up to even getting on the computer. Thank you everyone that emailed wondering if I was ok. You don’t know how much that made me feel better. And I am better now. It just takes me a little longer to get over things.
Here’s why if you’re interested.

And, if you’re still looking for something bunny-related, then try this, this, this, this or this from previous years.

Now, luckily I still have last week’s post that never made its way live. It’s about doughnuts. Delicious decadent doughnuts.

You see, last year I was shooting some photos at a friend’s studio for the Cake Pops book coming out later this year. We started early in the morning and I hadn’t eaten yet. My friend offered me a doughnut. I was like yes. Perfect. When I opened the plain white box, there was only one doughnut left, curiously shaped like the letter A. An A doughnut? That’s kinda weird. Then he told me they were from the other day. Hmmmm. Do I want a who-knows-how-old doughnut? Yes. Yes. I did. I was hungry. So I threw it in the microwave for a few seconds to try and revive it. And, oh my. Oh my! OH MY! It was the best doughnut I’ve ever put in my mouth. The plain glazed A-shaped doughnut was filled with the most delicious mocha filling. I about died. Before I could even finish I was asking my friend where they came from.

But, he didn’t know. GASP. Someone had brought them to the studio for another shoot. And no one there knew the name or where they came from. Noooooo.

Just my luck, but probably a good thing for my waist.

Then weeks later, I was flipping through some magazines and found this little feature.

IMG_7649

See.

No… not the cute owner. See the A doughnut on the left? It had to be the same place. Thank you for A-shaped doughnuts.

Finally, I found you.

IMG_7341

Sublime Doughnuts in Georgia. We were reunited briefly in January. The doughnuts made an appearance on the Sugar Coma tour I attended where I was able to taste a few.

But I wanted more. I wanted to try all their flavors. So, weeks later. Like a couple of weeks ago. I finally made my way to Sublime.

IMG_7345

I ordered a dozen for myself.

IMG_7366

Each one different.

IMG_7390

Like this Smores doughnut.

IMG_7410

This Butter Toffee with Caramel Chocolate Icing.

IMG_7397

And this Chocolate Wild Berry Fritter.

Untitled-1

I had a doughnut party with myself and tasted them all.

Including this Caramel Apple Fritter, Red Velvet Cake and Dulce de Leche.

Untitled-2

As well as this A-town Cream and Peanut Butter Cup doughnut.

IMG_7429

Sublime has fab flavors and fun shapes like this Orange Dream Star. Delish.

IMG_7462

And this Oreo doughnut with cream filling. Help.

IMG_7479

And then there’s my old friend the A-Town Mocha. That’s A for Atlanta if you’re wondering. But I say A for Amazing.

IMG_7369

Now, I just need to visit again to try the other dozen flavors that didn’t make it in my mouth.

Can you see, I’m all about doughnuts right now.

If you’re not convinced, take a look at….

IMG_7561

this cute crystal-sprinkled pink doughnut necklace I found. Adorable, huh. It’s from the Alice in Wonderland collection at Swarovski.

I’ve never shopped at Swarovski until the other day. Cupcake Julie and I were at the mall and we peeked in.

IMG_7583

Five minutes later I walked out with this cream colored doughnut necklace wondering what had just happened.

Impulse buying can be dangerous, but I love it and I’m glad I snagged it. So glad, I went online a few days later and ordered another one (This limited edition pink one) to give away. It’s just too dang cute not to share.

IMG_7596

Yay Mel! Isn’t it fun being right. Now your hubby can be reminded of it everytime he looks at this cute little doughnut necklace around your neck. Congrats!

P.S. Julia – you must share a photo of your full sleeve arm tatoo dedicated to Mary Poppins. Fascinating.

  1. Glad you’re feeling better! You scared me! Was checking your site everyday. Thought I was kicked off somehow! Felt a little like a stalker. Can’t wait for the book! I have a shoe addiction so I can’t really tell you how many pairs I have. That might lead to recovery I definitely don’t want that!

  2. Something about me: I would proudly, and guiltlessly, eat every one of those donuts all by myself.

  3. I’m constantly amazed by the Atlanta food scene. Tragically far away!

  4. How come donuts taste so good, but make you feel so bad. It’s hardly fair. :(

  5. I’m grateful for cookies and cream doughnuts.

  9. We used to have a small doughnut shop in myy hometown, where the doughnuts were awesome, but they did homemade crossants and made breakfast sandwiches, AMAZING!!! sadly they closed down and are no more :( They are still my favorite…

  10. Being pregnant and all doughnuts are my fave right now. That post really got my mouth to watering. But my favorite one to eat is strawberry icing with sprinkles!! Excuse me while I go to the store!

  11. Glad you’re feeling better.
I have three kidneys (weird, I know) so if you ever need a spare again, let me know!

    Also, cutest necklaces ever.

  12. I love that! Lets see, when I was in college I worked in a donut shop, everyone said I would get sick and tired of donuts and never want one again. Well they were wrong, as I knew they would be and every day I had a different donut. It probably was not a good thing, but they sure were yummy. I would make up my own carxy kinds, it was so fun and good.

  13. Okay, Bakerella. I am very glad you are okay. I was worried. Do you know, every end of my weekend, I’d go onto your site just to check what new surprise you have out for me to read! Believe it or not, I find it quite intriguing. Just like this post for instance. You made me drool for those donuts! What a tease. Anyway I think the donut I love to eat are those fritters! I’m not sure, since I’m not particularly great with donut names. I just know its darn good!

  14. Dang, those donuts look dangerous! I think my favorite donut (for the moment) is probably good old fashioned cake donuts. But then, I don’t have a Sublime so…

So glad you’re feeling better…nothing makes my day like a new post at Bakerella!

  15. We don’t have dunkin donuts or krispy kreme here in Alaska. So I mosey down to the grocery store and get a frosted raised donut with sprinkles. For my daughter’s 2nd birthday we’ll be having a stack of them because she likes them better than cake!

Right now I have perfected cookie-dough flavored cake balls. They taste just like raw cookie dough but are fully cooked! Cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla extract makes my frosting, plus chocolate chips of course! Divine!

  68. I didn’t like doughnuts until I had my first child. When I was pregnant I’d crave them! Same with rootbeer and Thai food.

  69. I am both sad and grateful that the Krispy Kreme that opened near my town didn’t take (here in the heart of Dunkin Donuts land–my town actually houses their corporate offices), because I would have worked my way into a sugar coma with the plain glazed. Mmmmmmmmmm…yummy! I’m now contemplating a trip to Atlanta for doughnuts!

  70. I’m de-lurking myself for this one! Glad youre on the way to feeling better.

Myself – I year to be a cake baker. I neither have the skill nor the patience required, so I just stare enviously at creations that others make! Thanks!

  71. Oh man, I’m not even a huge doughnut fan but those look SO delicious! And that necklace is beyond adorable. Hope you’re feeling better!

  72. Bakerella! I’m so glad you updated. I was wondering where you have been! I hope you feel better!

Those donuts look wonderful. I stopped in this morning at Dunks because I was desperately wanting a fresh made glazed donut. Yumm =] I think my favorites are the chocolate honey dipped from Dunkin Donuts (unfortunately basically any other place but Boston they call them “Chocolate Glazed” and that just ruins half of the appeal for me. Hah). Although I have to say, good old powdered, glazed, and cinnamon Munchkins are always amazing.

  73. I’m so glad my favourite blogger is better!
    That necklace is the cutest.

I was trying the other day to cure my sickness with coraline button cookies but my fever daze just made them into peanut crumbs.

    delicious though ^^

  74. Oh my gosh! That is the CUTEST necklace EVER!!! AND my birthday’s March 30th! Here’s to blowing out one of my birthday candles ;) Hope you feel better soon!

  77. my favorite donut is a blueberry cake donut from krispy kreme. too bad we dont have a single krispy kreme here in honolulu. but probably a good thing.

glad you are feeling better! i always look foward to your fun ideas!

  78. Man I wish we had doughnuts like that here – I live on Long Island ten minutes from NYC – and we don’t have donuts like that here!

  79. My favorite donut is plain glazed.

  80. Glad to hear you’re feeling better today. My favorite donuts are glazed doughnut and boston creme.

  81. I love that donut shop! I grew up in atlanta but have moved. I miss it :-(

  82. I’m grateful for my husband. My birthday is on the 31st, and he threw a fantastic sorta-surprise party for me this weekend! Even had my 4 year old in on it!

  83. mmmmmmmmm………. donuts! My inner Homer Simpson is drooling right now! :) My favorite happens to be just good old glazed! Thanks for the adorable giveaway and glad you’re feeling better!

  84. I keep meaning to drive into town and try Sublime. Guess I need to make more of an effort!

My bit o’ randomness: My late mother used to manage the donut shop in my hometown. She made donuts and decorated cakes, so it’s probably no wonder I love sweet things!

  85. LOL that’s funny. This Easter everyone is out of town so my sister and I are going to do some fun girls only stuff.

  86. Oh mercy…glad to see you’re doing better! Scary!

Let’s see….something random….welllllllll….*sucks in air* I just found out that I’m pregnant for the first time in my life at age 38 and I’m terrified to bits and PIECES…and well…I love Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs….and uh…I have a sick addiction to pretty patterned paper….*whistles*…and I’m glad that you publish your full feed and I’m sorry I was all pissy-pants-ed about it when you switched over…but I got over it anyway and when you went back to full feeds in my feed reader, I rejoiced and took you out of my category “if I have time” to my “favorites in food” category. ***exhale***

  87. I was starting to wonder what happened the last couple of weeks. I hope that you’re back to feeling 100% soon!

Those donuts look super delicious! The last donut that I had was up in Seattle….vanilla cake with fresh raspberry glaze. Yum! Actually, it looked kind of like that cute little necklace. Not quite so sparkly though ;)

  88. holy moly, i loooove doughnuts!! anything with sprinkles and cream!!

  89. Something about me? I love donuts almost as much as I love jewelry! I’m so hungry for a good donut, breakfast might have to be of the sugary sweet variety tommorrow…

  90. When I was in college at Berkeley, I lived a few blocks away from this place called King Pin Donuts. They were open from 7am-3am (I heard it was because students would be coming back from the bars after 2am & just stand there watching people making donuts through the window, wishing they could have some). They have this glazed buttermilk donut there…I swear I still dream about it. Still warm, it would literally melt in your mouth. I have never had a better donut.

  91. I’m so glad you are on the mend! I’d missed the story of your “second birthday” the first time around, and knowing you got a second chance at a healthy life and choose to spend it so creatively is inspiring.

  92. Something about myself… let’s see… my mother has been a dialysis nurse for over 10 years, and I love visiting her patients, but I love it even more when they receive a transplant and never have to return :)

  93. The necklace is way cute!

My Easter plans are filled with Easter Eggs hunts with my 3 children, and Sunday dinner with my family. I love Easter!

    P.S. Those doughnuts looks delicious!

  94. my heart skips a beat when i see the hot doughnuts sign at krispy kreme on!

  95. It’s good to have you back, glad that you’re feeling better.

    You had me at ‘mocha.’

Ohh wait, something about myself? I make chocolate ganache whipped cream and eat it by the spoonful (BIG spoonfuls). Sometimes I’ll throw a strawberry or two… ah who am I kidding, that’s rare haha.

  96. Doughnuts are my all time favorite food. For my birthday, my friends just get me a dozen and stick candles in them. Maple crullers FTW!

  97. I love donuts of all shapes, sizes & flavors. However, my all time favorite has to be (and no, it’s not gourmet) the Bavarian Creme from Dunkin’ Donuts! Oh man! I LOVE those.. They are filled with bavarian creme (which rocks my world) and then covered in powdered sugar! MMMmmmm. Man, I want one, now!!!

  98. I am a simple doughnut lover. A plain yeasty glazed one is simply perfect for me.

  99. I love the idea of the peanut butter cup donut!!!! Oh my swoon.
And the necklace is too cute.

  100. I’m so sad to hear you were in the hospital, but it’s nice to see you back!! I have missed you!!!!

My family is going out for lunch on Sunday, and then I’m working.

I can totally turn my feet around backwards. Yes, I realize this is strange. Something to do with very flexible hips…which is no easy task when you’re a fatty like me. LOL!

Favorite donut….a fresh and hot glazed Krispy Kreme. Although, I don’t think I’ve ever met a donut I didn’t like.

  101. This Easter I am cat sitting my friends special needs kitty. I am excited because she has a ton of really cool baking stuff at her house, and she is letting me use it! :)

Thanks for the chance to win!

  105. What a coincidence to see this post today. We were just talking about a more exciting / exotic take on the donut today and this is exactly the ticket! Mmmmmm mmmmm. Will they ship to New York?

  106. My twin sister, her hubby and three children hoped in a car… traveled the 7 hrs here and we’ve been having an amazing time since! :) Cooking/baking/playing.

    :::fingers crossed:::

    <3
    xo

  107. What are you doing to all of blog land posting pictures like that?!!
Im dying with donut hunger pains right now.

    Cute little necklace :)

  108. hmmm.. favorite doughnut flavor would have to be the toasted coconut doughnut from Dunkin Donuts. mmmmm. (:

  113. OMG those doughnuts look and sound Amazing!! I wish that Atlanta wasn’t so far away from Connecticut. Although, I do think my husband would be delighted to take a road trip for doughnuts that look that yummy!

  114. Something interesting about me…Bono kissed me (U2 is my favorite band ever) in the video “All Because of You” around the 2min mark. I started praying for that when I was 7…I’m 22. God truly answers even the most bizarre of prayers sometimes.

  115. Yummy! Love the pendant! My husband loves doughnuts so I’m thankful that he will eat more than me so I don’t eat them!! He’s the greatest!

  116. My right foot is half a size bigger than my left foot. Makes shoe shopping interesting :P

  117. glad to hear you’re out of the hospital!

  118. My favorite doughnut is from The Fractured Prune and is called “Pebble Beach.” It’s a honey glaze, dipped in cinnamon sugar and sprinkled with mini-chips. They make your doughnuts fresh when you order them so they’re hot out of the grease when the glaze/toppings go on so they get all melty and gooey and delicious! Yum!

    I’m glad you’re feeling better!

  119. Wowie, THAT necklace is ADOREABLE! My favorite donut flavor WOULD be red velvet (like yours above!) but I have never had a red velvet donut before, so I prefer to name my favorite cupcake flavor, red velvet with cream cheese frosting from Sprinkles Cupcakes in Palo Alto! YUM!!

  120. yum! those donuts look amazing! i’m really bummed cuz there were two nearby donut shops (the fractured prune) that made fresh dessert like donuts and of course, both closed down!! they had one that was a strawberry shortcake flavor that was really delish, and also a rolo flavor one that was also to die for! you also had the option to get it with a scoop of icecream! talk about heaven- made to order donut with vanilla icecream!! mmm mmm!

  121. Oh. My. Gosh.
As soon as I read Alice in Wonderland, I suddenly found it even cuter than before! I LOVE the new Wonderland, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are gods! And I also want to make doughnuts right now – especially the S’Mores one! How brilliant!
I’ve just made your Egg pops for my boys for Easter :) I think I’ll stick to round balls though – those eggs shapes began to irritate me by the end of it bahaha, it took me hours to make them! (with kid-breaks, so chalk that up to exaggeration ;) )

  122. i am addicted to your goodies… they are all so lovely! its my birthday today and i am celebrating with your super yummy butterscotch brownies…. i may even share with my hubby…. if he plays his cards right of course….. thanks for all the ideas… and i cant wait to see your book….. oh by the way …. the doughnut goodness you enjoyed….. they look sickridiculously delish…. wish i was there…… :)!

  123. So glad you are out of the hospital–NOT GOOD!

I’ll take a lemon filled doughnut, please!

  124. I’m so glad you’re feeling better. On Ash Wednesday two years ago, my youngest daughter had a brain tumor removed. I am grateful that it turned out to be benign and she is doing great.

That is one of the cutest necklaces I have ever seen! Thanks for the chance to win it :)
I wish I could also enter to win a couple dozen of those doughnuts!

  125. favorite donut: a classic maple bar with nuts on top

  126. I guiltily try to convince my co-worker (who also follows this blog) to make your cupcake bites any chance I can. She’s really way good at them. Today, I convinced her to bring in cheesecake brownies to work on Monday. I’m excited for them. And as far as my baking? It’s been on hiatus while I focus my efforts on planning my wedding. But I am planning on making some simple chocolate chip cookies for Easter, but I hope to sub out the chocolate chips in lieu of Easter pastel M&Ms! Oh, and I lurve donuts!

  127. For easter I’ll be preparing to go to the hospital to deliver our second child on April 5. I have eaten my fair share of doughnuts this pregnancy :)

  128. Oh my goodness those look amazing! This post makes me miss the old doughnut shop that was within walking distance… That necklace is absolutely adorable too!

Favorite doughnut flavor: Absolutely anything with cream filling. Or sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Bonus points for the two combined.

  129. Your post made me drool on myself. I’m just getting over the stomach flu so donuts aren’t a great idea, but I found myself imaging how amazing each of them must have tasted…

    Thanks for the eye-candy!

  130. Okay Bakerella, I love donuts but let me tell you that my husband loves them even more. It wouldn’t do justice to have a post about donuts and not mention his love for them. I mean, he’s a policeman and you know the rep they have w/donuts. Well, he has a rep within the department so he’s above and beyond any other officer I’ve ever known. The man can put away a dozen in just a few hours. He eats at least 4 up to 6 in one setting and then comes back for more. And, he’s not even fat! Well, he’s not as fat as he should be considering how many donuts he puts away. Seriously!

  131. My favorite donut is the glazed donut from krispy kreme, so sweet and yummy. I went to church with my niece for easter :)

  132. OH heaven! I would love to have tried the red velvet cake. I’ve always been a glazed with chocolate icing and sprinkles. One of my favorites to get is the donut holes with chocolate and sprinkles. Oh delicious. I try to stay away and only go for special times with my girls. Maybe we’ll do that for breakfast on Easter. Thanks for the great blog!

  133. My bestie just introduced me to your site. She said your sprinkles on crack. love the site! if I won I would actually give her the necklace because she loves you.

  134. Would it be wrong yo make a 4+ hour road trip just for doughnuts? I think not.

  135. Its so cute! And all those donuts look yummy!

  136. I have never met a donut that I didn’t like….however, I have no control when it comes to maple donutes or maple bars! And because of that, I am DYING, absolutely DYING to try a Maple Bacon Donut!! (my husband thinks I am weird, but I love dipping my bacon or sausage in the sweet stuff!)

  137. YUM, I would love to try that Mocha doughnut, those are my two favorite things together in one!

  138. I’m allergic to gluten, so I’d have to make my own doughnuts… but I would totally rock *that* gluten-free doughnut! (Crystals are, after all, gluten-free…)

  139. I love nothing in this world better than seeing the HOT FRESH NOW sign at Krispie Kreme. Give me a plain, glazed doughnut and I ‘m in HEAVEN. 8 or 9 later and I’m in bloated hell, but we won’t talk about that….

  140. I hope you feel better soon!!
something about me…I’m making strawberry shortcake for desert tonight…YUMMM

  141. Your pictures reminded me of growing up in Chicagoland and going to Spudnuts in Evanston or Willamette–I still remember the chocolate frosted. You made my mouth water!

  142. i love the star donuts!

  143. Those doughnuts look amazinggg. Unfortunately, I’m nowhere near Georgia, but Doughnut Plant in NYC makes some mean doughnuts too! I love almonds and their Toasted Almond doughnut is one of my favorites.

  144. From Brazil .
I´am on diet so no chocolate for me this easter ! Maybe the carrots ;)

  145. Those donuts look fantastic! Too bad I’m in California and can’t eat them… :[

  146. Something about me? I am literally so excited about the new Doctor Who premier that I am like a fanatical, giggly schoolchild about it.

I also love doughnuts! Enough to wear them.

  147. Hmm … something about me …… I’m learning how to garden and I’m really excited to get my seeds planted!!!

  148. Ummm…I have to clean my keyboard now because of all the drool.

Those donuts look fantastic! I have friends in Atlanta and now I know where I HAVE to go next time I visit!

I have a guilty pleasure…Your SITE! There are so many cool, cute, delicous things on here that I can’t stand it! I have to make some, eat some and share it with everyone! Thank you!

I just made cake balls for the first time and they turned out great! I sold them at a fundraiser (for a friend with cancer) and they pretty much flew out the door!

THANK YOU for such a great site with fabulous recipes! And the donut necklace is to die for!

  149. I have always loved boston creme donuts!! But that oreo cream filled one looks amazingggg! Mmmmm

  150. Awesomely cute giveaway!
My favorite donut flavor has to be the Boston Cream!

  151. Oh, lordy. I don’t know what I want more – that adorable little bauble, or the most awesome doughnut necklace ever, made from those actual doughnuts. My neck would be oh-so-sticky, but my tummy would be happy, happy, happy.

  152. I have a delightful donut related story. My dad had a hobbyist meeting once a month that I tagged along to as a kid. The drive home took us by a Dunkn’Donuts. We would only stop on the occasions when his “donut arm” took over the steering wheel. He played it as a full-on self-propelled monster that lived in his arm and loved donuts. To this day, it’s the one thing my cousins remember about him!

Love the blog and that necklace!

  153. Love your blog. My fave donut is simple- vanilla frosted with sprinkles :)

  154. My favorite doughnut is the plain, glazed one! Love them. Love the necklace too! Thanks for the chance to win. Also can’t wait for your book to come out!

  155. Hope you are ok!! I’m thankful for my son, our sweet miracle!

  156. My favorite donut is chocolate glazed with bavarian creme,..actually…I’ll take any donut that has bavarian creme in the middle!!!

  157. OMG I could move into that shop! And the necklace is to die for!! My grandpa used to work for a little bakery and he was in charge of making the donuts! We used to think he was the dunkin donut man!

  158. I’m sorry you have been sick! For Easter I am not doing anything, just cooking dinner.

  159. Glad you’re on the mend! Guilty pleasure is peanut butter cups…mmm…have some in the fridge, may have to go have one :)

  160. Something about me: I’m pregnant with my third child. Despite being an “old hat” at this, I don’t think I’m ready at all!

  161. I’m thankful that you share your talents with the rest of us who aren’t so creative. And I’m especially glad that you are feeling better.

  162. I have 2 beautiful children I can’t wait to celebrate Easter with!

So glad you are feeling better!! Was worried about you!

  163. How timely – we just tried doughnuts from a local shop that is new to us – Frost. Loved their Aztec Chocolate (with a little cinnamon and cayenne!) and found the maple bar with bacon quite interesting. If only doughnuts had better nutritional values so I could eat them everyday!!!

  164. I really would love a S’mores donut right now. Yummy.

  165. We don’t have any shops like that here, so I stick to the Krispy Kreme. I love the glazed doughnut, with chocolate on top! That necklace is too cute!

  166. I enjoy cherry stick doughnuts. Tim Hortons of course. However, I suspect I’d like Krispy Kreme if I ever encountered one in the flesh. And the ones you posted – another world!!

  167. Those doughnuts look sooo yummy!! nom nom nom
I think I gained 5 lbs from this post!

Some random about me? hrmm …… i would love to learn how to highland dance!

  168. Grateful for… your site, doughnuts, and my sister, who lives in Atlanta and who will soon learn about Sublime if she doesn’t already!

  169. I’m a donut hater, unfortunately, but these donuts look like something I would eat. Anything with crazy, different flavours, I will eat. Thank you for opening my eyes! :)

  170. Love this post! Unfortunately I currently live very far away from Sublime Donuts (I live in Calgary, AB Canada). I grew up in Alabama which would have been a doable drive but alas not any more. I must admit that, in Canada, I can do without donuts. Tim Horton’s donuts just aren’t that good. I grew up on Krispy Kreme donuts and that is the standard for a plain donut to me. I lived behind the Krispy Kreme in Tuscaloosa, AL when I was in University and it caused most of my freshman 15! I will definitely have to stop by Sublime when/if I get back to Atlanta.

  171. I am grateful for still being able to enjoy my sweet tooth (in much moderation). Given that diabetes is high in my family health history… that is definitely something to be very VERY grateful for! I thank god every single time my results come back good, and I can still enjoy that one more dessert!

  172. I have to have others go in and order doughnuts for me, otherwise I spend 30 mins trying to pick which ones I want.

  173. I AM A BLOSSMING BAKER…JUST STARTING TO FIND MY “INNER BAKERELLA” (THANKS TO U)!!!! LUV IT!!!

I AM INTERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR MY 4 YR OLD SON AND MY LIFE; FOR EASTER I’LL BE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE YOUR MINI EASTER BASKET CUPCAKES AND/OR EASTER EGG CAKE POPS.

  174. I am sitting in Panera with a bagel in front of me, but all of a sudden it doesn’t sound so tasty any more. MUST HAVE DOUGHNUT!!!! That Oreo one looks amazing!!! Would love a donut necklace. :-)

  175. I’m making hey every bunny cupcakes for easter. last year i made the easter baskets and they were a hit! thanks for all your cute ideas!! you make me the hit of every family get-together!

    Hope you are feeling better!!

  176. I have been wondering where you are! Glad you are doing better!

  177. hello Bakerella,

i’m so sorry to hear that you were sick, but I’m very glad you’re better.

I love your work. I love seeing your blog pop up in my reader. I love donuts, too, so this was a very fun post. It’d be cool to win that necklace.

    Keep feelin’ better girl!

    Julie@uppercrustcakes.com

  178. Those donuts look extremely tasty! Since it’s a donut topic, I’ll share that I despise Krispy Kreme. I’ll eat any other donut, but I just don’t like theirs. I hope that doesn’t disqualify me from the adorable little necklace…

  179. Yummy!! Those doughnuts look so good I live right outside Atlanta and I’m starting to think I need to take a trip to sublime! :) As for something about myself….I call my daughter peanut because I ate soooo much peanut butter while I was pregnant with her. :)

  180. So glad you’re feeling better! LOVE those necklaces! I love donuts…I think my favorite flavor is anything with chocolate!

  181. Oh man, I live in GA… I just might end up going and getting my own dozen donuts. But my love handles won’t love it. ughh. They look SO GOOD.

And that’s a totally cute necklace.. enter me to win!!
(and in case the fact that I live in GA isn’t good enough, here’s another something about me: I like doing things that don’t make sense.)

  182. I am grateful for my family pulling together to help my Mom with a huge garage sale because her house was going into foreclosure. I am even more grateful because we all banded together to help her and now her house is not going into foreclosure. I am so grateful for my wonderful family and strong, beautiful mother.

I love the necklace and it would be a perfect mother’s day present for my amazing mother. So beautiful!

  183. I love cake donuts and would gladly eat any of the ones posted today.

  184. I love sublime doughnuts! My favorite is the fresh strawberry cream doughnut. It’s delicious!

  185. My bff and I made cakepops for the first time last weekend for her 1 year old’s brithday.. you were a hit! Now everyone in Richmond, Va knows about the fabulous Bakerella. :)

  186. Wow. That makes me want to go to Georgia just to try those donuts! I love double chocolate donuts – the chocolate cakey ones with the chocolate frosting. Yum!

  187. Besides loving your blog and donuts, I also am finally willing to admit I love tap dancing. I have taken it up as an adult and can’t stop my feet from tip-tapping away. I won’t be showcasing anytime soon, but in the confines of my basement with my kids as a willing audience, I’m having a blast!

  188. I love the necklace. SO CUTE!

  189. Honestly, I love real donuts, but my favorite donuts in the world are the felt donuts people sell on Etsy. I think they’re so adorable! I want a glass case in my house just to showcase my collection of felt donuts.

  190. SOO CUTE necklace! And can I just tell you that I love your site? It makes my heart happy. Hope you’re feeling better!

  191. I really don’t remember the last time I had a doughnut, but I’d have to go with my childhood favorite –> chocolate frosting with rainbow sprinkles.

  192. My favorite donut flavor is blueberry cake! YUM YUM :)
    Those donuts look DIVINE.

  193. when i was a kid, my favorite donut was the one with pink icing from dunkins. SO GOOD.

  194. Something about myself? Hmm…I just cleaned a toilet I share with my boyfriend. I yearn for the days when I only had to clean toilets that my female roommates used. Men are just gross.

  195. LOVE that necklace! Hmmm…my favorite donut?? Definitely Boston Cream :) Hope you feel better soon!

  196. Oh my gosh, those are the tastiest-looking doughnuts I’ve ever seen! I would love to try the Orange Dream Star…mmm. :-)

  197. Lovely! I’m diabetic so I steer clear of donuts — as much as I love them, I just…CAN’T. Wouldn’t it be great, though, to have a little jeweled one to enjoy?

  198. I love choclate flavoured donuts and honey glazed yummmm

i luv bakin and makin new differnt things… Thanks alot for sharin this wth us love u bakerella:D

  199. wow, am I really the first to comment? that necklace is TOO cute! I am just wishing I had one of those donuts right now… any of them… I sure do love donuts!!! I think my favorite donut is the kreme-filled one from Krispy Kreme. Yum!!!
